Beautiful spot. The walk from Watson bay to the lighthouse is nice with paved trail most all the way. However beware of nude folks (there is an area somewhere close to this where nude is legal), specially old man stark naked and masturbating. I got the shock of my life when I realized I was looking down from where I was seated to an old man fondling himself.

Worth to travel. It will be on 20 minutes walk from the Watsons bay. You have to take the ferry from circular quey to the Watsons bay. The short 20 minutes walk will give you the small trekking experience. Great natural beauty with pleasant environment will make you a happy.

A beautiful place to visit, with stunning view of Sydney bay, the ocean and Sydney skyline. It is a easy walk, a 20-minute well paved trail, and it worth the visit. Beware of strong winds.

Hornby Lighthouse is a beautiful and historic spot located near Watsons Bay, right at the entrance of Sydney Harbour. The red and white striped lighthouse is very charming and makes a perfect photo location. The walking track to the lighthouse is easy and family-friendly, offering scenic views of the coastline along the way. From the top, you can enjoy amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, Sydney Harbour, and even the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the distance. The area is peaceful, and it feels like a hidden gem away from the busy city. Hornby Lighthouse is not only a great place for sightseeing and photography but also a wonderful spot to enjoy the fresh sea air and Sydney’s coastal beauty.”

Very nice walk up to see hornby lighthouse. Pretty views. Relaxing and free activity. Wasn’t too busy. Watson bay is my favourite place in Sydney so far

Less than 3 hour activity. From Darling Harbour, take a scenic ferry ride to Watsons Bay, and begin your walk along the ocean cliffs. You'll arrive at Sydney Harbour National Park, Hornsby Lighthouse. As you approach the lighthouse, the trail offers breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour, the Pacific Ocean, and even many photo opportunities of the Sydney skyline in the distance. Built in 1858, Hornsby Lighthouse holds a special place in Australian history. Its construction was prompted by the tragic sinking of the Dunbar in 1857, a maritime disaster that highlighted the need for improved navigational aids around Sydney's rugged coastlines. Painted in distinctive red and white stripes. Perfect short activity from Darling Harbour.

Went on a warm sunny day. Nice little walk to the lighthouse from Lady Bay Beach. Great views on the cliff side across the bay and below.

It sure is pretty here, but I wouldn't call this the prettiest in Sydney. This lighthouse is located in Watsons Bay. The park area that hosts the lighthouse is abundant with walking trails that are well maintained, as is the standard for Sydney parks. They are loaded with signage about the history of the park too. Some parts are currently closed for construction, so be on the lookout for those. Still, I'd say to check it out for views of the harbour on the left and the vast Pacific on the right.

Watsons Bay definitely qualifies as one of the most stunning places in Sydney. From the end of the peninsula you have the harbor and the beautiful city skyline to the left. And to the right, you've got the overwhelming vastness of the Pacific Ocean, with no land in sight. Right at the end of Watsons Bay is the Hornby Lighthouse, one of the first to be constructed in all of Australia. To get here, I recommend taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay wharf. It's about a 20-minute ride through the harbor (around $5 one-way). Once the boat docks at the wharf, it's only about a 15-minute walk to get up to the lighthouse. First, you have to get to Camp Cove beach. On the right end of the beach, there is a path that hugs the cliffs all the way to the lighthouse. It's a very picturesque walk up hill to the end of the bay, where panoramic vistas mark the end of the continent. Warning: the Lady Bay Beach is right along the path you may run into some nudists along the way to the lighthouse.
