Horrible experience. We had a reservation and we arrived at 20.15 but the receptionist refused to check us in (check in was till 20, according to their policy). She was very rude and unwelcoming, she even didn't gave us the money back, when the solution was just to leave somewhere the key of the apartment to let us in. But instead she preferred to leave her clients with no accomodation in Tarifa at 20.30. As a client, I have never been treated in this way. Stay away from this place and from the receptionist at all costs.

For me, this hotel was perfect. Staff were friendly and our room was cleaned well every day. Rooms are big, nothing fancy but the beds are very comfortable. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the port, 5 min walk to the old center. It's located a bit outside of "the action" which is great if you are in for a quiet neighbourhood , not so if you're into partying all night long (trust me, the walk back, uphill, might be tough after a night of drinking). I would defenitly go back here next time because of the rooms, location and staff. Their breakfast however is a bit minimal, they could improve on that.

I decided to pay a little extra to get a suite in this hotel with a terrace. Glad I did, lovely room, large terrace and still at a very reasonable price. It's just a short walk into the town centre which I thought was brilliant - I have read reviews where people commented that they stayed in the centre and suffered with the noise levels at night. This hotel was so quiet, it was amazing. The room was clean, decorated in theme with the suite's name - Paris - and done well. The shower was great, even had a fridge. The self service breakfast included with the price is brilliant. The staff are friendly - but please remember the reception closes between 14.00 and 17.00 - but if you need to check in between those hours, just let them know and they'll be there to meet you. Will be going back and am really pleased I found them.

Very nice hotel, well maintained. Clean. Nice room. Very silent. The room was very nice. The conditions and utilities were very good and useful. Comfortable. Close to city center. At about 10 minutes walk. Very beautiful town. Is the town were the ocean meets the sea. The only thing I didnt appreciate was that they asked us to call half hour before arriving. We thought he comes from another place for our check in. We couldnt estimate and had a huge storm when we was near. We called when we arrived and we stayed outside waiting for the time pass while he was inside. Besides that everything was perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed in one of the 2nd floor suites (Cancun), which was nice, good space, nice little outdoor courtyard. Sara is Great, thank you Sara! She helped me with multiple needs, reservations, including a day-tour to Tangiers. It is staff like her who can really make staying at a place more enjoyable. ||||Hotel is in a quiet neighborhood about 10 min. nice (and safe) walk from downtown/Old Town, which is great. Good parking on the street if you have a car. Good wifi. Breakfast included...very basic European options (few sliced meats, cheese, bread/toast), nothing fancy, but ok, and the staff works to make sure you have what you need. Good coffee machine. Juice, milk, cereal, yogurt.||||This is a small and personal place, and I liked it quite a bit, think you'll find it a good value and choice in Tarifa.

We booked a suite at Almundo on booking.com. We asked for two separate beds since one of us cant sleep at all if sharing. To our disappointment, there was no suite available with separate beds, however, the staff was very helpful and did all to help us with this, and after two nights, we could move into a larger room that was for 4 people just so we could have separate beds. ||The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The AC had a quiet mode and the wifi worked great. There was complimentary coffee and tea downstairs, and a fridge in the rooms so we could make our own (cold) breakfast (there are no cafes nearby and the hotel does not offer breakfast, nor is it possible to cook anything). The best thing was that it was very easy to park the car nearby, something that would not be easy had we lived closer to city centre. And the terraces were very nice. (We stayed in Cancun and New York).

We stayed here, in the Tokyo themed rooms, for a night to experience the nightlife in Tarifa and we couldn't have chosen better. Easy to find, plenty of free parking, friendly reception, very nice room which could sleep 6 in 2 separate rooms joined by a large balcony, clean, close to the old town and the beach (10 minute stroll) and very reasonably priced for the height of summer. Tarifa has a lovely (if windy) long beach and the old town comes alive at night, maybe not for everyone but we really enjoyed the atmosphere. All in all very happy and would recommend.

My Wife said she did not want to stay in a hostel with such an aggressive receptionist. We booked through booking.com so we phone them to express are feelings and he said he would call the hostel and phone us back, he did this and agreed the member of staff was very very rude. So we said ok you now understand what can you do for us. And the answer was nothing, booking.com had given them our credit card details and the hostel charged us. I had no choice but to try and find another hotel on a bank holiday weekend and also my wifes birthday. We manage to find a wonderful last room left hotel La Casa de la Favorita, wonderful staff and a lovely reception. So in total for a one night stay this cost us 190 euros. We had a great weekend and the Italian reception did not spoil it but he tried his very best. I would not recommended this hostel if this man is the owner. We did not get passed reception and im sure the rooms where very good looking at reviews, but after being insulted we where not refunded so if this man is not the owner then the owners have also let us down without a refund. Awful experience.
