Relaxing with family on the weekend. We liked everything very much! We want to thank the girl who served our table. Thank you very much! The atmosphere, the food, everything was just great. We recommend!!

I tried the Phil cheesesteak and the burger . Both were good. Definitely a very busy spot to hang out and spend an afternoon.

Brian, our server was great. The place was packed and everyone was there to listen to music that night. The turkey wrap was pretty good. My partner had a chicken sandwich with too much chicken! When does that happen!? Band was a lot of fun. Wished they had started earlier on that Sunday night. We got there about 445 and the place was almost full.

Perfect place to watch a game, the horsethief creek burger is absolutely great and the fries were the best I had in a very long time - worth every cent! Staff has taken good care of us and brought new beer at an instant. Would definitely come back!

A feel good establishment, great service and delicious pub food! The pickle spears were the best I’ve ever had! Moist on the inside and crisp on the outside! The mini pierogis were also superb!

Had a quick lunch when visiting Radium hot springs. Conveniently located near the Kootenay Park Visitor Centre. The burger and the service was good. The pub has big tvs playing the blue jays game.

Great food and great service. The waitress was very accommodating to our large group and also helped us pick some great menu items.

This was the perfect place for a couple of Americans to watch Sunday Football in Canada. The food was amazing but even better was the service. Kaitlyn was absolutely wonderful. Best service we have had in a very long time. Kaitlyn thank you so much for everything.

Worst service ever. stood at the door for 30 minutes without a single host letting us know how long the wait was or if there was any tables free. The staff served everyone that cut the queue and didn't care about anyone waiting.

Good beers and great service in this old taven in town. We were hoping for some light appetizers, so we ordered the lightest looking item on the menu, spring roll appetizers. They came out being fried mini egg rolls. Oh well. Not exactly what we expected but we could have asked. We didn't order any other food. The server was fast and attentive. 3 stars for good local brews and great service.

5 stars for Horsethief! Made a random trip into Radium and we were hungry! Got here around 5 which was perfect timing before the place filled up. Service was fast and friendly, these staff know how to serve! We had the nachos with Tex Mex Chicken, some mini perogies for our little one and we devoured it all. The place is family friendly with high chairs. You can sit inside or out. Good classic bar atmosphere.

Wonderful place to stop on a road trip. Couldn't be happier. Good food and ambience. My wife says we ate here before, but I don't remember. lol

We were looking for a restaurant in this small town and decided on Horsethief because they had outdoor seating. We were seated right away and our food came fairly quickly despite them being full. There were people from all walks of life in the restaurant- old, young, locals, foreigners, cowboys and hipsters. I loved the diversity of the place. We ordered pretzels to snack on while we people want her and enjoyed our cold beer. They weren't the best pretzels we've ever had but they weren't the worst either. The fried pickles and jambalaya that we ordered were great. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Radium.

Passing thru town and stopped in here for lunch. Delightful surprise! We enjoyed the poutine with pulled pork. The creator of the recipe for the French onion soup knew how to do it right!!! Very tasty The melted cheese topping was perfect. Our server Jessie was efficient and friendly. Highly recommend this business.

Best part was our server Jessi. She was amazing. This was 5th day of our trip and this was the best service of all. Food was also amazing. Thanks from Terri, Bryan and Mona

We were seated alright, but that was about it. 20 minutes go by, no server, no water, nothing. Just got up and left. The bachelor party shouting F bombs the whole time didn't help either. Maybe the food would have been good, just didn't make it that far. Too many other options in town. We were there on a Friday around 4p.

Service was great! You've got to try the fried pickles! Loved the crispy coating, a little greasy but oh so delicious. The soup of the day was a chicken vegetable that was chucked full of veggies but little chicken. Great flavor and filling. The grilled cheese was grilled perfectly. The shrimp nachos were also full of fresh veggies with ample shrimp and the Caesar salad was great!

Good service from Ben. The food was good, too. We especially liked the traditional Greek salad. The place has plenty of screens for watching sports... and apparently they have a drag show.

