Although it is not located in a convenient place, it is still an attractive place for many people due to the density of shops inside the building; for instance, fashion outlet, furniture stores, cafe with a magnificent sea view, and also perhaps one of the most pet-friendly cafes and pet stores in Hong Kong. The toilets inside are also quite clean, which is a huge plus!

Very good for shopping. Great value of designer brand. Modern Chinese style Shanghai Tang outlet price.

🚆MTR Station: South Horizons The Bldg is kind of old and is in an isolated area wherein you have to walk all the way from the MTR South Horizons station which was about 10-15 mins away. If you’re commuting there, better to take bus so it stops right in front of the bldg. There are taxis queuing outside - you could get one after shopping. Some shops didn’t have tons of options as the shops are quite small. The place is pet friendly - you can bring them to 10th floor Pet Shop.

Quite a massive warehouse for major brand outlets! Good way to kill the time if you are sending the cars for repair/maintenance.

Horizon Plaza was such a great place to find everything I needed for my new house! It has diverse furniture and interior items. I could find both modern antique style stuffs ranging from very affordable price to ultra expensive ones. It was simply eye opening experience. If you are getting married or moving to a new place or simply want to get new inspiration for your home, just visit here.

Most awful place I have shopped. So many spaces where there is no shop. Came away having purchased nothing. Designer clothing stores include Loewe, Sandro, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs. The cheapest item is £70 and everything else is £200 or more. Won't be back.

Dated and old fashion...like a crime à crime scène. Not many attractive brands and price not much different from most retail sales

Yelp
So if you are a committed outlet shopper, this is really the only spot I have found to find authentic high end brands at any discount in Hong Kong. I came out this way a few years ago, a few weeks ago and now just yesterday (in pursuit of after X-mas sales). Horizon Plaza (where the all the main shopping is) is one 30 story building. It is kind of located on the tip of Ap Lei Chau and feels like a barron spot, full of warehouses. Each floor has different stores. There are many floors and stores that are entirely dedicated to furniture and home decor. I concentrate on clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, which then eliminates many floors. I now really seek out the brands and stores I personally love and skip all the rest. If you go, here are a few tips that I wish I knew when I first went: 1) Take the elevator up to the top floor and work your way down. The elevators (they are relatively small, they are always packed and can be slow) are a great way to get to the top, start there and work you way down...by the stairs. Take the elevators if you must, but it is a juggernaut that is going to slow you down. 2) There are two stairwells. One stairwell has men's and then ladies restrooms on every other floor right there on the landing of the stairwell. The other stairwell has a handicap restroom on every floor. 3) It helps if you know your brands and their pricing. It helps to know what kind of deal you are getting and the stuff that is not such a great deal. For example, there is a Lane Crawford Outlet that occupies the entire 25th floor. The $30,000HKD Channel coat at Lane Crawford outlet is then marked down to $12,000HKD. So again, know your brands and their pricing. This might seem like a deal to many, but others might not ever imagine spending that much for a coat, regardless of who made it. So I repeat, you simply have to understand the vast array of brands sold in Horizon Plaza and look for those you know and like. 4) There are several stores that sell multiple brands under one roof. For example, the Imaginex Outlet is one store that sells BCBGMaxazria, Donna Karen, Tumi, and others in the same store. So if you are looking for one brand that does not have their own self standing store in Horizon Plaza, that does not necessarily mean the brand is not sold at Horizon Plaza. Another example, I personally love and wear Vivienne Westwood. There is not a Vivienne Westwood self standing store, but rather her stuff is sold at the Moda Mia Outlet store on floor 27. 5) There are limited options for food and drink. So go having had a meal or a good breakfast. You have to wander down the street to Harbour Industrial Center for something to eat if you are famished. Although it totally looks like a residential building and a warehouse in many ways, there are two cafes inside. One is Artichoke Canteen and can be found on Yelp (3rd Floor). 6) The PRADA outlet is not in Horizon Plaza and not walkable. You would have to hop in a cab to Marina Square maybe 7 minutes away, but still on Ap Lei Chau. 7) I think this trip after Christmas, I saw the biggest discounts. All Vivienne Westwood clothes, shoes and bags at Moda Mia were 90% off. I think this is a holiday thing though, for standard at most outlets is more like 30-50% off regular retail prices during a normal visit not associated with a holiday. 8) We take a cab out here from the Sheung Wan area where we live. The cab costs about $100HKD and is the easiest way to get there. I takes maybe 15 minutes. There is extensive construction on Ap Lei Chau buidling their MTR stop, but that is some time out before that opens (maybe late 2016, or 2017). There is also a shuttle bus option, but I have not taken that, so I cannot speak to it. There is also a big parking garage.

