Hopdoddy Burger Bar

As you can probably already tell, we LOVE Hopdoddy! We visit here often and cannot speak highly enough of the food and the employees. Everyone is always super friendly and eager to get you anything you need. The manger even came over to the table to joke with my husband about all the sauces he was needing and asked if he needed some for the house as well . Tonight I had the Roosevelt which as I have already mentioned is fabulous only taking second place to the Mother nature which sadly is no longer on the menu . Hubby had the garlic Parmesan chicken lollipops and we shared the garlic Parmesan truffle fries with the yummy dipping sauce that you just can't get enough of apparently . As I have mentioned before, if you are in the area, you should definitely give them a try as their flavor combinations are out of this world!

DOUBLE PLAY TO END THE GAME!! I hat a fun joint. Grabbed lunch here with a friend who was in town as it had been a while since I had been here. The service was exceptional and the food was hot and delicious. I ordered a bowl and it was terrific! I chose Brussels sprouts instead of lettuce and it was awesome. The fries though!! OMG!! There are enough to share but be tasteful you may not want to. High marks and kudos to the manager.

We went on a Saturday and even though the place was packed, we still got our food in a timely manner. Everything tasted so good and the manager even stopped by our table to check on us and recommend the gluten free bun to me for next time when she noticed I had ordered the gluten free option of the burger bowl (burger with salad and no bun). I can't wait to come back and try a different burger with the GF bun! Also the sweet potato fries were sooooo good.

It's a fun place for burgers! The staff are friendly and the food come out quick! It's not table service, you'll get in the cue, order and pay for your food and tell them the table number you're at and they come and bring the food to you. I love the choices of burgers but make sure you can take the heat when you order the hot spicy burgers because the peppers are no joke 😋. It was busy when our large group came but luckily we called ahead to see if they had a table available. They don't take reservations but the staff were great to hold one for us when we called ahead for a table for 8!

The service was great but the queso was salty. The sweet potato fries tasted burnt. I had to take that hard piece of cheese mixture of Ingredients off to eat my burger, which tasted like real beef. It was good by itself. The sandwich I had was not worth the price.

Its my first time at hopdoddy! I absolutely love it! The Nashville hot chicken burger was fantastic. The drinks are also great.

Hot honey sweet potato fries, we loved. Chicken sandwich and hamburgers were good. Hadn't been here in years. It was better than most.

I ordered a salad to go. Thinking it will be a healthy meal. Only when I get home and find out that the bottom half is entirely old bread crumbs and fried bits. You can see from the photo that it is not salad at all, and not even real croutons! Don’t order the salad!

-1 star for price vs. value. 104 bucks for 4 burgers, 2 fries (shared amongst 4 people now to be fair these are big damn orders of fries) 1 coke and 3 milkshakes (1 with booze). So again, to be fair and transparent, 3 milkshakes and 1 of those had booze added. But if you take away the 3 milkshakes (@23 bucks) and put 3 fountain drinks back in you're at 90 dollars which is still crazy for burgers fries and drinks. The fries are big orders, we had 2 which was really too much for 4 people. We had chili Queso and truffle. Both were very good and I'd be hard pressed to only choose 1. Burgers are always good here I just be honest, even though they are crazy pricey. Juicy well seasoned patties and generous toppings on the burgers.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hopdoddy in Memphis, Tennessee for the first time, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. I had heard great things about their signature item, the Little Larry's and it did not disappoint. Despite its name, this slushy drink is definitely not a baby drink. It packs a punch and is perfect for adults looking for a refreshing and flavorful beverage. Although I didn't have a chance to try their food during my visit, the atmosphere at Hopdoddy was cool and inviting. The bartenders were incredibly attentive, fun, and engaging, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Their enthusiasm added to the overall positive vibe of the place. I can't wait to go back to Hopdoddy soon and indulge in their mouthwatering burgers and fries. Based on my first impression, I have no doubt that the food will be just as impressive as the drinks and the service. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Memphis, Hopdoddy is definitely worth a visit.

Very tasty burgers - vegetarian included. Very fast service too which is always terrific if the quality stays the same (which it does here). The French fries order, or even the larger sharables portion, is always generous and a must-add to the otherwise solo burger order. We did try the Brussels but found them to be a little too odd... hundreds of sprout leaves that are difficult to spear on a fork when they're basically all fried and oily. Super tasty though, and I certainly appreciated the novelty, but remain 50:50 regarding the odds on whether I'd bother again with the sprouts as a side.

