"Why book? Horti 14 is a boutique hotel in the middle of trendy Trastevere, and delivers on everything you want from a city stay: smart design, elegant rooms, and a tranquil garden for relaxing. Set the scene. A design-forward hotel with good-looking public spaces, including colorful furnishings and industrial lights hanging from the ceiling. Young professionals tend to check in here for a stylish place to stay at a reasonable price. The backstory The hotel is set up around the garden, designed to bring a sense of calm after a day exploring what can sometimes be a frenetic city. The rooms Rooms are either superior or (the slightly bigger) deluxe, and are decked out in clean white lines, colorful cushions, and smooth marble tables. All of the rooms have desks, sofas for relaxing, and well-stocked minibars. Food and drink Breakfast (croissants, coffees, yogurt, fruit) is served at the Terrazza restaurant, overlooking the garden. There’s also a popular cocktail bar, La Legnameria, offering aperitivo (cocktails and snacks) nightly. The neighborhood/area Trastevere’s one of Rome’s better known districts, and while it’s decidedly more tourist-filled than it once was, it still clings to its working-class roots with lively food markets and loud neighborhood trattorias. Relaxing stay in a perfect location! I stayed at Horti 14 Borgo Trastevere and absolutely loved it. The hotel has a modern, stylish vibe but still feels really comfortable and welcoming. The staff were super friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The location is perfect — quiet but still just a short walk to all the great restaurants and charm of Trastevere. My room was clean, well-equipped, and had a great view of the garden. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 13 reserved 4 rooms post 9 day cruise. I was looking to decompress and recharge. The rest of our group was ready to explore Rome again. We had stayed 3 nights before the cruise. Both missions accomplished! I cannot say enough about this hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful at check-in. The rooms were so clean and quiet. The property was an oasis in the very busy city. The breakfasts were unbelievable and again the staff so friendly. The location was perfect. Restaurants and sites easily reached on foot. Do yourself a favor and reserve a room for your next stay in the Eternal City. Hotel HORTI 14 will not disappoint!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel as our first stop on our honeymoon. The staff was amazingly welcoming, helpful and gave us great tips for dinner. Do you need help with a dinner reservation? No problem, they’ve got you covered. Stepping into this beautiful quiet place in such a busy city is a true highlight for me. After a long and exhausting day you just know that you’ll be welcomed by a peaceful little oasis (during the evenings also by the cutest “guard cat”). The room was spacious and felt very private. The water pressure in the shower was amazing and everything was very clean. You can always refill you water in the lobby for free and also enjoy a nice chill time with some drinks from the bar. The breakfast was also a delight, with plenty of choice for everyone and super friendly staff. Thank you for an amazing stay and we can only recommend this gem!

This hotel is spectacular! The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast spread was incredible. Excellent location and in easy walking distance to all the major sightseeing spots and restaurants in Trastevere. Plus Luna, the lobby cat, was a wonderful mascot to greet us. Definitely recommend staying here as your home base for exploring Rome!

If I knew how amazing this hotel was I would’ve stayed longer than one night. This is like a secret garden hideout in Rome. The property itself is absolutely stunning and the room was one of the largest and most comfortable I’ve ever had in Italy. The shower and bathtub are huge! The beds were also very clean and comfortable. It’s about a 10 min walk from local restaurants. Some of the sights in Rome are walking distance, others would be easy to reach by taxi. If you want somewhere quiet and out of the city center to stay this is perfect. The hotel staff are all friendly and professional. The breakfast offerings had a great variety of sweet and savory foods and the espresso is perfect. And there’s a cute cat that wanders around outside too.

Waking up to the beautiful scent of flowers and the lovely warm lights at night created a cozy atmosphere that made me want to stay in this place. The staff members were friendly and kind, and the breakfast was delightful, providing me with the energy I needed for a long day of walking ahead. We really enjoyed our stay at Horti 14. The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet part of Rome, perfectly located for exploring Trastevere and the surrounding areas. The room was a great size—modern, clean, and comfortable—and the shower was especially lovely after a long day of sightseeing.||||The staff were consistently helpful and pleasant, always on hand with a smile and happy to assist with anything we needed. A particular highlight was meeting the hotel’s resident tortoise—an unexpected and charming addition who was surprisingly friendly!||||Breakfast offered a wide range of options to suit all tastes, from pastries and fruit to eggs and bacon. The only downside was that the hot food wasn’t actually hot, which was a bit of a shame given how good the rest of the selection was.||||There were a few small drawbacks: the cleaning staff began work in the neighbouring rooms from 9am, which felt a bit early considering checkout is at 11am. When other guests closed their room doors, it caused our own door to bang loudly too, which was a little disruptive. Also, the lighting in the room was quite bright and not particularly relaxing—some softer options would have made winding down in the evening more comfortable.||||Overall though, a great place to stay in Rome. The location, helpful service, and stylish atmosphere more than make up for the minor issues. We’d happily return.

Dear Horti 14 Team and Melissa, What a truly memorable occasion my 50th birthday turned out to be, thanks to the opportunity to host it at your exquisite event space in the serene corner of Trastevere, overlooking the lush Botanical Gardens. From the very beginning, all the event arrangements with Melissa were exceptionally well-organized, professional, courteous, and impressively prompt in handling every query and response. The entire team made my family and guests feel incredibly special, and everyone was full of compliments about how unique and beautiful the space was, along with the food and service being exceptional. Thank you for the outstanding catering—the food was of the highest quality, so compliments to the chef are well deserved! Although none of our guests stayed in the hotel rooms, we absolutely loved the Instagram-worthy spaces that provided the perfect backdrop for stunning photos. The event was arranged in such a way that it did not disturb the hotel guests in any way, which we truly appreciated. If you're considering hosting an exclusive event—large or small—you will not regret choosing Horti 14. I can confidently say it will be as unforgettable for you as it was for me.
