Hospederia De Los Parajes

I truly enjoyed our stay at Hospedería de los Parajes! The room was charming and spacious, the breakfast excellent, and the staff exceptionally kind. While exploring the Rioja area by bike, I lost my wallet — and the wonderful team at the hotel drove several kilometres to collect it and return it safely. We didn't stay at the hotel but decided to try its restaurant for dinner. Since the outdoor tables were full, we headed inside and were invited to have a drink at their bar, located two stories below ground. That's where the real surprise awaited us. The bar was stunning, featuring multiple rooms carved directly into the subterranean stone—a truly unique and atmospheric setting. What made our evening truly unforgettable, however, was meeting Sonia. She greeted us with a warm smile and provided exceptional assistance throughout our time there. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we lost track of time, and by the time we realized, the restaurant had closed. No problem—we ended up savoring an amazing burger right there in the bar instead. This spot is absolutely worth a visit for the incredible ambiance and the wonderful service from Sonia. It turned out to be our best night in the city!

We had a fantastic stay at Hospedería de los Parajes. During a cycling trip exploring the Rioja region, my wife lost her wallet with our room key and money inside. A kind local woman found it and called the hotel — and the amazing staff immediately drove out to pick it up for us. That kind of care and service is truly rare. The hotel is beautiful — large, elegant rooms, great breakfast, and a perfect base for exploring Rioja’s vineyards and small historic towns. This hotel is truly the perfect home base for exploring the Rioja region. It's located in a charming hilltop town filled with dining options and historical landmarks, making it a delightful place to stroll and explore.||The hotel itself is exceptionally comfortable. Our Superior Room was spacious, featuring a separate toilet and bathroom, a large walk-in closet, and ample drawers and cupboards—ideal for settling in for a few days. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the rain shower and hand wand had perfect water pressure, the towels were soft, and even the hairdryer was excellent! There is even a central covered courtyard with comfortable sofas to relax upon.||The on-site restaurant was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast included a small but high-quality buffet, with the option to order eggs or an omelet cooked to order.||We were especially glad to have four nights here. One note for future guests: we initially reserved the large room shown in the photos with a balcony. While beautiful, it only had a large jacuzzi tub with a handheld wand—no shower—which didn’t work for my husband. Fortunately, we were given another spacious and comfortable Superior Room that suited us perfectly. Rooms toward the back of the hotel were particularly quiet.

If you are staying in Laguardia then Hotel Hospederia de los Parajes is probably your best bet. The reason for marking it down to 3 stars is that the chef(s) put masses of salt on any cooked meal - whether that was eggs for breakfast or our dinner - which really detracted from the experience. Other than that, the hotel has a great location on the main square and the rooms are comfortable (although rather dimly lit)|Laguardia is an interesting walled town and is in walking distance to a number of vineyards that do great tours (we chose Campillo) and has some great hiking nearby.

Recent 4 night stay. Our superior room was spacious with plenty of room to unpack and hang our clothes. The bed was large and very comfortable. The large walk in shower was great, plenty of hot water. Towels were changed daily and the room was extremely clean and beautifully furnished.|We ate in the restaurant twice. The quality and choice was very good and great value. The waiters were friendly and helpful, suggesting local wines to accompany the dishes.|The breakfast offered a wide choice to suite most tastes. One of our group is coeliac and every morning there was gluten free bread available.|A free drink and pintxo in the cave below the hotel on our arrival was a great welcome.|In summary, a family run, extremely friendly place to spend a few days. Highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful hotel, we had lovely rooms, spacious, very comfortable beds and a great rain shower. All the staff in the hotel were friendly and efficient. We felt at home here. The breakfasts were great, with fruit, yogurt and lovely egg choices- scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked. We had 2 evening meals at the hotel, service was great, food delicious and really good wine selections. A great central location but inside so peaceful
