Horti 14 Borgo Trastevere Hotel

We stayed at Horti 14 Borgo Trastevere Hotel after a very disappointing experience at another hotel, and the difference was honestly astonishing. This is what a real 4-star hotel should feel like. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Every interaction felt genuine, and they truly went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our room was absolutely beautiful — large, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. It had its own private terrace with a lovely garden, and since it was very rainy during our stay, having that private outdoor space made the experience even more special and cozy. The highlight was the bathtub overlooking the garden, which felt incredibly relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent in both size and quality. Despite the rainy weather, the hotel made everything easy — they even had umbrellas available for guests to borrow, which came in clutch and was such a thoughtful touch. Traveling with a dog, we were especially impressed by the attention to detail. They prepared the room for her with her own small couch covered with a blanket and dog bowls, which was incredibly welcoming. At checkout, we were also given a small gift, which perfectly reflected the level of care and hospitality throughout our stay. The location might seem slightly removed at first, but it’s actually ideal. The Vatican is very easily walkable, and Ubers or taxis were always available within 1–2 minutes, making it effortless to get anywhere in Rome. This hotel completely turned our trip around. Comfortable, elegant, warm, and genuinely hospitable — we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, relaxing stay in Rome.

We loved it. Fantastic service beautiful room, great bedding and guest supplies. Located perfectly for visiting all interesting places Rome has to offer. Only a 20 minute walk to the Vatican. Quiet, luxury hotel tucked away from the crowds and tourist. A bit of a walk but worth a little effort for a nice getaway from the city. The beautiful modern rooms were well designed to clearly contrast the tone of the city. As soon as you enter the gates to the hotel you can tell right away that it is unique and special. The bathtub fit two which we loved after a long day walking in the crowded city. The roof top where we had breakfast in the morning and wine at night was beautiful, spacious and surprisingly quiet, perfect for large parties or a wedding reception. If you’re staying in Rome this one is not to be missed.

Absolutely loved this property and wish I had stayed more than one night! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated. I loved the unique history of the property and the amazing location which was easily walkable. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in Rome!

Words can’t describe how happy we are with our choice of hosting our wedding here, nothing felt short of perfect. We had a destination wedding, and from the very first interaction, it felt like we were working with a trusted, long time partner, the communication was seamless, and every detail was handled with such professionalism and care. Melissa !, she coordinated everything with such love, patience, and dedication, making us feel like family throughout the entire process (and after). Our guests can’t stop raving about how stunning the venue looked, how tasteful the décor was, and how delicious the food turned out, it truly exceeded every expectation and created memories we will treasure forever. We had the pleasure of spending two days in Rome at the Horti 14 Hotel. A great hotel in a magical and beautiful location. Kind and wonderful staff, full of ideas and insights about the city. Excellent breakfast, quiet hotel that allows for a good night's sleep, large and very comfortable rooms. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff is very nice and friendly, and having breakfast included in the rate is a nice convenience-it was a very big nice quality buffet, with the option to order eggs any style. |The rooms are a nice size. But I was disappointed with the hotel overall as the rooms lacked modern comforts and it was a bit far from everything. In terms of the rooms, the hotel should make the following updates to make them more comfortable:|—put a rug down so we are not walking on hard cold tile (they do provide slippers which helped)|—put some shelving or a basket in the shower to put your soap etc on something vs the floor|—while it is nice the hotel provided shampoo and soap, it smelled AWFUL. I couldn’t use it. Suggest they find a new brand.|—upgrade the towels. They are thin and scratchy|—provide extra blankets so people have them for cold nights||In terms of location, the hotel is an 8 minute walk from the edge of old trastavere center. So while it is very quiet (though the walls are thin so if your neighbors are loud, it is not quiet), you are a minimum 10 minute walk to everything, typically 20 if you are going into the center of town near the Pantheon.||Overall I would not stay here again, I would rather opt for a hotel that is more centrally located and that has more of the modern comforts.

The rooms are beautiful - spacious, clean and modern. The AC is strong which was much needed during a heat wave. It feels like you are in a tropical oasis. I just wish it was closer to the heart of Trastevere and Center Storico. The walk isn’t long but during the heat, I found myself wishing we were more centrally located.
