I loved it here, rooms spotless and quiet, good bed, good shower, nuns friendly, dinner excellent, lovely wine, I would highly recommend and I will return, best place I stayed in on my camino journey, nice garden at the side too, very relaxing

We visited the Cistercian Chapel and learned that the nuns had a hotel nearby which helps to fund the convent and keep the buildings in good order. Lunch is served at 2.15 and you can book in advance. We were ushered into a quiet refectory simply decorated and laid for lunch. We had a very tasty 3 course lunch with a choice of meat for main course. Water and a bottle of wine under the hotel's own label were included with the food all for a modest price of 14 euro each. This was all cooked and served by the nuns. Overall, a very nice experience and all in a good cause. The nuns also sell their own small sweet cakes which we would recommend.

Took a break from bunk beds and got a single room with linen and private bathroom in the convent. Was clean and quiet. Good hot showers. Good breakfast / skipped dinner was too late. Nuns were v. friendly, most interesting place. Highly recommend.

A really nice hotel, basic but clean with everything y need.Water nice and hot. No air conditioning, we just left the window open. Breakfast continental style was quite adequate with good coffee. Nuns very cheerful, even spoke some English

Immaculately clean. Eerily quiet. Residents being quiet so as not to be disciplined by the nuns? Nice but cramped quarters with a small bed and bathroom. Good location a few hundred yards from the cathedral. Institutional feel but OK for a short stay.

Great value in the heart of Santa Domingo. Excellent parking. Really clean room. Very typically Spanish. Can’t fault it for the price and location. We are not sure but it also seems to double up as a residential home for older people. For a truly Spanish experience in Santo Domingo we highly recommend

The food is amazing. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. The atmosphere is historical and the nuns are so sweet. We loved it!

Rooms are very small with two twin beds and an even smaller bathroom. It's a modern building with a very institutional feel like a nursing/care home - which is what it is. Seems to be mainly populated by a lot of old nuns who give you the sense that you are invading their space - which we were but then again, it's the church's choice if they want to make money. The guy on reception when we first arrived didn't seem to know what he was doing. Perhaps a volunteer. The lady who was on reception next morning for check out was rather surly. The breakfast was awful - the worst one we had in Spain. Bad instant coffee and very bad baguettes. The price was OK but there must be better places to stay.
