Horse Country Resort Congress & SPA

This is definitely a 3 star hotel. If you like the smell of horses and enjoy eating with wasps, this is the place for you. The beach, the food are not representative of Sardegna, meaning they are of a lower quality. I stayed with friends for 11 nights, mid-July to early August 2025, and we were all definitely very disappointed. We are not the only ones, just read the reviews there are plenty of issues identified. For the services we received the price should be been of a quality 3 star. If you like horses and beautiful gardens, then ok, else, I would recommend choosing another venue.

We recently stayed at this resort, drawn by the beautiful photos and serene promises. What we found was a place full of contrast — both charming and disappointing in equal measure.||ROOM – Where Comfort Took a Vacation||Cons:| • The pillows were like overfilled balloons — stiff and uncomfortable.| • The shower cabin was so small it felt designed for a malnourished contortionist.| • Water pressure and temperature were completely unpredictable — a “Scottish shower” experience at best.| • No mosquito nets, despite being in an area buzzing with insects. West Nile virus, anyone?| • The air conditioning unit was purely decorative.| • The TV wasn’t smart — much like the room’s design.||Pros:| • Sheets were changed every 3 days and towels daily.| • The room was cleaned every day.| • Housekeeping staff were genuinely kind and helpful.||RESORT – Beauty on the Surface||The gardens were truly beautiful and well maintained — a clear highlight.|There was cleanliness throughout the resort, including the pools.|Parking was free, though you might want to wash your car afterward due to the dust.|There are multiple terraces to relax on, but prices are quite high.|The beach was in the middle of renovations and not fully enjoyable yet.||DINING – Kindness Can’t Save the Kitchen||Breakfast – Unfortunately, nearly inedible. Same limited menu every day: undercooked scrambled eggs, bacon soaked in oil, rock-hard boiled eggs, low-quality cold cuts, and undrinkable coffee.||Dinner – While the variety was appreciated, the quality was disappointing. The complimentary house wine tasted like it came from the cleaning supply closet.||On the Bright Side:| • Very friendly and attentive kitchen staff.| • Dining area was clean and well maintained.||LOCATION – Remote, in Every Sense||The resort is truly isolated — far from any major or minor towns.|If you’re planning a stay, rent a car for the entire duration. You’ll need it.||⸻||Final Thoughts:||This resort has so much potential — beautiful gardens, daily cleaning, and kind staff. Sadly, these qualities are overshadowed by poor room comfort, subpar food, and a general sense of disinterest in guest experience. With some key improvements, it could be a gem. For now, it remains an unfinished promise.

Beautifull place with a disgusting pizzeria. DO NOT EAT PIZZA HERE PLEASE! There is nothing in the shop and only go there if you love horse riding. The horses are amazing. Unfortunatelly the sea side was full with trash and seaballs! Please clean it!

I lovee this place, was visiting from US with my friends. The place is clean and nice. Ladina Beppe was amazing. Good communication, caring and made my vacation unforgettable. I highly recommend this place if you are looking where to stay!!

I enjoyed my time at the resort very much. It’s a great place to go if you are looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat. The main focus of my trip was the opportunity to go on daily horse-riding hacks in the forest and along the beach and to take some lessons. The stables manager and coach was fantastic and I felt she helped me connect with horses better and overall delivered a great experience that made my trip fantastic! With regard to the hotel, the staff is very welcoming and helpful. The animators were friendly and fun and organised various interesting activities! I definitely would recommend the resort if you are thinking about a relaxing trip to Sardinia!

Very disappointed with how old and not updated it was. My cupboard door broke as I slid it because it was super old and hanging by a nail. The bathroom was below mediocre. I felt like I was in a 3rd world country bathroom. As I checked in, went into my room took off my shoes and walked barefoot on the ground all the sand and dust stuck to my feet, which means they did not clean properly before handing me the room. Too expensive for a very old hotel with bad service. Other than that they had nice views. But to watch. Good food you had to go outside, their restaurant was bad.

I spent a week on a horse-riding retreat here and I had a phenomenal time! Coach Rachael was great and supportive, and I made such quick progress learning with her! ||The horses are great, very well looked after and loved by the team! I had the chance to ride several of them and they were all lovely! ||The area itself is stunning! I went for a few hacks, including sunset rides on the beach and a ride to see the flamingos. Truly a beautiful experience to walk in the pine forest and along the beach.||I would love to come back again and definitely recommend it to anyone who loves horses, nature or would like to learn to ride!

I'm sorry, but this resort with supposedly 4 🌟 cannot be recommended. No dressing for the salad at dinner, unbelievable. Not even a coffee after dinner I s possible, WTH 🤯 Room condition ... better not to talk about it. Definitely not recommended.
