Highly recommend for hometown authentic welcoming atmosphere. We had the pleasure of being serviced by the owner, Deb, who was one of a kind. We had a party of 8 and serviced very well. Took a ride in from Phoenix and food was delicious. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy but everything we all had was great. Thanks Deb and Ron. Can’t wait to go back again

Horseshoe Cafe has a cozy, small-town feel with home-style cooking. The breakfast burrito was a standout. A generous portions and tasty combination of eggs, cheese, and chorizo. The spicy homefries were good on the side. The Rustlers Sandwich was a satisfying option too with generous portion and robust flavors. Would surely recommend. Would drop a star since the cook was not wearing a hair net. Found a strand of what looked like hair in the sour cream! Update: they did acknowledge the comment and commit to address the concern!

2nd time. Sunday morning at 9. A small, older building on the corner in Wickenburg. The place was almost full when we came in. We were seated immediately. Menus and drinks came quickly. My chicken fried steak smothered in homemade sausage gravy with hash browns, 2 eggs and toast. My breakfast was tasty, flavorful and hot. Tasty food! Wife had a small biscuit and gravy with a healthy chunk of ham. Very tasty as well. Both of us were full. Great place! We will be back.

Hungry for down home cooking? Make sure you are REALLY hungry. Portion sizes are super generous. I always order their horseshoe omelet, which is also called a "hot mess on a plate". It may not be the prettiest but it is fantastic! The atmosphere is perfectly small town as you look out onto the main drag. Service is always done with a smile. Highly recommend!

Google
This is my breakfast stop while doing driver training from N.W. Phoenix. The food is great, we love the omelets The staff and customers are very friendly. The next time I'm taking pictures, the decor is rustic western perfect for Wickenburg, it's small so get their early. I had to go back again to get some great pictures. I had the boss and wait staff outside for a phot op. Enjoy.

Google
It's an experience! Huge biscuits and lots of gravy. Everyone should try it. :) Add two eggs for six dollars more, which seems a little pricey. Service depends on the waitress. One morning, 2 of us waited an hour for breakfast. Great diner coffee!

Google
Side of political indigestion with that burger? This is not even a campaign sign, but a notice that I am unwelcome here. Wish I had noticed it before I sat down. Inappropriate. Edit after owner’s response. The food was excellent and the service great, as reflected in the stars I gave those aspects of the experience.

Google
Stopped by with my sister for a quick breakfast. We were completely ignored we waited almost 15 minutes before I started looking around at all there “decor” I instantly got the feeling we weren’t welcomed because of the color of our skin. I’m American but native Mexican. Very disappointed by our experience. As we got up we noticed the staff just staring us down! It was so uncomfortable

Yelp
Was on the way to Vegas from Phoenix and stopped at Horseshoe Café along the way, After checking out the menu I knew I wanted some biscuits and gravy. But I had looked around and saw they don't play with the size of them biscuits, so I went with a 1/2 order. The 1/2 order is just ONE biscuit SMOOTHERED in sausage gravy. I also got a side of home fries, cuz every breakfast needs potatoes. These biscuits and gravy were DELISH!! But even with just one biscuit it was too much for me. Horseshoe Café is a small place and does get packed on the weekends, but we really didn't have to long of wait. Glad to have stopped by and given them a try!

Yelp
First time here. I ordered the chicken fried steak with over easy eggs, home fries and sourdough toast. The check was perfectly cook with a great peppered gravy. The home fries and eggs were perfectly cooked as well. The service was spot on and they made sure you we were taking care of and had everything we needed. The ambiance was your normal café chatter.

Yelp
Luckily we got there early, as in 9am because the people just kept coming. Small diner with really good food. I love me a good biscuits and gravy when traveling. The gravy is phenomenal!!!! Best I've had!!!!! The place was packed with two servers, they were hustlin'. They kept their cool and provided good service. As you can see by the pictures they don't skimp on portions. That's one biscuit under all that gravy. First time in all my times ordering this dish elsewhere that I didn't have to ask for more gravy. You have to eat here if you make to Wickenburg

Yelp
Lisa our Server is a "Stitch" great sense of humor and very helpful. Ambiance is unique, seat yourself, NO Checks, NO Exceptions Quality meat used in all meat dishes and meals. No beer, wine or alcohol. Great place to meet fun loving customers. The servings are plentiful, you won't go away hungry! Burgers are To Die For! Onion Rings are SUPER
google avatar

Jordan S.

