Our group shared a flight of scotch eggs, the truffle mushrooms on toast and some of the beef sandwichs with both soup and the chips.
The scotch eggs were amazing, with perfectly soft boiled eggs inside. The favourite was the black pudding but the variety in flavours was enjoyable.
Mushroom on toast went down well and so did the beef sandwichs. Horseradish in the sandwichs could have had a bit more of a kick to it, but still delicious and spice level is dependent on people's taste.
Never had chips like these before and they were delicious. Was hesitant at first considering how thick they were, but they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle.
Soup was carrot and coriander. It had plenty of flavour and complimented the beef sandwichs nicely.
Great atmosphere, the Art Deco aesthetic suited the place well. Friendly staff who were very helpful and catering.
