The hotel is located in the touristy area of Ermita so you can get access to numerous hotels, and restaurants easily although it's not the cleanest part of the city. Beaches, parks, museums is within a distance walk. The room including bath room is clean and quit spacious with affordable fares. But even with that price, it doesn't include toiletries and amenities like slippers and the mattress is often slides from the bed easily. I think the room is not perfectly sound-proofed as you still can hear the slightest noises from the room next door and neighborhood. The staff is nice and helping specially the receptionists make the check in/check out process go smoothly. But the doormen need to be more 'warm' with at least smile when welcoming and helping the guests. Staff hospitality is all that matter in hospitality industry. If the hotel could improve the shortcomings, I would easily recommend it to other people intended to visit Manila.

It has been an absolutely terrible day. We took our child to the zoo, came back completely sweaty with our clothes drenched — and the hotel had no water at all from 5 PM until almost 10 PM. My child is already sick, and because there was no water, he had to go to bed covered in sweat. To make it worse, the toilet couldn’t flush for hours, so we were forced to stay in a room with unflushed waste. Is the hotel expecting us to live with that until we check out? This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that claims to offer proper service. We absolutely expect a refund or proper compensation for this experience. And honestly, it feels like the hotel does not even care about its guests.

A pleasant 3 day stay at Hop Inn Ermita. Arriving after midnight we were welcomed by friendly security and main reception staff. They were very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. Basic double room was spacious, clean, equipped with tv (Netflix wouldn’t work), desk area. Double bed was large, comfortable and clean. Clean bathroom with soap and shampoo. Water pressure was good but hot water from electric shower didn’t come on - we didn’t mind the cold shower though. WiFi in the room was very bad. Could not hold 1 bar of signal. Had to download items in the lobby where the wifi was much better. Not good for working in room. Room and corridor often had strange smell - perhaps from bad ventilation. Free water refill available on every floor. Location is close to Manila Bay and short journey to Intramuros, Rizal Park, Chinatown, Mall of Asia by transport/taxi - where there are plenty of restaurants. But does not feel very safe walking around the nearby area, where there are an only few restaurants. 7-11 and coffee shop are conveniently downstairs. 30 minute drive from airport. Overall would recommend for a short stay. Price was reasonable for the city and convenient to book through Klook.

We had a great 3-day stay at Hop Inn Hotel in Ermita. The place is clean, comfortable, and we really recommend it. Adrian at the lobby was very helpful, and his assistance made us feel at home. There were many people staying at the hotel because of the rally for transparency and a better democracy, but even with the crowd, the service stayed very good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

I have a lot of good stuff to say about this hotel. One of my non-negotiable when traveling is to find a budget-friendly accommodation but does not compromise quality and this definitely meets it! Here are the pros of this place: • Clean and smells good. • Work desk space is perfect for someone who works remotely. • Wifi connection is strong and reliable. Even mobile signal works great. • Toilet is clean and has a functional heater. No toiletries included though and do not expect much from their bath soaps. Better to bring your own. • Beds are comfy. • Refillable water in the lobby. • Use of Whatsapp or Viber to communicate with the reception area. • 7/11 just beside the hotel! • Staff is friendly and polite. • Fast check-in and check-out. For the price, and you get all of these is not too bad at all! Cons: • A bit far from the airport. Anticipate traffic along the way. • The bed keeps on sliding off the frame. • Noise insulation is not that great. I could hear the room above us moving their chair. Luckily, aside from occasional noises, it has been peaceful and quiet. • Hoping there are bedside tables for each bed and additional sockets. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a cozy short stay! I will also choose this hotel over other expensive ones with outdated interiors.

I am extremaly disappointed with the service provided by the hotel. Our stay in Hop Inn Ermita Manila for two nights started with horribly long check-in process (20 minutes) even though it was 5pm. The reason was supposedly the lack of bath mat. Upon arriving we got the mat, however it was clearly used and dirty. In the evening the water was cut off with no information from the management and very difficult contact with the front desk. The next day fortunately water was back. Around 2pm we were asked to move rooms, even despite "do not disturb" sign hanging on the doors. Having already decided to change hotel for our last night stay in the Philippines we did not have to switch the rooms.

I arrived at nine in the morning, and of course the room wasn't ready. I came back at 12:00 and waited three and a half hours to check in. I've never seen anything like it in all my years of traveling. At 3 p.m., they told me, "Just ten more minutes, we're finishing up the last few things in the room." I went up to the room and there were no towels. I went to reception to ask for them and they told me they were on their way from the laundry. A nightmare. I've been traveling since yesterday to get here, I took a night flight, and all these things caused me enormous discomfort, also making me lose an afternoon when I could have visited the city. Really unprofessional. Not recommended.

We were together with my husband in Manila in this Hotel. The best positive staff, good, clean and fresh room and also Hop inn shares a building with 7/11, you can buy whatever you want 24 per 7. It was amazing experience. Only want a small cheap Café with local breakfast. And it will be the best option. Thank you ❤️🫂