Yelp
Homey, comfortable, fun and very . . . very . . . casual. We had breakfast and it was both delicious and plentiful. Unless you're big eaters, consider splitting the entrees. That's what we did (at the recommendation of our waitress) and she was right! The atmosphere is just what you'd expect for Wickenburg and will like if that's what you're looking for.. Being cash though. They don't take cards.

Tony C.

Yelp
Definitely a Cafe from the past really nice staff good menu tasty food and very reasonable. I highly recommend you check out the horseshoe Café in Wickenburg, Arizona.

Yelp
Food service ambience were all terrific. Great spot for a breakfast stop on the way home. Especially recommend the biscuits and gravy

Yelp
Here we are, back at the Horseshoe Cafe on our way to Las Vegas for our annual anniversary trip. It feels like this is where everyone in Wickenburg comes to eat, because it's, always full of people. "Why?' you might ask. Because the food is, amazing and scratch made with love, the portion sizes are great, the service is, friendly because the owners run the restaurant, and the atmosphere is, upbeat and cheerful. There are also funny signs on the walls to keep you amused while your food is being prepared. For me, it's always going to be the Country Fried steak and eggs (if you know, you know) and my sweetheart will have scrambled aggs and French toast. It's all wonderful. If you're hungry in Wickenburg for breakfast or lunch you'd be foolish to pass this place up!

Yelp
On our way to Kingman, we stopped for breakfast at this little restaurant. Brenda, our waitress, was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. The food reminded us of a homemade Sunday breakfast at grandma's house, with everything made from scratch, including the hamburger patties. The patty melt was one of the best I've ever had. Our whole family was thrilled with their meals, and the coffee and tea were delicious. We'll definitely make this a regular stop on our trips between Phoenix and Kingman!

Yelp
Visited Sat of Memorial Day weekend. Had to wait over to be served. Pancake was only 1/2 done seems the cook forgot to turn over. My crisp bacon was anything but crisp. If you want to be offended and are not a Trump person, sign on the wall vote for Trump make Liberals Cry. Been a frequent guest in past years, never again.
google avatar

Yelp
The BEST breakfast I have ever had in Arizona. Yup! That's right. I got ham, eggs and bacon and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the eggs sunny side up and they broke apart and they even offered to remake it. But I told them it was ok it would taste the same. Had 6 other people in my party and they also loved the food. I honestly can't wait to eat breakfast here again sometime.
google avatar

Yelp
Horrible. Flies all over. Server never came by. Food bad. Like it's been sitting all day. We had breakfast. Not cheap. Waste of money. Yech. Left my food

myra b.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst experience in a restaurant I've ever had filthy filthy filthy. The food came out ill prepared. The walls are kicked with grease. The cook himself came out with a filthy shirt. He looked like he'd worn for three days in a row and clean the grill with his hands were dirty. His pants were dirty. Shoes were old and dirty, it was disgusting
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Owner lamented that she had no customers. Maybe it's because this diner makes over half the population feel unwelcome with the giant Trump "Make Liberals Cry Again" flag hanging above the tables. Decided to take my businesses across the street to the Spur Diner, which was filled to the brim with satisfied customers. I'm not interested in political insults shoved down my throat while I try to enjoy a simple breakfast at this "family" establishment.

Yelp
Yummy biscuits and gravy, SO BIG, ask for a 1/4 order! Super friendly staff (all family) real fun atmosphere. This is a local hangout for sure.
google avatar

Kim B.

Yelp
Waited a long time to get a drink and order. French toast was good and the biscuit's & gravy was not very good!!,

David P.

Yelp
Quaint Mom and Pop place with delicious, filling meals. Quick service where they actually really appreciate your business. Expect a friendly crowd including cowboys and bikers. Almost always busy. Don't miss the biscuits and gravy!