Got a platter and it was 50$ the waitress had no idea what she was doing. Bill was over 80$ for two drinks and platter. Only 4 dip fried pickles, 4 mozzarella sticks 10 wings, 10 nachos, and 20 of meat pieces. Not worth your time, unless you want to pay way more for nothing.

Horse he gets four stars only because it's in the town it's in Nothing special, but quite tasty. Takeout food works on a first night in Radium Hot Springs.

Amazing service even on a busy day. Food was great and we had enough for lunch and dinner. Perfect spot to stop on the way to Banff.

While we were wandering around Radium. The weather was perfectly hot and we needed a patio and a beer. The patio was packed but a couple was leaving just as we walked in so we grabbed their spot. The servers were fast to get us our beverages. I wanted something light so I ordered a bud light lime and their taco salad with chicken. I love their spin on taco salads. They didn't have it in a giant taco shell bowl they had pieces of tortilla in the salad. It was fresh and really well done! My friend ordered a chicken burger. It looked and tasted great. It was an entire chicken breast for the burger. Definitely getting your money worth here for great food. We asked for waters to fill up our water bottles as we were going on a hike and paragliding later that day. They were great and brought us water. They have the nicest washrooms too. Love the look of them. Just a great place for food and relaxing. The view doesn't hurt either.

This was a perfect stop before heading into the National Park out back... Nice variety of pub food options - my pulled pork was spot on for texture, and the pretzel bun was a perfect accompaniment. Service was very good for a visit on a sunny, busy weekend day in the high season.

Great little spot. We stayed in Radium on a recent vacation. Ended up eating here multiple times. Food and service were great each time.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Surprisingly good and varied fare with very nice service. When you're visiting a quaint little country town you don't expect much, but this pub really overdelivered. The place was larger than expected, with lots of seating.The ambiance is casual cowboyish, but clean and well-maintained. Their menu was also quite large and diverse (they have some items with jalapenos and thai spices!). I got the fish and chips and the bf had the veggie burger. The portions were very generous and the food tasty. Paired with draft beer from some local breweries, it was the perfect pub lunch. Our waitress was really great, friendly and on the ball, and of course, the free WiFi is always welcome. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Service is meh, had to go up to the bar to ask the server for coffee refill and dip because she never checked on us. Food is pretty good but extremely expensive. Had a beer and when I was half done noticed the glass was filthy.

When arriving to radium our mouth was dry and our belly's hungry. We stopped for lunch and to our surprise they had Cesar's on special. Delicious. As we were gearing to depart the waitress mentioned a live music event later that night. Our ears perked up and our eyes widened. The sun went behind the mountain and the valley grew dark and we made our way back to the horse and thief. This is when tragedy struck. We were greeted by a line up with no end in site. We then had to wait there confused, hungry and cold which felt like ages before anyone came to greet us. Once our presence was acknowledged by the staff, we were scolded as a group about how the locals are staying and we likely wouldn't be allowed in. This was disheartening since we wanted to see the band and were enthralled with the food and drink quality from our lunch outing previous that day. Once the woman finished her speech, she turned to us and snarked "did you catch that?". We had not entirely caught it. Her volume was not appropriate for the occasion. To remedy the situation and make the wait bearable, we had asked the woman if we could order a drink to sip on in the meantime. The response was nothing more than condescending. "Noooo, nooooo" she replied smiling and making us feel like outsider swine. Maybe if we had a light down puffer jacket on things would've been different!

Nice restaurant and the waitress is very friendly. Good food and refreshing! I like buying local. Whenever I visiting places, I don't go to big franchise. I like to try all local restaurant and have the local tastes instead. This place rock. I will come back next time when visit Radium, for sure.

I have been hospitality industry over 25yrs. I ordered the turkey wrap, if you have turkey in the name it should be mostly turkey. There was very little in the wrap. There was a red haired server and when I asked her a couple questions she dismissed me as though I was putting her out by talking to her and told me to google it. Maybe she shouldn't work in customer service. There was a server with glasses that was very nice and friendly, Erin i think. She counter balanced the less friendly redhead very well. I know it's a small town pub but still...

