Sadly, I must leave a negative review before I can even check out.
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL IF YOU'RE NOT READY TO BE BOMBARDED BY CONSTANT NOISE. By noise, I mean SERIOUS NOISE—as if you don’t have windows or have them open.
I wish I had read the reviews before booking. They assigned me room #525, and I see negative reviews about this room specifically and about noise throughout the hotel.
The staff is pretty warm and great overall, but the experience of staying in a bad room undoes all the hard work they put in.
I've told the management that room #525 should absolutely not be let out without fixing the noise issues. They've offered me to change the room, but they can't certainly say or guarantee that it will be quieter than this one. I do not want to go through the hassle of packing and unpacking everything to discover that the new room is equally bad.
I paid for an upgrade at check-in, and it feels like I paid to experience the "Manila traffic right through your room."
Update: Changed (improved rating). They went the extra mile to communicate how sorry they felt about the situation. I had a late flight, so they also let me use the room and stay in it until 8 p.m. without a charge. Additionally, they booked me an airport transfer, which made my travel very comfortable.