Adam A.

Yelp
The service was friendly and food was excellent. Please listen to advice about the size of the biscuits and gravy or just bring a friend or two to help.
google avatar

Yelp
For such a small place this restaurant really puts out the food. Yes Great omlettes ! Please try the green Chile and jalapeño home fries, bueno!! We drove from tempe for breakfast if that tells you something. Enjoy the food and American values!!!

Kathleen J.

Yelp
Had the bacon cheeseburger, they forgot the bacon then tossed in in the deep fryer to bring it to us. They did end up not charging us for the bacon. Burger was pretty good fries luke warm. The whole place presents like grandma's greasy kitchen and needs a full makeover. The waitress tried to be pleasant but I think they were short staffed. The day we were there, we watched them close 15 min early and saw people trying to get in and w were the only ones there. Would get the burger again, but maybe to go.
google avatar

Renee H.

Yelp
Breakfast was just ok. Nothing special but by no means bad. Pretty much a hole in the wall place but still good.

Walter S.

Yelp
Nice little cafe has good food and looking at others plates I definitely didn't get the best dish on the menu I will have to come back for sure Only issue was that it seemed a little cramped but worthy it .
google avatar

Yelp
We were looking for a local breakfast spot and happened to find this place on Yelp. When walking in you can tell it's a small family owned business and the perfect ambiance you would expect from a hometown cafe. The owner and daughters all work there and the food was amazing. The pancake was not only huge, it was thick and fluffy. The omelettes were amazing but the chicken fried steak and the gravy it came with was my favorite. If you want to try the pancakes or french toast, go early because those items are not available after 10am.
google avatar

Rosa A.

Yelp
Our server was very nice and delightful! Great service and homemade all American breakfast! Love this cafe for their welcoming environment and wonderful setting.
google avatar

Macs R W.

Yelp
Solid value, and solid people. DW had the "One pancake (you'd better be hungry!)" It was very fluffy and drooped off both sides of the platter (see photo). She couldn't finish it. I tried the Burro with eggs, chorizo, and jalapeños, and the "spicy home fries." Loved them both, though I learned that "spicy" means more jalapeños, not "seasoned," so this gringo ODed on hot peppers this morning! Both tasty and filling. Breakfast for two was $25, the lowest check we've seen since gas was $3.
google avatar

Kim E.

Yelp
What a great find. An unassuming little place that is big on flavor and big portions. Service was prompt and spot on with our orders. A definite do again as the tater tots were amazing.
google avatar

Janet B.

Yelp
One of our favorites to stop at when passing through Wickenburg ~ great breakfast, friendly service and clean.
google avatar

Connor G.

Yelp
If you are looking for a nice place to eat that resembles and has lots of Wild West vibes, this is the place! The kitchen and back area is a little sketch but the food does not reflect that! Our waitress was very friendly and helped us find other small gems in the town! It is a different vibe but would definitely go back!
google avatar

Matt R.

Yelp
Great food. Very good friendly service. We love the hamburgers, the best!! Great breakfast too!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food, and plenty of it! You will not go away hungry! Very friendly staff in a Mom and pop cafe!

Sarah O.

Yelp
We decided to try this cafe based on a review that the coffee was excellent, unfortunately the barista machine wasn't working so we weren't able to try one. We did have a smoothie and a slushy which were excellent on a very hot day. The food was okay, as we are vegetarian and there wasn't many options. I had a wrap, minus the turkey and it seemed to contain mostly lettuce, although my partners melted cheese croissant was good he said.

Yelp
The first time we went to horseshoe cafe was about 6 years ago. We thought the biscuits and side of gravy were amazing but we definitely felt the ambiance which was mostly the cleanliness was something to be desired. We took a road trip and stopped by the cafe again last month. There was a couple next to us raving about the chicken fried steak. The food was good but I had to overcome the filthy atmosphere. I don't think I'll be back which I'm sad about because I do love the biscuits there.

John S.

