Highly recommended breakfast and lunch place in Tamworth. The atmosphere, food, service...everything is good everything. Freshest food and bread. My favorite are chips, gluten free pumpkin bread made in the cafe and hashbrowns. Ice lattes are unbeatable. For all travelers passing through town there is summer splash pad for kids next to the cafe. The kids have a ball there. The open air gym adds to the fun. I keep coming back for more.

The food was sensational yet the service managed to top it. My partner and I were traveling through with our 10 week old baby and stopped in for breakfast. The staff were very accommodating of us with our big pram, and the young guy who served us was super personable and professional. My partner ordered an iced coffee and while trying to breastfeed knocked the entire drink over. The young guy was incredibly helpful cleaning it up and they made another ice coffee when we would have been too embarrassed to even ask. And then the food came out (French toast and Turkish eggs) and it was incredible. Delicious and cheap, the same orders would have cost significantly more in Newcastle where we were traveling from. Overall an amazing experience. Will definitely be returning when we are next in Tamworth.

Dog friendly and lovely park setting - accepting that the fountains are a bit noisy. Lovely attentive young staff, good coffee. The only let down was the food. 'Truffle bruschetta' with no hint of truffles, (I think they think truffle means mushrooms) - thick soggy bread topped with mushroom and hard poached eggs, completely flavourless and absolutely sodden - just yuk. Savoury mince, minus the savoury - mince with some frozen cubed veggies tossed in, also served on completely soggy thick toast. We actually left without eating 90% of our food, it was that bad. Such a shame, has everything else going for it - just needs a new cook.

A lovely discovery for me as I was working in Tamworth. Great location, good parking, nice atmosphere, tasty food and great service … what more could you ask for? Oh yeah, family / kid friendly with playground and outside eating area. Well played Hopscotch, well played!

My wife and I are in Tamworth for our first country music festival here. We're staying at the Edward Parry Motel, and the owners ( Michael and Lisa) recommended the Hopscotch Restaurant and Bar to us. I have to say we're very happy that they did. Situated in a park by the river, adjacent to the centre of town, and in the middle of a recreation park including a small water feature, this is a happy, relaxing place to be. The staff are very friendly, the menu is very comprehensive, and the chefs are creating wonders. We've been here three days so far, this is the second time we've had brunch at Hopscotch, we've had four different dishes and they've all been conversation killers, except for the occasional "Oh wow" and " I'm so full but I can't stop eating". We're seriously impressed. We have another three days here and Hopscotch will feature. So far we've had; Poke Bowl with chicken, Scrambled eggs on toast with bacon, Avocado toast ( which includes poached egg & other yummy stuff) Eggs Benny with bacon on croissant.( with hollandaise to die for). Let's not forget the mango frappes we've been having as well..... just the thing on a hot day. Everything has been beautifully presented (the restaurant and the meals), and the flavours superb. I visited here for breakfast with my children for the first time today. The food was very good and the restaurant was laid out so that we didn't feel claustrophobic. Chairs were comfy too. My only negative is that the temperature outside was 33 degrees yet they had opened up the windows instead of turning on the air conditioning. As a result it was uncomfortably hot inside and we all sweated through our breakfast.

Had a lovely breakfast with friends . Lovely setting , great staff , a nearby playground and splash park, lots of shade , food was good . Serving sizes generous without being too big . Coffee was well made Did not have to wait long.

Food was great, Coffee 8/10 but i prefer stronger full bodied coffee, the wife loved the coffee because she likes it milky and creamy.
