"In the eastern corner of the Algarve, where wide empty beaches run down to warm seas, Hospedaria is framed by rolling fields flecked with wild flowers. A century ago, this was a post office and general store, and an inn where locals gathered and danced, but last year it was transformed by two energetic romantics, Rui Liberato de Sousa and Nuno Ramos, alongside Lisbon architects Atelier Rua. They preserved the bar’s period tiles, adding neon lighting to illuminate glinting bottles. They carved out a sitting and dining room, both with high wicker-lined Algarvian ceilings and filled with old portraits and contemporary photographs. Beyond, in the lavender-scented garden, water trickles into the pool in the still summer heat as guests spill out into private leafy enclaves. And everywhere a feeling of luxurious timelessness, radiating beneath that blazing Portuguese sun."
We had a wonderful stay at Hospedaria da Pensão Agrícola. I surprised my wife with a stay for her birthday, we were offered a birthday package which was really nice. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with lots of nice vintage furniture. The food was amazing, lots of local ingredients and very tasty meals. The location is excellent. It's very quiet but only takes a few minutes to drive into town. Finally the staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and unique, the thought and detail invested in this small hotel is superb. Staff are genuinely delightful, food is excellent- recommend having dinner here at least one evening. Simple to Uber into Tavira. Our room, with a sitting room and gorgeous private garden was lovely.

Our stay at this hotel was truly a moment of disconnection and an invitation to embrace the slow life. The decoration is tasteful and thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Francisco’s hospitality was exceptional, making us feel welcome from the very first moment. Communication was seamless, and every detail was taken care of with great attention.
Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, with fresh and delicious ingredients that made our experience even more special. If you are planning to visit the Algarve, we highly recommend staying here for an unforgettable experience!
Merci encore Francisco !

Laidback luxury; calm and serene. Heated pool: just great. The design aesthetic is superbly engineered and beautifully Portuguese. Located close to Tavira, Cabanas and Santa Luzia for beautiful beaches and truly excellent seafood restaurants. Land at Faro and head east!

Lovely stay!
We stayed in the Figueira room, named after the fig tree in our patio — even the scents were fig-themed! Loved the thoughtful touch of dried figs as a goodbye gift. Breakfast was tasty and beautifully presented. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful thoughtful boutique hotel in a peaceful setting. Would love to come back! The staff were great and super friendly. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the beautiful outdoor dining setup and loved the home cooked dinner! Definitely a must. The decor is beautiful and I loved that they had fresh flowers everywhere, making it feel like I was at home. The rooms are super spacious and comfortable. Bathroom included all toiletries including a delicious perfume available for purchase. They also included an umbrella for the beach which was a really nice touch.
A recommendation for the owners, lighting in the bedrooms needs to be improved. The room was very dark and so was the bathroom. I like to read before bedtime and the lamps were really dim making it hard on my eyes. Adding lighting inside the closet is probably a good idea as it was hard to see at night with such poor lighting in the room.
Also, love the idea of the honesty bar, however, the prices were high for Portugal and considering one is making their own cocktails prices felt unreasonable. This discouraged us from ordering or consuming anything and we preferred to go into town for drinks and lunch. Overall it was an excellent experience, we absolutely loved the hotel. We did feel the nightly rate was on the higher side for the area and amenities offered.

Fantastic small property but what really makes this place is the staff - they are all so friendly and gave it a real homely feel. Despite being off the beaten track it is easy to get around the local area by Uber. Obrigado to all.