The signature Horsethief Creek Burger is a great choice if you are starving and this will definitely feed you well!!! The beef patty is very juicy, well seasoned, and the size is big. I'm not a big fan of burger, but this one is an exception=) Louisiana Style Jambalaya is not good, don't order it.

The food and service were good. Prices were fair. The host was enthusiastic, and the server was efficient.

Great place with a friendly atmosphere! Had some Gluten free options - had the curry with chicken and shrimp - very tasty! My partner had the beef dip - pretzel bun had a lot of salt on it - so not enjoyed but the beef itself and the dip was wonderful! Nice to have the salad as a side. Drinks were great! Price was a bit high but glad I could get the 1/2 size Kootenay curry for $17.95.

I loved the burger building system. Select the style (BBQ, Classic etc) select the meat, select the sides. BBQ burger is amazing. Poutine was decent. Fish and chips crispy. Portions are big, even after a day on the road or hiking in Kootenay. Hockey, Baseball and Football on TV. If you happen to look for a dinner in Radium, take a look.

Awesome restaurant and a little piece of heaven viewed from the front of there doors. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp as an app, I don't think they could have been any better, a incredible start! Then I had the Kootenay curry and a side of garlic toast. WOW!! This was one for the books, the flavors were incredible and the half portion size was perfect, the garlic toast was a great addition and much needed. My boyfriend had the chicken Cesar wrap and we all know how hard it is to perfect those, but it was by no means disappointing. Such nicely seasoned chicken and the Cesar dressing on the salad in the wrap was amazing. The poutine was okay. The Cesar's were also very tasty, I wish I could have had more. Overall this was a huge highlight of our trip, and we will absolutely be back here!

I was really looking forward to checking this place out based on the reviews, however I wasn't overly impressed after we had lunch there last week. The service we received was mediocre at best, considering capacity limitations. Each server only had like 3 small tables, yet I was always the one getting their attention and asking the server for refills and for condiments, etc., as opposed to them checking in on their customers. After we received our food, we weren't even asked if everything was alright or if we needed anything else, she just dropped off the food and walked away. We didn't see her again until I got her attention to say we are ready to pay. The food was ok but definitely nothing to rave about. I had the chicken special on a brioche bun and the hubby had a clubhouse. The portion size was good and everything was cooked properly. They are taking Covid precautions very seriously which is great, but their service definitely needs improvement. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here again.

A great stop for some burgers when your passing by! Burgers were delicious and very filling. I also chose fries as my side and the gravy that comes with it was amazing! Nice cozy pub with good service from the waiters. Definitely will stop by here again :)

Really surprised to find such a great place in a small town. Food and service was fantastic and reasonably priced. Best BLT on sour dough and Cesar I've had in a longtime! Well done!

Happy to find some gluten free options here. Really good gluten free bread. The clubhouse and hot Turkey were unreal.

The service was great, the food was good and the drinks were excellent. The only thing that I found strange is that staff are not wearing masks and use "social distancing" instead by placing drinks and food on a table beside and guests grab there items. While waitresses are telling which food items are which, as well as drinks, they were standing next to us at one point. All of it just seemed like extra steps that didn't need to happen. If servers wore masks they would not need to follow these extra steps and could serve tables normally while always following Covid regulations and making guests feel safe. It's hard to know if your always 6 feet away, as well as breathing on food and drinks is a concern.

Decided on this place because husband was craving fish and chips. Surprised to learn they do not offer this during the summer. Ordered Horse Thief's signature burger plus another burger with guacamole. Both without bun and a side of fries. Even after a rainy, 6 mile, mountain hike we would rate the meal average. We definitely left less hungry then when we came in.

Really cheap ingredients and aweful poutine. Tasted like everything came from a package.

Good local pub, it was packed when we got there. Service was good and the food came out quick. Typical pub food which met our expectations.