This place is great. I almost always get the double bacon jam burger. I like a good burger but I'm not a giant burger fan. I'm not really a bacon fan. But hot damn, that bacon jam burger is the shit. We're talking amazing. So so delectable. The shareable fries are fun and delicious. This time I got the chocolate shake and added skrewball peanut butter whisky. It was good bot not worth the $9 or $10 or whatever it cost. And the total bill for 4 of us including 3 shakes was over $100. Ouch. Too pricy. Therefore, we only grace this place with our presence about once a year. But it was very very good.

I'm unsure of the recipe they are using for their buns, but I would pay large amounts of money for it!! The service was amazing, we were seated quickly and our food came out just as fast. The vibe was nice very good lighting for pictures and great out side seating. I really suggest going here.

Went to Hopdoddy two times this week. Had good experiences both times. Sunday we decided to dine at the bar and enjoy the half off specials. It was fun at the bar and the place was hopping with business. They run half off happy hour of food and beverages Sunday through Thursday beginning at 3:00 pm and lasting until 6:00 pm. You must sit at the bar. I had the Thunderbird Burger. It was a fresh ground chicken patty topped with pepper jack cheese, steakhouse bacon, seared poblanos, pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce & chipotle aioli sauce. It was quite yummy. Shared a bowl of Parmesan truffle fries. I was full but took advantage of the half off salted caramel milk shake. Took that home to enjoy. This evening I had the Llano poblano burger but opted to have it on top of Brussel sprouts. It was really tasty. Had Truffle fries again. Took half of my food home. The service was spot on even with all the patrons. The place can fit many people and the acoustics slightly reverberates. You have to talk louder to hear each person talk. There are many tables and booths and tables outside. When you walk inside the restaurant, you place your order of food. Then it is brought to your table. The service is fast and efficient! There is a self service water and drink fountain. We had a good time on both occasions. I will return to try other burgers.

Y'all, this is the best restaurant meal I've had since having to go gluten-free and dairy-free! Everyone is so knowledgeable (and so nice) about the cooking practices (shared frier, gluten free options, etc). The burger was SO good and so were the fries -- which are fried in their own frier!! The gluten free bun was so good and it didn't fall apart at all! It was fluffy and flavorful and went perfectly with the burger. I love the pub-vibes. The person working the register was also SO nice and easy to talk to! This will absolutely be a must-stop for us going forward!

Not your run of the mill burger joint, top quality beef, that looks and taste the part, sizzling with juice, grilled to perfection and bursting with flavor, also there are several exotic condiments to enhance your experience, such as goat cheese, arugula and more. Fries could be better but the burgers more than make up for the "slightly above average French fries". Lastly the vibe in the place is always electric and fun, they have a pretty active bar scene so even if you're not in the mood for a burger but just wanting to grab a drink at a hopping bar scene, hop on in to Hop Daddy's.

I forgot that they don't accept cash. The hostess paid for my meal. Vegan burger was great. I was surprised that the sweet potato fries tasted that good.

I went back to Hopdoddy and this time it was FIRE! I got the buffalo fries and they were delicious. The sliders were perfect and the royale burger was perfect. I was very pleased with this visit. The big Larry's were perfect as well! As usual the staff was very nice and helpful and the restaurant was very clean! Definitely a must go back.

Great service and food. They also serve drinks and boozy shakes. I LOVE the nacho fries. Sooo good! This restaurant is clean and the staff attitudes are great. The whole restaurant is a nice lil vibe.

Fun colorful environment! The service was good, Brussels stellar! Doddy melt yummy no complaints! The Plantation Rum Punch was definitely the star lol

My husband and I stopped in on a Wednesday night and the line was out the door. We had to wait about 10 minutes to place our order. When we got to the front of the line, we were asked to wait while she answered the phone and took a Togo order before taking our order. Once she did greet us to take our order, she was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant was really loud as it was a bar atmosphere which made it hard to hear each other when trying to have a conversation. Now to the food.... My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our burgers and the truffle fries were super tasty as well. My husband said the Primetime burger that he had was in the top two of the best burgers he has ever eaten. I had the bacon jam double burger and it was very good as well.

I've been here a couple times now and it's been good both times. First time I had a burger and it was delicious! I saw you can have any burger as a bowl and I'm glad I tried it this last time. I think I prefer a bowl better! It's easier to eat and still plenty of food with the same great taste. We also got the loaded nacho fries. Those exceeded my expectation and I'm already wanting them again. The place is loud, but looks good. It's different than most burger shops that's for sure. Friendly service too.

