Hopdoddy Burger Bar

I love this restaurant so much! The beer’s huge—feels as big as my face. I got a Blue Moon, it’s so good. And I really like their fries, especially with all that cheese on top—super tasty. I ordered a spicy burger, with Mexican chili peppers in it, and it’s actually pretty spicy. Really enjoyed the food here, highly recommend it—I’ll definitely come back!

This was one of the BEST burgers I have had in a while. I dinned in during lunch so it was a good crowd and fast service. I didn’t care for my order of truffle fries they were cool too hard for my lookin but the burger was wonderful and I will be back to try one of their many other options.

Went on a Friday night and it wasn't busy. Really enjoyed the vibe of the place. The fries were skinny fries, which are the ones I like. The burgers were cooked really well, but it did take a little bit getting to the table even though they weren't as busy at the moment.

Soooooo good! And you can do your burger with lettuce or on a bed of brussel sprouts so it is gluten free. The truffle fries are so bomb as well.

One of my favorite burger spots to visit—hands down. What stands out the most for me is the service. There was a small mix-up with my order, but the manager quickly resolved it without hesitation and even followed up to make sure everything turned out right. In a world where even basic courtesy is becoming rare, that kind of attention truly made my day. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

It is our first time in Dallas. Went to this burger joint right off the plane for lunch. Glad we did. That service was excellent and waygu burger was fantastic.

My hamburger was great. The homemade lemonade is great. Wife and kids had chicken strips they said were very good. It was pretty pricey but I guess on par with the area.

A fun burger joint. The employees were very sweet and helpful. One walked up to us and handed us menus and gave us a table as soon as we walked in the door. The burger was delicious right along with the truffle fries. The truffle sauce was the cherry on top! Their gluten free bun was great. The fries are also cooked in their own burner making them completely GF :)

Been going once a week this fall and love it! Milkshakes are 10/10. Great selection of burger options and I appreciate the bison and grass fed options. Had a togo order messed up, emailed and received an immediate reply for a make up burger. Great atmosphere and easy parking! No offense to the Mckinney ave location but this is much safer for the kids.

Let me start with this, We've been coming here since it opened. Its been one of our go-to's. However, I was not very impressed with the attitude of our bartender last evening. She was sort of apathetic and rude toward us. On a good note, there was another young man behind the bar that picked up her slack. He was very nice and accommodating. We ended up giving him the check because she had him take it from of instead of herself. She acted like she did not even want to be bothered taking our money as she was miserably slicing apples. I just hope he got our tip instead of her. We will be giving this plays another try since we enjoy the service and most times, good service. But if we keep ending up with this woman (she has nose piercings) then we will never come back and decrease stars down to "1"

Creative burger options and something for everyone. Nice size burgers. Parmesan fries are great. Shakes are great.

Hopdoddy is always a solid choice. I usually get the Llano Poblano burger, and it never disappoints. The poblano gives it a nice little kick without being too spicy. Also, their truffle fries are a must. It does get busy, but service is usually pretty quick. Good spot for a casual meal.

Magic Shroom Burger My dad got so excited and was hyping up this "new" burger place he found, and I had to laugh when I realized he was talking about Hopdoddy's!! Always one of my favorite burger places. Such good quality and flavor, and just the right size to be filling without being too heavy. The service here is super efficient and helpful. Large interior, great tables by the windows. My other favorites here are the Thunderbird and Truffle Fries. My vegetarian friends have always loved the veggie burger too!!

Reallllly yummy burgers and great fries! The prices are decent. A ton of different burger options and lots of seating inside and outside. Definitely recommend and love coming here whenever I'm craving a burger!

This was my third and final visit. The meat on the burger wasn't hot, there was no cheese on my cheeseburger, the GLUTEN-FREE bun fell completely apart, after being promised all three visits that it wouldn't, (yes, I returned three times!), and the door was propped open to no apparent work being done, and it was chilly. The manager came over but did nothing but told me she made the buns herself today and has never heard any complaints. With so many places to choose, I will forgo this place.

My friend got a Oreo milkshake and she loved it so much that it was gone before our burgers hit the table. The burgers were good, but not extraordinary. I was looking for a bigger burger to match the fries. The fries are enough to feed 3! I do wish it was a thicker cut of fries so you can enjoy the Parmesan truffle part of it without stuffing 5 in your mouth at a time. It was freezing in there, so bring a jacket folks !

Great ambience for a burger bar. We ate at the bar instead of waiting in line to order. Excellent service at the bar. Impressive beer selection. For my first visit, we both tried the standard burger with white American and bacon added. The burger and the bun has good flavor but the burger was a little dry even though it was cooked properly. Fries are OK and certainly shareable. Snuffers still has my vote as the better burger.

The food and service is always the best when I come here. Everything taste fresh, the people on the registers are friendly and inviting and the location is great. I typically get the chicken sandwich or the patty melt. But I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

Unbelievably good tuna salad! Recently I was in, placed order for three items on happy hour price. Person who rang me up charged full price. Days later I went in for tuna salad & the manager took care of my entire order! Very good management. Excellent food.

