Limited vegetarian options, but the service was great. The crab quesadillas were absolutely delicious—definitely a highlight.

We stopped by Horn’s Gaslight Bar & Restaurant during our trip to Mackinac Island, and it was a great experience! My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken fajita wrap and the chicken nachos, and both dishes were really tasty. The fajita wrap was flavorful and well-seasoned, and the nachos were loaded, perfect for sharing! The atmosphere of the place was lively and fun, with a cozy, welcoming vibe that made it a great spot to relax after exploring the island. The service was friendly! Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re on the island and looking for a good bite!

Hotwings were bomb, sliders were excellent. The mango tango drink was very good as well. Service was phenomenal. Prices are affordable for being on an island.

Very good food and service. The French dip was really good. The chicken fajita wrap was amazing. My picky son loved the sliders with added cheese. Our server made sure our plates were correct and noticed a missing cookie. Our son was so excited to get Oreo cookies!

Amazing place! Staff is wonderful and having a place on the island with love music is a bonus. The Electric Flower Co. played 2 nights when we were there and it was a blast.

I love this place. It has been a staple for so many visits. The islander bean dip - so good. The staff is so good even when nuts to butts crammed. We had the sweetest young waitress who went above and beyond for a group of women!! Love it - in fact everyone wanted to eat here the whole time

It was a pretty cool atmosphere inside the place, and there were cool music events going on in the evening. The wet taco my fiance got was a typical regular tasting taco, nothing bad, but nothing too amazing. The shrimp salad I got was subpar- only 4 shrimp, the salad leaves were not great, and the cilantro lime dressing was overly sweet.

SHOUTOUT TO HALIE!!! She was wonderful! Unfortunately, we watched several people walk in and back out after having to wait for the bartender, Shawn, to get behind the bar. Evidently, the girls cannot go behind the bar and get the drinks. So, the place is losing money because customers don’t want to wait. We waited probably 10 minutes for our beverages. Halie was amazing and kept apologizing. It was not her fault. Even the other ladies apologized and said they were sorry they couldn’t do anything. The bartender, Shawn, finally came out and we received our drinks. As we waited for a taxi, my husband ordered one more beer. Halie, once again, had to wait for Shawn…who was down at the other end cutting lemons. My husband asked for his beer and he got pretty rude with us. Granted my husband was frustrated, but he wasn’t yelling. Overall, I feel bad for the establishment and the ladies who have to work with Shawn. They were wonderful, but he is causing the establishment to lose money. Thank you Halie and all the other ladies!

Right in the middle of the downtown. Park your bike and you are in for a good time. Fun place to eat! Lots of Mexican food on the menu but other options as well. Band started at 930p. Inside is welcoming. Wait staff were friendly. Very wild at midnight on a Saturday night. Margarita was delicious. White bean chicken and chili was good but a bit small for the portion. Southwesterner egg rolls had a good crunch and yummy filling with sauce.

I'll rate this five stars because it's one of the only restaurants on the island with a vegan option that isn't piecing sides together or a salad. A little bit of effort goes a long way, so I was grateful that they had a Beyond Burger on the menu. It was cooked well and I got a salad instead of fries. Next time I look forward to trying a burrito!

Subpar bar food. My wings were ordinary and were not crispy. The sauce was good. I wouldn't get them again. My wife got the nachos and she said they were also below average. Her mixed drink wasn't good. Service was average. However, this was one of the funnest bars on the island with the live music and lively customers. Plus, the live music will have you and others dancing in the floor. Inexpensive drinks overall. Would definitely come back for the atmosphere

Nataliya our server definitely gets 5 out of 5 stars!!! She was very attentive and super sweet! Food meh.. It was bar food. My husband enjoyed the potato skins. I give them a 3 out of 5. Also, drinks were good. I noticed they have a "red rita" so I requested the blood orange puree in my vodka drink. Pretty refreshing! They should definitely implement that blood red orange into more drinks. This was a pretty crowded bar! A lot of seating as well but I'd recommend coming back around 3pm instead because so many people are rushing for the first restaurant they see.

We stopped in for lunch while visiting the island for the day. We put our name on the list and asked for a booth. Then they directed us to wait outside, which was weird. There weren't a bunch of people waiting and literally took 2 minutes for them to seat us. Hmmmm Hubby really wanted something a little more substantial and tried ordering off the dinner menu, but it was a no go. We were told we'd have to wait two hours if he wanted something off the dinner menu. He ended up just getting the nachos as an appetizer. Which he loved. The food was great. We ordered the SW egg rolls that came out pretty quickly. I had the Apple Walnut Salad...it was fabulous. Mom ordered a French dip and really liked it. We would definitely eat here again.