Yelp
YAAAAAAAS. I've only been living in HK for 1.5 months and I've already been here 3 times, haha. What initially brought me out to Horizon Plaza were the furniture and baby stores. Each visit we've been able to find good deals, whether it's on a stroller or a wardrobe. There are so many furniture shops to visit, each with their own distinct styles. You'll definitely get a lot of design inspiration, and the fact that the prices are good and the selection is vast (lots of retail space since you're in a warehouse in the middle of Ap Lei Chau) you'll most likely be tempted to get that pocketbook out. I've been pleased with what I've found clothing-wise. I always found Hong Kong style superior to Singapore's (sorry not sorry) and I'm excited that I now have better retail choices with good pricing. In addition to the high-end stores like MaxMara, Ferragamo, Shanghai Tang, and Chloe, they also have other smaller stores that carry a mix of designers and styles from everywhere. Food options are still scarce, but they seem to have slightly improved since all the guides and blogs have been posted. (I noticed there isn't a lot of updated information on Horizon Plaza in the past year or so.) Not only do you have the cafe at Tree (28th floor) and a Pacific Coffee outlet within Tequlia Kola (1st floor) there's also Coffee Plus on the 10th floor that serves all-day breakfast. I also noticed that one of the liquor stores also served a limited selection of sandwiches (can't remember which one, though.) To me, coming here is worth the cab ride out (it's about $100HK one way from Mid-levels) if you're looking for great quality at lower prices.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this place. They definitely have a good choice of decor/furniture outlets. Not many clothing choices. But they do have the likes of juicy couture, Lane Crawford, Hugo boss, and Ralph Lauren. The clothing stores are small and choices are limited. Yes, you can get huge discounts! Considering the original prices, a dress for $3,000 hkd may be considered a bargain. (Not for me though . Lol) There are not many people so that's refreshing! But can be intimidating when you're the only person in the whole store while the sales lady follows you. The easiest way to get there is taking 90b from the admiralty bus terminus from central. Then take the free shuttle. The shuttle is a white minibus so it's not easy to spot if you're looking for a sign on the side of the bus or something. Also, I came on a Monday... Some shops were closed on Monday. Anyway, at the end of the day, it wasn't worth the trip for me! But, If you're up for an adventure, it's worth the try.

Yelp
Horizon Plaza is an outlet mall in HK that not many people know about. It's way out on the far end of Ap Lei Chau, near the South Horizons residences, so it's kind of a strange place to house a mall. The place isn't very public transportation-accessible either - only two buses go there directly. I guess it being so out of the way is a good thing, because Horizon Plaza never gets crowded so that's very refreshing when you're used to being crushed by the Causeway Bay and TST crowds! Horizon Plaza is mostly a place for furniture/home decoration, and for branded clothes/shoes/accessories shopping. If you're looking to furnish your new apartment, you can pretty much spend a whole day here! There is a HUGE Tequila Kola and Tree, and they have others like Indigo and Franc Franc too. Since it's an outlet, most things are quite massively discounted. I've bought some gifts for friends at Horizon Plaza (check out one called 'Ovo' - the shop sells a lot of things that would make great gifts) like picture frames and candle holders. They look like they cost a fortune but they really didn't! As for clothes/shoes/accessories shopping, I haven't bought much at Horizon Plaza as nothing's really caught my eye the few times I've been there. Also, I find that the discounts on these aren't as big as in furniture or home decoration stores. One thing I don't really like about Horizon Plaza is that there aren't really restaurants or cafés for you to sit down at and have a drink in between your shopping. There's Sift, Pacific Coffee and a cafe at Tree, but that's about it, so I don't suggest that you go to Horizon Plaza on an empty stomach hoping to eat when you're there, because you won't be able to find anything substantial! Also, getting around in Horizon Plaza takes some getting used to because there are no escalators, only cargo and passenger lifts that don't stop at every floor. Remember to get a mall directory on the ground floor before heading up!
