Very nice place with outdoor seating. We had to wait for like 20mns to get an outdoor seating but worth the wait. Very good service the food came quite quickly. I had the tuna and egg salad and the Schultzkrafpen (type of pasta with spinach and ricotta without the sauce) and hubby ate the pork ribs which as you can see from the photo devoured them saying they were a delicatessen. Very fairly priced around €20 per person.

We had the goulash stew with dumplings and a dessert after, and everything was seriously delicious. The meat was super tender, the sauce was full of flavor, and the dumplings were perfect with it. Just really comforting, tasty food. Dessert hit the spot too — no complaints at all. If you’re in Bolzano and want something hearty and homemade-feeling, this place is definitely worth it. I’m already missing the goulash 😭

Great place to stop for lunch near the Bolzano fresh fruits and flowers market. The knodel was pretty delicious. But the best is the craft beer house brewed. Super smooth and refreshing on a hot summer day. It might be a little crowded but just get a stray menu, find an empty seat and call for a waiter and order. They are busy but it’s worth the wait. Even if you are not hungry or don’t feel like eating, at least try the beer

Was there during the weekend for a lunch. Nice atmosphere, dinning outside, waitresses organized and friendly. We didn’t wait for so long for the service. Food was delicious. I ordered a bistecca di lombata di vitello - local veal loin steak with chanterelle sauce, potatoes and green beans with bacon; cabbage salad and the sin after - Topfenknödel. Everything was excellent, meet was melting in the mouth basically. Dessert delicious. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Big plus as they work during all the day and they don’t close from 15-18h, as we arrived around 15:30h for a lunch, which is late for the Italian standards 😅 Excellent quality price ratio. We are looking forward to coming back to this restaurant in the future.

Normal restaurant, with a slow service, main dishes arrived 15 min apart. Quality of food was fine. But the beer was really good, a Weizen beer.

This is a very nice restaurant. The food is quite good, with some very good prices (as an example we payed 12€ for the spare ribs). The location is also excellent, so if you’re hungry and you’re looking for something nice & not very expensive, then this is the place for you. They also have an excellent artisan beer. Overall a place to try.

Sadly we didn't enjoy our dinner at this place. Our food was pretty average. The pork knuckle was good, unfortunately the rest of our dinner was mediocre at best. The sausage, potatoes and saurkraut dish arrived cold and undercooked. The service was friendly.

Lovely place. I sat outside, took a delicious cold Wheat Beer, and ordered first the Spagghetti aglio olio pepperoncino, then the Groestl. Delicious! Cozy place, lovely people.

Yelp
Came here for lunch because it was a brewery. It was pretty crowded and had to put our name on the wait list, but were seated soon after ordering a beer at the bar. All 4 beers (Helles, Dunkel, Weizn, and Winter seasonal) were great. Started with a platter of thinly sliced speck (yum) and then hubby dove into a crispy-skinned pork shank and I dove into a goulash with local speck canederli (basically beer & bacon-infused dumplings). The dumplings were flavorful and perfect for sopping up the saucy goulash. I loved that this venue started out as a tavern, then a café, and finally a tavern again. Beer stills are behind the bar, and a number of cozy dining rooms connected off the bar create the perfect intro to South Tyrolean quaff & cuisine!

Yelp
Great little German brewery in Bolzano. We had the Weissen and the Special dark Weissen for beer and a cheese plate and pretzel. Nice place for a cold beer.

Yelp
Great place for beer. Definitely dog friendly. Outside dining is a major plus! Early evening it can get crowded....

Yelp
Amazing spot in central Bolzano. They brew wonderful beer and the bar area is utterly packed on a Saturday night. The service was lovely and they helped us through in English which we really appreciated. They had some vegetarian options and we opted for the Knodel which were a type of buttery spinach dumpling which they served with the most delicious sauerkraut i've ever had. I would definitely recommend the spot for the jovial atmosphere, lovey vegetarian options and friendly service. Oh! And off course the fantastic beer

Yelp
I really enjoyed having lunch and a few beers here. The location is great as it's located right near the markets and has indoor and outdoor seating. Prices were fair, service was friendly and the beers really went down a treat!

Yelp
Hopfen & Co. is a very cosy place with small rooms. They are furnished in an old Tyrolian style, where the walls are covered with dark wood. In the bar area you can see brewing utilities made of copper. They serve their homebrewed beer, which is very tasty and the danger is big to 'try' to many glasses of this nice liquid. I cannot judge the food because I have never eaten there. However, the atmosphere is really welcoming. The place does not get five stars based on the fact that they exploit their good reputation and charge their customers higher prices as normal.