First time here happened to walk by and see the menu outside. Walked in and immediately assisted by hosts and sat down with menus, very nice for that. They got our drinks quick (waters). Gave us time to see the menu we ordered. I Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with chips as side and it was delicious! Superb flavors wasn't expecting that. The whole restaurant is very clean as well. The ladies servers are very attentive to customers. So good job for that. The bread for my food very soft tasted fresh. Didn't get a chance to get a drink but the drink menu looked great as well.

The quesadilla is pretty good. The first bite is really really good, but bc it has so much cream cheese the 3rd piece became a lot. The drinks are really good and our server was great!

Me and my husband didn't care for the food. We are used to really good Mexican food and this was very subpar and Tex-Mex. Service was ok and the ambiance was nice but nothing to write home about. If we ever come back to the Island we will not be dining here.

Super small portions for the price. The food was just ok, not anything special. Everything just tasted fine, and for the price, I expected better than fine. The only truly good thing I had was the mango margarita. So maybe go here for drinks and skip the food. Service was also pretty mediocre, our waitress disappeared for about 15-20 minutes after she brought us our food and didn't do any refills or anything. I can understand if she needed a break but maybe she could have had someone else fill in for her?

Service was great and nice atmosphere. We split a full order of chicken nachos and it was a hearty meal for two! Tasty was great and hit the spot! Drinks were constantly filled and overall experience was good! Would recommend!

Good food, good service but it's tourist trap pricing $$$$$. But at least they do serve you when the grand nightmare on that island are the greatest rip off con artists around!!! Avoid grand nightmare!!!

Not great but quick and easy. Food was bland but service was prompt and friendly. If you are looking for the easy button this would be a viable spot for you.

We ate here tonight and it was pretty good. Service was great and friendly. The restauraunt is pretty big inside, though quite noisy. We had the guacomole and chips, the shrimp burrito and the shrimp fajitas. All were pretty good tasting but seemed like they were prepared quickly. I would give a 3.5 star rating, as the service was expedient.

Cool old place to go to on the island for basic bar food or drinks. We were here later after the ferries stopped running because we were spending the night. They had live music and it was picking up with some of the local workers coming in after making fudge and whatever else they do. Saw the main fudge maker from Murdicks, who I also saw on Fox 2 news. Service was awesome as it is just about everywhere on the island. The food, which we had nachos was just ok. A great stop on MI.

I had a very uncomfortable experience with the manager. I didn't care for the tacos due to lack of flavor. After 2 bites, I begrudgingly sent it back and the server put in a new order for something different. The manager then proceeded to immediately come to my table and tell me I was not able to change my order and was only allowed to change the type of meat I had on my taco. Confused, I explained why I didn't care for the tacos, and she responded by saying I must just not like tacos then and maybe I shouldn't have ordered them in the first place. My server then apologized for the managers interaction afterward with me and gave me the meal I requested (much better than the tacos). I'm happy to speak further with anyone who wants to follow up.

Our waitress here was very nice but the food wasn't that great for me. I had the three mini burgers and fries. The fries tasted like bag fries that you get from Walmart and have no seasoning at all. My burgers were pretty good though. I liked the old beer mugs that are behind glass on the wall. It was pretty neat seeing all of the different ones they had. It's a decent place.

Place was super busy when we came. We had a baby that was sleeping in the stroller and they had a sign up that said no strollers. The lady at the front was super nice about it and said just wait out front and I will work something out. She was able to get us a table that we could park the stroller at and be out of the way. The food was great. And the place was cool. If you like people watching this is great because the carriage tours board right in front of it.

We went there for dinner. And the food was very disappointing. My flautas looked like egg rolls, they were supposed to have chicken and beens in it, and there was no chicken and a smear of beans and all tortilla pretty much. So don't get that. My friend's chicken for fajitas had a weird taste and texture and the rice that came with it, was cold hard and tasteless. They can make good drinks. The service was not great either. Kind of rude. I would %100 never recommend this place unfortunately. Maybe lunch is better. But the dinner was not.

This was one of the only places open past 9pm on the island and since we had already been to one of the others on our visit, we stopped in here. They had live music the night we were there which honestly have this 4 stars instead of 3. Food was okay. Nothing special. I had the spinach quesadilla. The menu was huge and nothing really stood out. My friend liked his tacos. Margs were really good. Would definitely get those again. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I'd come back here for drinks and to hang out but would go elsewhere for food if given the option.