This place was fantastic. My son had recommended when we first moved to Dallas a year ago. The cashier was so nice. Patient. She explained everything to us. Answered all our questions. Defiantly will be back. Delish!!!!!!

It has been awhile so I don't remember the taste of the burger. However, for a to go order, the burger was given to me in a paper bag placed 'vertically ' instead of horizontally, so I had to try to stack them back and wasn't sure if I was having a burger. Does it require training to know to place the burger horizontally?

Came here for Linner hehe - the ambiance was nice. Servers were friendly and respectable. Checked in on us a few times, even brought extra requested condiments to the table. Ordered the El Bandito Veggie Burger along with the Hot Honey & Sage Sweet Potato fries - and that meal was quite delectable. The proportion size was great. I removed the arugula from the burger because it doesn't taste well with it, in my opinion. I gave a 4 star because I like my food hot and unfortunately my food didn't come out hot but warm.

It is the best food I love it so good the service was awesome I would come here again.

One of the best burgers in the city. Huge selection of burgers. The portions size were big too. The best seller which I had yesterday, the Magic Shroom was so full of flavor and has packed of stuffing. I also recommend the Parmesan Truffle Brussels which has nice patty and fresh veggies too. The fries were great and so delicious. Perfect with beer! My husband like this place. The place was clean, and large. It get crowded sometimes. Nice customer service.

Terribly long wait times for even common items. 35 minutes for sweet potato fries. When I asked for my money back, the "manager" refused and said it was a kitchen problem and I could wait or leave. Awful customer service from the young 20-something staff who treat you like an online profile -- "You're not doing anything for me, Swipe Left." F*orget this place! Never again will I spend my hard-earned money to have myself or my friends treated like we don't matter when we are the ones who support them keeping the lights on and their rent paid. Maybe the other locations are different, but this Preston Center Hopdoddy gives the company a horrible reputation. Other customers around me said they had had similar experiences so not to feel like it was just me. Spend a little more, Hopdoddy, to pay for a real manager who with experience managing a staff of children workers, and you might have a business worthy of your name.

Just YUMMMMMY! A bit pricey but quality is exceptional and service is great! Such unique selections! Love the Kale Caesar instead of fries if ur trying to be "good" ;)

The double bacon jam burger was good, but the Parmesan truffle fries and normal fries were horrible and we couldn't finish them. These were literally the worst fries I've ever had. I only do reviews when something was really great or really horrible and this was unfortunately a horrible experience. We have had these before and they've been great so maybe we just got a bad batch but I won't be coming back to test my luck again.

El Diablo was HOT HOT and wow good!! I've had jalapeño burgers but never a burger with habaneros and jalapeños. WHOOA mama my lips still burn-- but in a good way. Both our burgers were cooked to perfection and drippin good. I've also never eaten an entire burger by myself and I did today. Hubs was laughing at me for eating so much. Fries were so plentiful we had to take them home (he loves fries)!

I love this place, victor is one of my people that greets me when I come through the door. The food is always hot and fresh. What can I say I great place to come vibe at it.

I've eaten a LOT of Ahi Tuna Burgers. This was the best I've had. The Nori Chips added the needed texture element - wish there had been more. ;-) Service is very friendly and quick. However, at these prices, a small side should be included - even if it's more Nori Chips - and definitely needs an upgrade in the napkin category. But for my first trip to any Hopdoddy, I'm impressed!

The truffle fries were good, the tenders were not that good. I probably (definitely) should've gotten a sauce besides buffalo, but they weren't enjoyable. The cashier was very friendly and the overall ambience was nice.

Food was good. A bit small but still good. It was smaller then expected Fountain Drinks are Pepsi products Service was good nice people. Place had a cool vibe to it The Nashville hot chicken sandwich (hot) wasn't spicy.

Wow - the quality of the food here has gone way down hill. So overpriced for what they are serving! I remembered when they first opened that the quality was great. Next I thought maybe I just hit them on a bad day. Now I know that I won't be back. McDonald's would be better and I am not a McDonald's fan. The french fries were hard and cold - inedible. The burger I ordered had no relation to the picture or description on the menu. Patties were thin and hard as a rock - no flavor. It was supposed to be a patty melt but the bread was raw and definitely not grilled as stated. It was supposed to have two kinds of cheese - it did not and the cheese wasn't even melted. Is this place going out of business? How do they charge these prices with that kind of quality. Did I mention that after standing in line to order I waited over 40 minutes? Truly awful.

Service was great, they were able to customize the Kale Caesar salad (which is awesome) into the sidecar size! Food was delivered in a timely fashion at the right temperature and with great taste! They also held our to-go portion under heat until we finished our dine-in meal. The team made us feel welcome and we had an infant with us, which they made sure to interact with whenever they were near our table. Great place for kids and adults to have a good meal and be together!

I love the fact that this is a self seated place. You wait in line, sit anywhere you want, and your food comes out quickly. I would definitely recommend the sweet potato fries-they are delicious! Very family friendly- come here if you want a tasty and quick meal!