Yelp
Stopped in after the Hotshots hike on Friday, unfortunately missed the 10am pancakes and french toast deadline. We were a party of 6 and after a hour of waiting for our food we should have walked ( felt sorry for the other 5 tables who looked disappointed waiting as long ). I ordered the Chile ( it looked like soup ) and my side order of onion rings consisted of 3 and 1/2 rings ,spouse ordered an omelette that looked like eggs with a glop of yellow cheese ( that came off the bill ). It was obvious the person in the kitchen had no clue how to cook but the waitress ( very friendly) should have warned us before ordering!

Yelp
For breakfast- and when I say "breakfast" what I actually mean is "biscuits and gravy" - this place cannot be beat. Here's the scoop: -the wait staff is pleasant and will banter as good as they get. -the food comes big- consider that when you order. -nobody seems to wait too long- even when it's busy! -good local hang where people are welcome. So, if you happen to be out this way and you're wondering where to have a heart homemade breakfast. Here's your stop.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Doors locked at 12noon on Saturday?? Update your hours!! Drove a long way to be turned away. Very disappointed. Oh well, spurs cafe seems very nice....
google avatar

Edward D.

Yelp
Just flat out and say, I was here for the biscuit and gravy. And it was worth it. Buddy and myself were in town to golf. Since his father swears by this place. We had to try it out. I ended up having a 1/2 order of biscuit and gravy with hash browns and sausage. Unless you can put a lot down during a meal. 1/2 order is plenty. I can not complain about anything with the food. Thus the reason why it did not get five stars. Service is not the best, servers are really nice, and did a great job, However they seemed a bit unorganized. This created some issues during the visit. Cleanliness also needs improvement. I get it, it's a dive but this place can sure use some elbow grease. Some people may not agree with their politics, but get over it, Great Food and great atmosphere.

Yelp
Soooooo we've been going on food adventures and the horseshoe cafe has by far been THE MOST ADVENTUROUS adventure we have been on thus far!!! Duuuuuuude!!! My sister and i have been laughing about this place for a day straight, great entertainment buuuuuuut i had difficulty actually eating here!!! I have to admit that some of my close friends live in the small, remote, uh slightly odd town of Roswell, NM annnnnnd i admit to having made some snarky comments about the city before, (SORRY!;) buuuuuut after experiencing Wickenburg AZ, Roswell seems VERY GLAMOROUS!!!! (: I would like to explain WHY i gave Horseshoe cafe four stars because the food was good, the staff was very friendly and the prices were FILTHY CHEAP...a long with the rest of the restaurant!!!! AHAHAHAAA!!! As soon as we walked in, which was around 8 am, my shoes started squeaking from the sticky floor, flies everywhere, just old stains on the walls, hair stuck in wall decor, tables and chairs seemed ancient, smell of cigarettes in the air due to the door being open and everyone on smoke breaks and although funny sayings and quaint decor, there was a very cluttered feel to it, im definitely not minimalist but it was too much for even me!!! Lol Generally speaking, i consider myself to be on more the ghetto side of things, but inside there, I felt like the queen of England!!! The other customers, whom im assuming were locals of the small town could not stop staring at us, like we were from another planet...it was very awkward feeling, LIIIIIIIKE, is it weird that i actually brushed my hair, fully dressed, annnnnnd have fake teeth instead of empty front gaps?! Bahahaaaa To eat we got pancakes and french toast because it felt the safest, no dairy, no meat! Both were very good and the pancakes were just the way i like them with that crispy, buttery edge! I had really wanted to try their chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy, buuuuuuut i just couldn't do it, the atmosphere made me overly cautious, I'm adventurous, buuuuuuut perhaps one of you all could find out for me!!! ;) The reason why i don't rate them less is because they are what they are and that's who and what they want to be! They ain't trying to be uppity or something that they're not! They don't care what you or anyone besides Trump thinks!!! They don't care if they are five stars or -5 stars! There are signs everywhere that they don't care about your complaints! I take it that they are for the locals of that city and that city loves them! They are for their people, outsiders can come but that's not their target audience!!! If you don't like them, don't come back, ANNNNNND guess what?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I WON'T BE!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