Fun bar, live band. But the real magic was Lani, our extraordinary server like no other. Hands down the absolute best service on the Island. If had a need or want, she already knew and would magically appear. Many thanks to Lani and Horns for a very memorable night.

We visited Horn's Gaslight Bar and Restaurant on 8/18/24. It was a nice place. The person seating all of the guests never smiled once and looked so grumpy. Our waiter acted like he was still drunk from the night before. My son didn't like the soda they gave him and asked for something different and the manager rolled her eyes when the waiter told her what he was doing. The food was good but we will not be going back there again.

We had a party of 9 and were seated quickly. The service was really good. The waitress was very helpful and answered our questions. We ordered the nachos supreme with pulled pork for an appetizer. The pulled pork was dry, and the nachos were very underwhelming. I had the fajita burrito, which was pretty good. It came with rice ( that was hard and no flavor) and beans that looked and tasted like they had been sitting around awhile. Some of the other meals were just ok. If you're on the island I would look elsewhere to spend your money.

We come here all the time for drinks and to dance to live music. Food is the usual bar stuff. I'm giving one star because of the owners behavior last night. She was extremely rude to patrons. Yelling at a group standing at the bar to move and physically pushing them. I saw another woman trying to walk by as the owner is standing in the walk through talking to a table. She proceeded to call the woman a F'in B. Unacceptable behavior...blew my mind watching this go on. I should have taken videos

Slow and unhelpful, for the price of the food it should at least be okay it wasn't I will not be coming back workers eating behind bar in front of customers unprofessional

Went to the Horn's bar late afternoon on Saturday. Overall had a pretty poor experience. Food: Horrible tasting food with dismal quality. We ordered a couple of quesadillas which were dry, and poorly cooked. To top it all, my rice came with pieces of plastic bottle in it. When I showed it to the server they shrugged and took the plate away in a very nonchalant manner (seems like this kinda thing happens one too many times here!) Service: generally poor service. The server (Jillian) forgot our sides, forgot our drink order. Had to be reminded a couple times to bring us some water. Didn't seem too bothered when I found plastic pieces in my food. Ambience: the place feels a bit loud. Definitely feels overpriced for the ambience and quality of facilities. Bar: decent bar with a good assortment of drinks. Probably the only saving grace for this place Don't waste your money here. There's other, much better places close by. Try the Great Turtle brewery a block away!

My mom and I closed out the bar when they had live music on a Saturday. If you're looking for a fun, lively bar on Mackinac Island, this is it. The whole bar was on the dance floor having an great time and dancing to the live music. Our waitress was super nice and recommended the prickly pear margarita. I took her recommendation and omg she was right; it was delicious! This is THE BAR to go to for a great time on the island.

We only had a few hours on the island and looked before we arrived at the various food options. We chose Horn's because they had a spinach and crab quesadilla that sounded delicious. We ordered onions rings which were over cooked and seemed to come from a frozen bag. The burger was decent but the quesadilla lacked crab and for the price, was a real disappointment. I ordered a beer and halfway through my meal ordered a second. It sat on the bar waiting on the server so long that we finally went up and got it ourselves. The service wasn't great to say the least. If we return we would likely go elsewhere.

We weren't sure where to go on the Island for food so we decided to try this as a safe bet. We ordered the southwest egg rolls, the crab & spinach artichoke bake and the Frisco. The egg rolls being the most standout of the 3. We went at an awkward time (between lunch and dinner) so not super busy. Our waiter was nice. Service was very slow for it not being so busy.. It's your typical bar food: burgers, filling appetizers, salads/soups except it's a tad pricey..what can you expect? It's on the island..most places are priced higher.

We started with egg rolls, they were mediocre at best and cost $15 for two full egg rolls split in half, so a half is about $3.75. I ordered the French dip which was bland, used canned mushrooms, had 1 slice of cheese split over a hogie roll for $17. Oh and the side is chips or you can upgrade to a small handful of fries for $5 more. Mind you there is no dip for the chips. The wrap at Applebees is better than what we got. The only reason we gave a two star instead of a one, is because our server, Aubrey, was amazing! Will it be going back, or to the tavern cause it appears to be owned by the same

Stopped in for lunch. Was a prefect spot to eat and re Charge. The food was amazing. Service was fantastic. Glad we stopped in. Cannot wait to return

This restaurant was nice and the waiter we had was new I think because he kept coming back with questions about what we ordered. The pop was flat pop and warm. I got the beef sliders which were really good. My daughter got the loaded nachos which were just okay. My stepdaughter got the chicken tenders which were really good. My husband ordered a burger which he liked a lot. I gave it three stars because of the warm flat pop, other than that it would have been four stars. The pictures on the wall were really a nice touch but very dusty.