This Hopdoddy is amazing. From the food to the service and the libations. The manager Tina is such a sweetie and outgoing people person. She and Landon were very accommodating to our large party of 17. They and the young lady that took our orders were so kind and patient with us. They are a 10/10. I will definitely be back again and again.

I visited on a Thursday evening around 430pm, the place was not crowded and I was able to place my order quickly. They have some pretty unique burger choices, but don't worry they still offer a classic burger. I ordered the tomato bacon jam burger, honestly it was just ok. The meat was too salty for me and the tomato bacon jam was blah. The Parmesan fries are good when hot, they came out first which I don't understand that. The burger was out last, neither took long to bring to the table. Like others have said, this is not a sit down "these are our specials for the evening" type place. It is a regular, overpriced burger place and I felt I could get a better burger and fries elsewhere in the city. Perhaps I ordered the wrong burger, but it's not a place I'd normally return to for a burger and fries. As for service it was quick and friendly and I'm glad I didn't experience a long wait time or issues like others have stated in previous reviews.

Reasons to go: - There's SO many burgers to choose from (Prime Rib blend , classic, chicken, ahi tuna , and even bison !) - The food comes out fast. - They have margaritas , house cocktails and beer! - They have several French Fry options - house fries , truffle fries, sweet potato fries . - They have a bar area. - They have patio dining. Reasons that gave me pause : - They don't have a "table bust " staff . The dirty dishes from the prior guests remained on our table the entire visit . - They don't have loitering rules in place . There was a crowd completely finished with dining , just hanging around causing an additional wait for patio dining .

Very poor service, multiple parts of the order wrong. Just accepted most of the mistakes. To "fix" the one we requested, they scraped the wrong ingredients off the burger and sent it right back out.

I never leave reviews, but I am seriously fed up with the service industry in Memphis!! I placed an order with Uber Eats for delivery and ordered a Nashville chicken bowl with no pickles, added and paid for bacon, avocado and blue cheese. I received a bowl of lettuce with pickles! My receipt shows bacon, avocado, blue cheese, no pickles. I'm very irritated that people cannot get very simple tasks right. Tasks that are their actual job that they get paid for! BTW Uber Eats did nothing wrong, this was Hopdoddy all the way!

I did not like the first visit that much but the second visit was much better. Came here on a Saturday afternoon to be with a party of 8. The place was packed but management did a good job trying to put us all at the same table. It did take a while to make it happen. I got to try the Nacho Fries, Nutella Pretzel milkshake, and Double Bacon Jam burger. The Nacho Fries are loaded with taco seasoning, sour cream, queso, and guac but I prefer the sweet potato fries. The milkshake was extremely thick but drinkable through the straw. This was a much better milkshake than last time. The burger was amazing. I will return.

I'm a regular at this restaurant so I'm actually upset that my order was incorrect. I ordered a burger and asked for ground chicken in replace of ground beef because eating red meat/beef makes me really sick. I'll admit I did not check the order because on my receipt, it was correct. like I've stated, I'm a regular at this place and my order is typically correct so I did not feel the need to check the bag. once I bit into my burger, I instantly had a weird reaction with my stomach, but I thought I was bugging so I kept eating my food until I kept getting sharp pains and felt like I was going to throw up, and I noticed the taste was off so I decides ti examined my burger. I noticed that I've been eating beef and that's why I was getting sicker each bite. ground chicken is a lighter color, so that's how I know I was eating something different. I'm very disappointed and that's why I wrote a review. I know it does not matter, but I will not be going back there anytime soon and I'll highly recommend that everyone else makes sure to check your to go order.

First visit. Limited menu. Overly priced for a burger and fries. However, food taste was delicious. Do like that fact you can order shakes and liquor drinks. Cannot rate on service because you order at the front, sit down and once they bring your food you are responsible for your service (condiments, beverages, etc). For the price, I would prefer "service". UPDATE: Manager posted on this review for me to follow up with an email. I did. However, I received NO call, NO response. Please do NOT be fooled that anything was done.

Very happy with my experience. The large beer glasses are like a chalice. Make you feel like royalty! There was a weird dude sitting at the bar next to me that was freaking me out but it's straight. Honey mustard and ranch was fire tbh.

The food is good very good especially those truffle fries, But I lost all of my appetite, There is a lady BREASTFEEDING her child! Oh my goodness people. Respect others around you please!

