Horti 14 Borgo Trastevere Hotel

"Why book? Horti 14 is a boutique hotel in the middle of trendy Trastevere, and delivers on everything you want from a city stay: smart design, elegant rooms, and a tranquil garden for relaxing.  Set the scene. A design-forward hotel with good-looking public spaces, including colorful furnishings and industrial lights hanging from the ceiling. Young professionals tend to check in here for a stylish place to stay at a reasonable price.  The backstory The hotel is set up around the garden, designed to bring a sense of calm after a day exploring what can sometimes be a frenetic city.  The rooms Rooms are either superior or (the slightly bigger) deluxe, and are decked out in clean white lines, colorful cushions, and smooth marble tables. All of the rooms have desks, sofas for relaxing, and well-stocked minibars.  Food and drink Breakfast (croissants, coffees, yogurt, fruit) is served at the Terrazza restaurant, overlooking the garden. There’s also a popular cocktail bar, La Legnameria, offering aperitivo (cocktails and snacks) nightly. The neighborhood/area Trastevere’s one of Rome’s better known districts, and while it’s decidedly more tourist-filled than it once was, it still clings to its working-class roots with lively food markets and loud neighborhood trattorias. The service Experienced and eager to help you navigate Rome, as long as you ask." - Maresa Manara

We loved it. Fantastic service beautiful room, great bedding and guest supplies. Located perfectly for visiting all interesting places Rome has to offer. Only a 20 minute walk to the Vatican. Thanks once more to breakfast staff. Excellent service. Great variety of fresh products and also a la carte options. Loved it all the way. Thanks to the entire team Till next time.

Quiet, luxury hotel tucked away from the crowds and tourist. A bit of a walk but worth a little effort for a nice getaway from the city. The beautiful modern rooms were well designed to clearly contrast the tone of the city. As soon as you enter the gates to the hotel you can tell right away that it is unique and special. The bathtub fit two which we loved after a long day walking in the crowded city. The roof top where we had breakfast in the morning and wine at night was beautiful, spacious and surprisingly quiet, perfect for large parties or a wedding reception. If you’re staying in Rome this one is not to be missed.

We had the pleasure of spending two days in Rome at the Horti 14 Hotel. A great hotel in a magical and beautiful location. Kind and wonderful staff, full of ideas and insights about the city. Excellent breakfast, quiet hotel that allows for a good night's sleep, large and very comfortable rooms. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff is very nice and friendly, and having breakfast included in the rate is a nice convenience-it was a very big nice quality buffet, with the option to order eggs any style. |The rooms are a nice size. But I was disappointed with the hotel overall as the rooms lacked modern comforts and it was a bit far from everything. In terms of the rooms, the hotel should make the following updates to make them more comfortable:|—put a rug down so we are not walking on hard cold tile (they do provide slippers which helped)|—put some shelving or a basket in the shower to put your soap etc on something vs the floor|—while it is nice the hotel provided shampoo and soap, it smelled AWFUL. I couldn’t use it. Suggest they find a new brand.|—upgrade the towels. They are thin and scratchy|—provide extra blankets so people have them for cold nights||In terms of location, the hotel is an 8 minute walk from the edge of old trastavere center. So while it is very quiet (though the walls are thin so if your neighbors are loud, it is not quiet), you are a minimum 10 minute walk to everything, typically 20 if you are going into the center of town near the Pantheon.||Overall I would not stay here again, I would rather opt for a hotel that is more centrally located and that has more of the modern comforts.

A great place to stay in 40 degrees! When we got in from a long, hot day of sightseeing the Horti 14 Borgo felt like a hidden oasis in the heart of Trastevere. Our room had a poured concrete floor and very effective air conditioning, which was truly lovely. Unfortunately on the last morning of our stay there was no hot water so we had cold showers. Other than that, hotel was ideal.

Words can’t describe how happy we are with our choice of hosting our wedding here, nothing felt short of perfect. We had a destination wedding, and from the very first interaction, it felt like we were working with a trusted, long time partner, the communication was seamless, and every detail was handled with such professionalism and care. We would like to give a heartfelt shoutout to the entire team, from the servers, the cook team to the reception staff, and especially to (our fairy Godmother) ! Melissa !, she coordinated everything with such love, patience, and dedication, making us feel like family throughout the entire process (and after). Our guests can’t stop raving about how stunning the venue looked, how tasteful the décor was, and how delicious the food turned out, it truly exceeded every expectation and created memories we will treasure forever. We are beyond happy with our experience, and we can’t wait to return many more times to celebrate our wedding anniversaries in the years to come. 💕 We truly love you, Horti, thank you for being such an important part of the start of our forever

Very poor communication. Upon checking in to our room, there were several problems, including a non-draining sink, a bathroom door that wouldn’t latch, and an unclean bathroom floor. We were subsequently moved to Room 14, where the in-room phone was not functioning. I asked management 3 times before leaving the property what could be done to make things right, since this was a lot of issues to encounter during a 1 night stay and took precious time away from our trip. After 3 in person requests for responses + 3 emails, the hotel has still not responded. This is very unprofessional. The property itself was very underwhelming. Would not return nor recommend.

Beautiful remodeled hotel within a short walk to the main Trastevere area. Breakfast was really good and the room we were in was very spacious. No traffic noise or pedestrian traffic to keep you up at night either