Service was good very attentive and with a smile! Inside is very detailed with architectural bar. Southwest egg rolls were a bit spicy but, flavorful and good! Spinach artichoke quesadilla was a lot of cream cheese.... Boneless wings were good, beer was cold!

I've got to say this is probably the grossest place to eat on the island. Honestly! Chicken fajitas were so gross and drowned in gravy like sauce and tasted like it was freezer burnt. The beans were hard and crusty on the plate and the rice was DISGUSTING! Did not taste like Mexican food. We got packaged sour cream as well. Waaaay over priced for the portions also.

Standard bar with standard bar food. We opted to eat at the bar. Friendly, attentive service from an efficient, busy bartender. We had a bean burrito and a half order (thought still huge) of nachos. Good drink selection and okay draft selection (we had a good rum and coke and two Two Hearteds). The best part about the place was that it ranked very low on the touristy scale per Mackinac Island standards. Pretty laid back, unpretentious place. We'd go back, esp. if we're looking only for drinks.

First we walk in table of 10 available. We were a table of six. They initially essentially refused to seat us because our party size didn't match the open table correctly. They quickly saw that they could seat us elsewhere. Chicken fingers...3 fried bread bites for 14$ one had no meat. 5$ add on for fries Other meals were okay. Won't be back

Excellent service, very good food, large portions, great atmosphere. Would definitely go back. Please note that going to the bathroom may seem a bit sketchy since you have to go to the basement of the neighboring hotel-but you'll survive.

This was the first restaurant I had enjoyed when I main covid mandated were "lifted" visited august 2020 and was really happy and grateful to be inside and at the bar. They were being very strict on capacity, social distancing, masks, and sanitation when we went. It was very comfortable and the gaslight vibes were strong inside. So pretty! Service was amazing and the food came quick and as described. Great place for a bite on the island.

This is a fun spot. They have your typical pub faire, but it is really good. I went with the sliders and found them terrific! They also have a nice selection of beer. There are tons of TVs, so you can watch just about any sport imaginable. Being the Midwest, there was lots of college football, which is fine. Our server, Zach, was great. He was very attentive, friendly, and funny. I am not sure if my travels will bring me back to Mackinac Island anytime soon. If yours do, make you stop by Horn's.

I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger, which I asked for medium and it came out at least well done. Our waitress delivered what I consider to be the worst service I have ever received at a bar with such average food and above average prices. If you come to Mackinac, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere if u want a good experience. The workers had a shitty attitude towards my group, and they seemed to already count our table as taken care of since they got a 20% tip from the start. In my opinion , management needs to have a talk with their staff about the level of customer service they are delivering to their clientele. Overall: 4.2

I stayed on Mackinac Island with family and we decided to check out Horn's one night for dinner. We're so glad that we did! I had the Casa Combo, their Mexican combo platter, which was out of this world. My dad had the crab quesadilla, which he really enjoyed as well. They have a good beer selection as well. Our waitress was very friendly. Horn's is a great bar and restaurant on Mackinac Island!

Quick service. Nachos are huge but standard. Had the sliders. We're fine. My son and a southwest quesadilla loaded with meat! Quick and easy on a summer July Friday evening !

This place was the worst place I have ever eaten at. The service was ass and the food was so mid. The workers treated us like shit and had no respect. If u go there you will probably either get food poisoning or get yelled at by some stupid bitch.

Expensive, crowded, food was sub par. Everywhere on the island is crowded during season, but most of the food is really good. Disappointed.

We came to visit the island for a total of 5 days 3 of which we went there to have the after 11:30pm sandwiches. They are the bomb!!. We also went there for breakfast one of those days and the food is great. But the main point and the best one is the service of the staff here. We had Shelby as our server. She is one of the best customer service associates my wife and me have had the pleasure of dealing with. I would recommend this place to anyone that would care to ask. Thank you so much Shelby!!

Just eh. Expect classic bar menu, but nothing popped out as sounding amazing. They mixed in some Tex-Mex options and very cheaply tried to add some faux "Mexican" decor in the otherwise old historic bar. It was honestly just sad. The Turkey Ruben I ordered was small, lackluster and came with a packet of thousand island dressing on the side. The menu and decorations need an entire overhaul! Not worth it as there are much better options on the island that don't make you feel like you're eating in some dying strip mall restaurant!

First time here, even with the pandemic I would say there service was great and timely. The food is good I wouldn't say it's the best but it's definitely good for the island. Overall though I would go back it was very organized and well managed in chaotic time where many businesses have struggled to cope with the current climate.