I went for a late lunch on Tuesday and ordered the Buffalo burger. I was asked, "Would you like a little pink inside or well done?" I said a little pink. When the burger arrived, it was raw in the center. I returned it to the counter and apologized for having to return it. The server said it was not a problem (no apology from her) and another would be out to my table quickly. When it came, it was so overcooked and over salted that it was inedible. I will not be returning. This makes me sad, as it is one of the only places that serves buffalo burgers in Memphis and I prefer them to regular hamburgers.

Great service every time, I wish my burger would be cooked to well down like I requested when I order through the app.

Went in a Sunday mid day. It wasn't crowded but the service was incredibly slow. I am allowing grace right now. We ordered 2 burgers with shared BBQ ranch fries and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The burgers and ranch fries were awesome! The ranch fries had just the right amount of seasoning. They were hot, fresh and delicious! The chicken sandwich didn't come with all the condiments it was supposed to (no special order, they just missed the mark). Half way through the sandwich I realized I was still missing the slaw. Slow service is because of the labor shortage. Inaccurate order is just not paying attention (no grace here). We also had to chase down the bartender to get the cocktail we ordered. Although the food ended up being ok, the service was severely lacking.

I ordered the Doddy Melt. It was perfect as it came out hot and fresh. I also had the Parmesan Truffle Fries which came out in a large bowl. It was more than enough to share with the whole table. I also ordered the Big Larry to drink. I'm not a "Big" drinker so I should have gotten the Lil Larry. It was a strong drink but lived up to the name. Summary: Food was great, service was great. I will be back.

My truffle fries had long pieces of hair in it , I'm really disappointed and grossed out about this !

I've been there a couple times in the past and had very delicious thick burgers, and was expecting that this past visit. I was very disappointed in the quality of the meat and it was over cooked. I was even asked when ordering if I wanted it pink in the middle. My son and I both couldn't eat our burgers. I mentioned it to our server and he said he would send over the manager. The manager simply said well there's nothing we can do the 4 ounce burgers are hard to cook. I've never had the 4 ounce burger on the other burgers I had on previous visits. I got no satisfaction from the manager and my family and I will not be returning learned my lesson. There is no reason to pay that price for that terrible burger. I tried to email you at info@hopdaddy.com but I'm getting bounce back messages that you haven't received my email.

Nice place, decent food. On a Sunday night the place was only half full, the person I was with ordered before me and mine was delivered first, 35 minutes after we ordered. At the 50 minute mark after checking on his order twice and being told it was next still no food. I won't be back.

Very expensive for a burger place. Charged me $4 for a drink and they aren't free refills. We got canned sodas, not even cold, straight out of the box. No cup of ice or anything? Also tired of places trying to add a tip on every meal. Why should we pay a tip for fixing the food? They provide no more service than a Burger King but want a tip. Absurd. Just not impressed with this place and don't plan on coming back. Very overpriced.

Okay so I'm not saying do this HOWEVER it wouldn't be the worst thing you ever did in your life. Get the kids meal! Omg! It's easy perfect lol it's about $7-8 and It comes with a drink and fries. I got a Big Larry with strawberry purée because I'm not a child (duh). The service is phenomenal! I'm only giving it 4 stars because of the WAIT TIME. The lines are long and it takes a minute to wait on burgers and fries. This is more to bring attention to Hopdoddy corporate. Reopen the Midtown Memphis location!

This was a tough review, food was excellent but the wait to order at the counter and then receive our food was absolutely horrible. There seemed to be an absolute lack of organization and communication at this restaurant. What a shame when the food is good! I saw one person come for food pick up and he had to wait almost 20 minutes for a second order to be finished I would hate to have been the person waiting on there food to arrive.

Had to bus our own table, waited twenty minutes in line and twenty five additional minutes for our food. Table was dirty, seats were dirty, drink area was dirty. Regardless of the food, which no one was raving about, we will not be back. This was an inattentive staff with unprofessional people running a subpar establishment. Save your money and time and hit up Freddy's instead.

It was a lovely Saturday night to pick family members up and surprise my daughter at her new job. I am a foodie at heart and finally got a chance to eat here for the 1st time. We all ordered the same burger and also had the sweet potato fries. I never thought that I would be a fan, but the fries were actually good. My only regret was that I should have ordered the double because I ate mine up too fast‍.

Wonderful service went 1/23/24 for besties bday and we haven't stopped talking about it year the margarita was fantastic. Loved the sweet lady at the register.