Came here on a weekday during the lunch rush and it was jam packed but managed to grab a seat. At this place you get into line and if you're dining in you get assigned a seat number which you hand off when you place your order at the counter, which I thought was a good concept to follow. That way no one's holding seats while someone else is already ahead in the line to place their order. The ambiance is casual and the staff are friendly. I got a seat at a booth which was pretty comfortable. The food takes a little bit of time compared to other places whipping up burgers and fries, but I don't mind especially if everything is made to order including the fries. I ordered the Impossible Cheesesteak, which comes with the Impossible plant based patty served with toppings that include provolone and swiss cheese, peppers, onions, mushrooms, mustard and sauce. The menu also mentioned you can make it vegan where they substitute the sauce and cheese with vegan alternatives. I got it with a side of fries, which I thought lacked seasoning so were very bland and a little bit inconsistent because some were done way over and others were fine. The cheesesteak itself also suffered from the same seasoning deficiency and I'd have appreciated it more if everything had been seasoned separately instead of relying on the salt from the cheese. The Impossible patty itself was cooked to perfection, the cheese melty and the peppers, mushrooms and onions sang in unison. Shows how much a little seasoning can be a difference between a mediocre and wonderful meal.

Awesome experience,great food, and great service. We had the magic shroom burger and the bacon cheeseburger with truffle parm fries. It was good quality food and delicious. We definitely will come back, keep up the good work.

This was the worse burger I've ever had there! We have noticed that the quality of employee's and the food consistency has been falling off and lacking lately, Weird employees, we've had it with this company! Your burger was dry and Over cooked, Hamburger Bun was stale and wired the meal was a failure, the only thing that was done right, was the sweet potato fries! You company is going through too many changes! Bye! Bye! Hoppdotties......

I have tried Hopdoddy twice. The first time, my meat was not cooked all the way through and was pink inside. The meat was so greasy that my bottom bun was completely soggy. I thought perhaps I had just had a random bad experience so decided to try it again. I first ordered a veggie burger (which I typically like from Chili's, Gazeebo Burgers, etc). It was awful. An employee noticed my dislike and offered to replace it with a regular burger. I appreciated that. While this burger was completely cooked, it was still very greasy and the bottom bun was very mushy. So, I do not recommend the burgers, but I give one star for great customer service.

Truffle fries are the best and a must-have if you eat here. Great burgers, too! If you go at lunchtime, plan to wait in line, but they are very efficient, so it moves quickly.

As a local chain the do a good job. Their burgers are quite good. Their Patty Melt filled my belly all by itself. Really a tasty burger. They have numerous offerings to meet most palates. This is a good place. We'll be back again.

Really good signature burgers and fries. That's all I got to say. The burgers are hearty, flavorable, juicy, delicious, and quite the variety of artsy style burgers. We got the El Diablo and Bacon Jam Double with honey and sage sweet potato fries. The El Diablo is hot. I like some heat, but this one had my mouth burning. The bacon jam double was sweet and salty and every bite was delicious. The honey sage fries are good, but very sticky and messy. But definitely would get again over plain fries. :D we will be back

I love this place. Burgers are thick, juicy and delicious! The parmesan truffle fries are LIFE! I always go to the Addison location but I visited this location because it was close to my church on a Sunday evening. Parking is ample; there is a garage if you can't get a spot on the street. I gotta be honest here because we did not have a good experience at this location. So right when I walked in and stood in line, I turn around to the bar area to see a bartender (she had short ombre blond/brown hair) making those delicious nutella milkshakes. However I catch her sticking her index finger in her mouth after some nutella got on her hands (mind you she didn't have any GLOVES ON). After she licked her finger, she proceeded to close the tub of nutella and pouring the milkshake into the cup without washing her hands. I'm watching all this in shock because I was so disgusted. I wanted a milk shake but NOPE, that bartender had to ruin it for me. If you have an open kitchen, we can all see what you do! Another issue occurred when I asked for well done burger and got a medium burger. I was so hungry at that point, I didn't care to take it back however my friend who has cancer ordered the same thing I did and can't eat rare meat. She requested a well done burger specifying that she couldn't eat rare/pink meat. Guess what...they brought her a medium cooked burger and it was all pink so we had to send it back which took an extra 10 minutes to redo. I absolutely love Hopdoddy but the bartender ruined it for me honestly. Service was great as well.

We used to come here occasionally, and I thought it was tasty and would look forward to it. On our most recent visit though we were way turned off. The burgers were just extremely salty. They weren't inedible but they were not pleasant, and I don't want to eat here again. Fries were old and tough.

Always on point. Service is top notch. Sit at the bar if Tyler is there. Burger isn't my favorite but better than average.

Great place for burgers. Food was excellent. The gluten free bun was literally the best I've ever had in 15 years of being gluten free! I'm ok with these fast casual restaurants but $45 for burgers, a split shake and fries is a little much.

This is my favorite Hopdoddy location. Victor at the Preston Center represents phenomenal customer service. If you are in the area, be sure to try the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (I get it extra spicy with pepper jack cheese and bacon added) .
