HortPark has been around for more than a decade, and I’ve been coming here for many years — sometimes with family, sometimes for team-building activities, and sometimes just to enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants. It’s one of those places that quietly grows on you over time What I love most is how versatile it is. The wide open lawns are perfect for kids to run around, the themed gardens are thoughtfully curated, and there are plenty of charming corners — from gazebos to shaded benches — where you can simply sit and relax. The greenery feels mature and well-established, giving the park a calm, lived-in character that newer parks sometimes lack I’ve had meaningful team bonding sessions here, casual weekend strolls with family, and peaceful afternoons just soaking in the surroundings. It’s also conveniently connected to other green spaces, making it a great starting or ending point for a longer walk The best time to visit is when the weather is kind — not too hot and not rainy. On breezy mornings or gentle late afternoons, HortPark truly shines. The combination of open lawns, beautiful landscaping, art features and dining options makes it a wonderful place to spend quality family time

HortPark is a hidden gem that is perfectly connected to Kent Ridge Park and the Alexandra Arch, making it a great spot for a scenic walk. The park is very well-equipped with a multi-purpose hall and several playgrounds that kids will love. For parents traveling with young children, there is a dedicated privacy room, which is a thoughtful and convenient touch. If you are looking for a bite to eat, there are 2 or 3 restaurants on-site, including Canopy and Vineyard. Things to note: • The Best Part: They have water coolers throughout the park, and the water is always refreshingly cold—exactly what you need in the heat! • Transport: There is a bus stop right outside the park entrance. nearest MRt is Labrador park MRT. • Parking: On-site parking is available but is chargeable. Highly recommend this park for families and hikers!

Always an enjoyable stop for a Saturday morning outing with family. Young kids were fascinated with how the terrapins climbed out from the pond to get a bit of sunbathing. Good opportunity for being close to and learning about nature.

This Park is both a park and a horticultural test bed centre. It has much to offer to visitors and it connected to the sort of nearby famous Henderson Waves via the Alexandra Arch Bridge and Forest Walk in that order.

As part of the Southern Ridges, HortPark is a beautifully maintained gardening hub, perfect for nature lovers, walkers, and anyone seeking a peaceful escape. As part of the Southern Ridges. It features well-landscaped gardens and a tranquil atmosphere that many visitors appreciate. One of the highlights for me is the Silver Garden, where striking white and silver plants create a uniquely serene and picturesque setting. Love taking peaceful walks from Kent Ridge Park to HortPark and back—a refreshing route that’s perfect for light exercise. The well-paved trails, lush greenery, and quiet surroundings make it an ideal place to unwind, especially in the morning or evening. Highly recommended for nature walks, garden enthusiasts, and anyone exploring the Southern Ridges!

A beautiful place to walk around. Took 2 hours and the trail goes up and down so gave me a some tiredness like after the exercise. It is really great to drop by restaurants at faber point that refreshing myself and boosting up with good appetite in a great scenery.

Visited HortPark on a Sunday evening—peaceful and relaxing with a lovely sunset. Great spot for a walk and to unwind after a long week.

HortPark, a beautifully maintained "Gardening Hub." I really enjoyed exploring and getting lost in the mesmerizing beauty and variety of themed gardens. It’s a wonderful place to stroll around with family, offering plenty of nature education for both adults and kids.

A great place to spend exploring on the weekends, Hort Park has a huge connection of elevated bridges and path ways that take you through nature. It is best to go on a Sunny day and get nice tan at the same time. Be sure to bring some bottled water or snacks as there are no stalls along the trail and bring an umbrella just in case. The sun can be shining brightly and it could be raining at the same time, that is how unpredictable the weather is in Singapore. The trail is a number of kilometers long depending on which path you take. The suspended bridges are probably the most breath taking and gives you a nice overview of the lush greenery below! Be safe and don't feed the monkeys!

Came here when I was looking around for the perfect garden wedding venue, so I'm going to give my perspective based on that for those who are looking to do the same. I do love the air-conditioned hall venue, just a floor down from the visitor entrance. There is a nice wooden spiral staircase that leads you down, makes for a dramatic wedding entrance. The hall is spacious inside a transparent glass window and just outside there is a huge space of green grass bordered by some steps ahead. This area you could leave open or put up tentage and host more guests or have your wedding here instead of the air-conditioned hall. There's also lots of space outside the hall for the buffet table and a nice pond just beside. The accessability to the park is not so bad, there is a bus stop outside, it takes perhaps a 5-minute walk in. I didn't choose Hortpark as my eventual wedding venue because mainly if you book the venue, you have to use their list of caterers and there aren't that many choices if you're looking to have a traditional malay wedding menu. So sadly, had to strike it off my list! The other downside is that the wedding venue is pretty separate from the park, your guest could come to your wedding without even seeing the park. I'd much prefer something that integrates the park with your event venue. But otherwise, it's a lovely stroll of an eclectic mix of gardens that is refreshing and I believe very fun for the kids because there's something different at every corner!

The ambient and service were great. However felt short changed when we ordered a bottle of 2010 chianti but they brought a 2011. We would be ok if the server actually informed us about the vintage. Food no good especially the tofu tower. Over salted fries.

Looking for a place to spend with your friends or loved ones? Look no further. Hort Park is the gateway to the horticultral world in Singapore. Smack right between Telok Blangah Hill Park and Kent Ridge Park, coming here offers you the best of both worlds. The visitor centre is fairly modern, and there are a couple of water fountains littered over the park so you don't have to worry about dehydration. If you're concerned about bringing elderly people here, most of the path is fairly flat and accessible so don't worry about those walkers and wheelchairs. I love Hort Park, and you will too.

If you have green thumbs and / or love butterflies and birds, you'll love Hort Park. With abundant gardening tips and much greenery, this place is a haven for both gardeners and the public alike. It's almost like a mini Botanic Gardens! While exploring the park, we chanced upon a "dancing plant". Dancing plant? Can it really dance? We put it to the test and played a song from my mobile phone. It worked. Small needle-like young leaves actually moved to the music. Incredible! There are 20 different mini themed gardens in the park. I liked the Silver Garden best. It's located at the entrance of Hort Park's main building. I imagine the silver foliage will look magical and mysterious at night. While there are water coolers around the premises, there is no food (save for a Thai restaurant) in Hort Park. If you plan to visit, remember to bring water bottles, some food, sunblock and an umbrella. There are also very few signages around, so do ask the staff for maps before you start exploring Hort Park yourselves.