Passing through Radium on the way to a hike. This seemed like the most popular pub in town so we stopped in. I had honey-garlic wings, huckleberry wheat beer (Fernie Brewing) and the pulled-pork sandwich. The wings were good, the beer was great but the sandwich was incredible! I've had pulled pork all around the continent, including in the Deep South where they do a damn fine job of it. This was as good as I've ever had. The meat was tender, the sauce was outstanding and thick enough not to drip, while the bun was incredible - so soft and chewy. This now sets the standard for pulled-pork sandwiches! Especially appreciated the table-touching by the head chef while we were eating - I let him know what I thought of the sandwich!

Probably the WORST "dining" experience of my life. And I use the term "dining" in jest because we never actually got to eat any food!! We waited about 10 minutes before a server ever spoke to us, another 5 minutes to get a drink & food menu, another 10 minutes to get our drinks dropped off, then NOTHING! We waited over 1/2 hour before going to find our server, only to be told "hang on" ... no apology, nothing! So we decided to go elsewhere for food and asked for our drink bill ... only to be told that the bartender could ring us up. So a solid hour after we sat down, we left with having drank two pricy ($12) standard can/bottle beers, zero food, and lots of poor service & bad attitude. We will NOT be back!

Vegetarians, order the spinach burger! I am assuming it is not vegan, but it's one of the best veggie burgers I've had! Beer on tap is great too. Cozy spot. No dogs allowed on the patio.

Great food, great service! It's was hopping on Monday for Live Music Night and there were an array of food options, this is not typical Pub food, it's much, much more. They have daily special (sometimes weird) like dill pickle wings and jalapeño cheddar soup. The Beef Dip or Philly Cheese Steak are both really good! Kids are also welcome! It was a great place while going through the Columbia Valley.

Nice little bar/restaurant. I had the horsethief creek burger which was very tasty. French fries were average, a little too crispy for my taste. We ordered mozz stick for an app and they tasted like your typical frozen ones from the store. Poutine was average. Overall decent experience. It doesn't look like much from the outside at all, but the inside was surprisingly nice and spacious. I would eat there again, but then again, dining options are somewhat limited in Radium Hot Springs.

Went into this pub after walking around the Music & Market on Main that Radium has every Friday night. It was super busy, which is usually a good sign of the food. We were a little confused at first, as we waited to be seated, but found out it was a seat-yourself place. The menu was typical pub fare and I had the Horsethief Burger, while my wife had the Steak Sandwich. My burger tasted homemade. The fries were excellent. My wife's steak was fantastic and the potato salad was delicious. Service was super friendly and all staff we saw seemed to work well together and have smiles on their faces.

Stopped in here after the drive from Edmonton as I was spending the night right near by in Radium and planned on having a fair amount of beers and some food. Bar area was very small but I sat there as opposed to outside as I did plan on drinking heavily. Took about 5 minutes to even be acknowledged right at the wood and after each of my first 2 beers (which were only small 14oz'ers) its took another 5 minutes at least to get another one. I ordered some wings which were average pub wings with nothing accompanying them. Not bad and affordable so I didn't mind. After my third beer (which was the third local beer I haven't tried here in Edmonton) I sat there for about 10 minutes and even asked the waitress if there was anywhere else in town to have beers she actually told me that before asking me if I wanted another beer. Needless to say I simply just paid my tab and walked the 2 blocks to the other pub....which is about to get a significantly better review.....they also got my business for dinner and many more beers before the stagger to the hotel next door.

It's doesn't look like much from the outside, but you should never judge a book by it's cover! I have to say my expectations were not high, but I was more than impressed with this dive... Great service, excellent food, a bit dark and a tad divey, but overall a pleasant surprise. You can tell locals come here on Friday nights for a night out on the town. You could do much worse!

Decent drinks, food was typical bar fare - reliable and tasty. We ate there a few times because restaurant options in the area were limited. We had the perogie appetizer which was really good and the nachos with pulled pork were delish. The burger was odd, it was not 100% beef, it had a lot of filler so it was a mystery meat, but I think this may be a Canadian thing. We stumbled on karaoke night, which was entertaining.

Super friendly staff, the chef came out to check on us during the meal. Had games to play while at the table and the food was delicious (I had the horse thief burger and my husband had the pulled pork) and my picky-eater-8 year old said it was his favorite food from vacation ( he had the chicken tenders).