Yelp
If your are the sensitive type, have a gluten intolerance, or don't like meat this place is not for you. Go to Denny's or there is a McDonald's down the road. If you like a good hearty breakfast then this is your place! They do not disappoint. I have been here on several occasions and if has always hit the spot! Try a 1/2 order of biscuits n gravy, throw a side of sausage (there is plenty of sausage in the gravy, but I'm a glutton for punishment) on top, and a couple of eggs the way you like them on top of that, then douse liberally with Cholula (optional for those that don't like heat). I was in there one time and Deb (the owner) was working. A guy insisted on a full order of BnG. I'll never forget this. Deb told this guy, "Honey, if you eat a 1/2 order and still want the other 1/2, it's on me!" All of us horseshoe veterans about died laughing. He didn't order the 2nd half!

mark k.

Yelp
quaint, western town cafe, locals love it so do I, when in wickenburg again gonna hit it back up, had the 1/2 order biscuits and gravy topped with an egg sunny side up cooked to perfection, gravy was meaty and creamy on a fresh baked biscuit ordered a 1/2 order it was a HUGE plate full, a couple next to us asked what we had they decided full order b&g HUGE mistake came out on a large platter so if you are super hungry thats the bet. thumbs up on this quaint diner

Yelp
Let One Nation Under God!! Had quick breakfast there this morning.. always love the atmosphere.. People are friendly & patriotic! Food is great TRUMP2020!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Before anything else I would like to say this was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. - We have been hearing about this place since we moved to Wickenburg a couple months ago and finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast and the sausage gravy is to die for! The potatoes are the real deal abs not from a frozen bag. Pancakes are wonderful. Hubby ordered a pancake, a couple eggs and sausage. The server warned him on the size and told him one would be enough. Thank you for the warning. The pancake was almost as big as the table. Hahaha. Not really but it was huge. I took pics. The server was so nice and welcomed us to Wickenburg. Very sweet abs attentive. We will become regulars here and can't wait to try their lunch.

Yelp
We were served three *seriously* undercooked eggs. We ate here several years ago, but it's not what it used to be.
google avatar

Yelp
Rustic, original cafe... great atmosphere, comfortable environment... Deb Rocks... Wickenburg- Great day trip away from everything.
google avatar

Yelp
We walked in. We walked out. Maybe the food tastes good, but the place did not smell good. Then I looked up their health inspection scores (they used to be linked on Yelp, but apparently now Yelp only posts the health score on the worst in the jurisdiction). Anyway, for people's information, here is the link to the Maricopa County health inspections. Only the last 10 are listed, but there is a clear pattern. https://envapp.maricopa.gov/EnvironmentalHealth/FoodSearchInspection?p=FD-26985&i=0

Yelp
We used to go several times a year on the way to Vegas but it's been a couple of years. Thought we'd try today but hell no...as don't want politics served with our breakfast. Adios!
google avatar

April C.

Yelp
I checked the reviews just to make sure I wasn't being too sensitive, but it only solidified my feelings about this place. It was gross and uncomfortable. I tend not to be the sensitive kind. I've been called every name in the book in regards to my race and it really doesn't bother me. What does bother me is being stared down by some weird lady in colonial wear as I eat my food. This lady appeared to be friends of the owner from what I gathered by overhearing the conversation with the waitress. The burger was ok, but the cheese was moldy. I had to take the cheese off to be able to at least enjoy the overpriced burger. I kept being bothered by the flies trying to land on my food or near me. I kid you not there were about 20 flies just going around. At one point the chef went outside to smoke and then right back to cooking without washing his hands. To top it all off they have a sign that condones sexual harassment. I definitely will never be going back.
google avatar

Wyn-C E.

Yelp
Unfortunately the reused oil and unsanitary restaurant made me extremely ill. This place needs a serious overhaul. While the idea of wild west decor is good. The cleanliness is awful.
google avatar

Trina R.

Yelp
Great little cafe. Quick home cooked lunch on the way to Phoenix. Hubby and kids got burgers and I got a grilled cheese. Delish.
google avatar

Sheila C.

Yelp
A little hole in the wall restaurant. Had one of the best BLT sandwich that I have had in a long time. The homemade potato salad was the bomb. Other than the few flies that were driving me crazy. I would definitely go back.
