Booked a 2 night B&B stay that included a lunch or dinner to the value of £30 on their autumn weekend break deal. The room was comfortable enough, although there were a few small issues which were relayed to the management. Breakfast on both mornings was superb, cooked to perfection. The dinner was another matter..my starter of mushrooms on toast was lovely, however the main course was burnt and dry. I sent back the black Yorkshire pudding, the roast potatoes were solid and the veg roast was totally inedible. James (if I remember correctly his name) was most apologetic but had no explanation.

Our group shared a flight of scotch eggs, the truffle mushrooms on toast and some of the beef sandwichs with both soup and the chips. The scotch eggs were amazing, with perfectly soft boiled eggs inside. The favourite was the black pudding but the variety in flavours was enjoyable. Mushroom on toast went down well and so did the beef sandwichs. Horseradish in the sandwichs could have had a bit more of a kick to it, but still delicious and spice level is dependent on people's taste. Never had chips like these before and they were delicious. Was hesitant at first considering how thick they were, but they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Soup was carrot and coriander. It had plenty of flavour and complimented the beef sandwichs nicely. Great atmosphere, the Art Deco aesthetic suited the place well. Friendly staff who were very helpful and catering.

Really really enjoyed an amazing roast here. Food was absolutely amazing both vegetarian and meat. Was a welcome Sunday treat in a very lovely bar. Would recommend highly

Incredible Sunday roast, I'll say! My party of five ate outside and enjoyed the pedestrian only street's atmosphere and vibe. The food was delicious and the pints were tall.

I'm a big fan of youngs pubs and Horts has always been our go to in Bristol. This time I thought it could have been better. I ordered a pink processo from the menu which is my wife's favourite only to be told they have changed it! Well update your menus then. The processo they had changed to was flat so I returned it however they seemed reluctant to belive me and then told me they had no more so swapped to a white processo. Bit frustrating. We ordered the beef short rib which I have to say was superb and very enjoyable. I then orederd a sticky toffee pudding which was dry not sticky and throughly disappointing. I should have returned it. Come on Horts sort yourself out you can do much better than this. You should be ashamed to serve that as a pudding particularly after the main was so good. Remove it from you menu its awful. I shall return to Horts for sure and I still recommend it. Its a great place but needs some customer focus and better puddings.

Stayed for my wife's birthday. The staff were amazing, decorating the room and really making it feel special. The room itself was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Comfortable bed, amazing shower and a room stocked with everything you need. if you are staying in Bristol I couldn't recommend this place more.