It's been a minute since I've came to a Hopdoddy location, but it was worth it. The food was amazing! I got the lambada burger (special of the month). I would recommend this if you are a lamb type! It was super juicy and full of flavor from the meat to the toppings. Honestly I have no idea what all came on it but pomegranate, which by the way took the burger to the next level. The lamb was not very gamy either. I also had small fries with their truffle sauce on the side. The sauce was dang good especially if you like truffle flavor. My friend got delicious fully loaded nacho fries and the thunderbird. Overall great food but don't expect a lot of interactions from workers, pretty much didn't exist. 5 stars are for the food. Please note if you are budgeting this place can get a bit pricey. I did utilize the app and got free bacon on my burger .

We used come here often! My spouse and I are vegetarian and haven't loved the black bean burger (too soft, falls apart) so typically we will get salad, grilled cheese, a couple different fries, and a beer. The bill is usually $40+ plus tip (as ex service industry folks we always tip!) When we walked in today and asked, the employee told us it was on the kids menu so it was children only. We have done this before both in person and to-go where you would not be able to verify if a child existed anyway. We even offered to pay more for it (which I realize may not be possible for a register worker to accommodate) but it seems ridiculous to mandate that a child be present when there are few other vegetarian options. We left without patronizing and are not sure we will be back.

The food and service here on our first visit in January was excellent. This time, the french fries came out well before the sandwiches and were over-cooked, hard - not near as good as before. Sent my burger back as they failed to put the bacon on it. Almost every table sent their order back with a complaint. Cashier was great and service fine but food not up to par. Shake was more milk than ice-cream. Appeared to have the staff but said they were short handed? Overall big disappointment for over $70 cost.

The overpriced COVID-19 dining experience It is in a prime location with plenty of parking, indoor and patio seating available, social distancing enforced, curbside pickup, and contactless payment (no cash pay period). Upon entry we were greeted by a hostess, who assigned us a booth number, informed us on their COVID restaurant protocol, and answered any questions about their menu. We ordered two Impossible Burgers with no cheese or mayo and toppings(lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mustard) on the side, a side of sweet potato and regular fries, with a Cherry Pepsi, and Southern Pecan Coffee Stout Beer. The cashier read our order to confirm before she submitted it. The total came to $50.00 and some change. I know Right, What the........! It is a really cool ambiance with several tvs. to watch sports, friendly staff, but it felt like forever to get our food. Don't come here starving or pressed for time. 20 mins. later our order came out but they added cheese and put the ketchup packets on top of the regular fries. Who does that? And the fries were not that good. Sent it back. In the meantime we enjoyed the sweet potato fries, Cherry Pepsi, and beer. Another 20 mins later we finally got out meal. It was good but not worth the 40+ min. wait. It served its purpose we got full, was able to charge our phones at the bar, and enjoyed the NFL game. If I am ever in the area and decide to eat here again I will probably play it safe and order sweet potato fries or salad and a bottled water.

I'll come back for the awesome burgers and fries. Highly recommended. But, if you're craving a good milkshake it's not here. Not even close, if I were to describe my overpriced chocolate shake, I would say it was "warm, no brain freeze possible". Maybe that's what they are going for, Safe Shakes, "no more brain damage". Wish they'd go out on a limb and make real Milkshakes.

Full disclosure...i found this review in my drafts from 9 months ago. The place was pretty hopping when we arrived. It didn't seem to take long to get out for. The burgers were decent but one was missing items and the other was overcooked. It took a while for one correction. We didn't ask for both. The tables were a bit sticky and grimy.

Came here on my bday, the burger was huge and really great so we're the fries and the vibe was cool too

This is a other favorite restaurant of mine. I love the atmosphere. Having a window seat is usually my go to. On this trip I ordered a burger bowl that included a Classic Burger and Brussel sprouts. The brussels were almost a little too crisp, but overall I enjoyed my meal. I also had a Big Larry Margarita. I'll definitely return and order again.

The food was outstanding. The service...not so much. Assigned us a table someone else was sitting at. We sat at a different table and the servers didn't know where to bring our food. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a Carmel Sunday. Drinks come from the bar and the bar tender didn't know where to bring them. So...she didn't ask. After we ate our meal we had to go ask about our drinks. No apology, just her excuse. That spoiled the ambiance of my experience. I'll never back and make Sue I sit in my assigned seating whether it's where I want to sit or not.

This place has some of the best hamburgers that I have ever had in my life! I highly recommend the Magic Shroom Burger. Also, don't forget to try the Parmesan Truffle Fries!

Good burgers and a decent place to hang out while in Memphis. I have been there a couple of times.
