This is a wonderful and absolutely gorgeous hotel. It used to be a monastery, so it's centuries old with a lot of charm. The staff is extremely professional, kind, and go out of their way to assist and make you comfortable.

It's not very often you get to stay in a hotel that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Simply put, the Hospederia is a little dated but beautiful, and gives an authentic experience of what it would be like to live in the monastery hundreds of years ago. Waking up on a spring morning to the fresh air and doves cooing with the beautiful traditional Spanish architecture is a great experience, and one that brings me back to my childhood in New Mexico.

Great place to stay. What to expect:|1 Huge room with a large ensuite bathroom.|2. Second bedroom Our room on the second floor has twin beds and a double in another room.|3. Great dinner. We had the €23 set menu. Large portions and excellent service.|4. The fact that you are sleeping in a UNESCo Heritage Site.|5. Great breakfast included.

It was such a nice experience and surprise to be hosted in a monastery, the staff is very friendly and educated. The view it’s extremely warm, giving you the sensation that you are living on a castle, bringing you a medieval vibe. Not to much crowded but located near to the center of activities such as restaurants and disco.

Delicious food, an absolutely magical location, even for the secular. The monastery and basilica are an absolute treasure in the heart of Extremadura. A must see. Perfect food and wine, desserts to die for.

The Hospederia Real Monasterio is located as the name say in the monastery of de Saint Mother of Guadalupe. A direct access to the place of pilgrimage from the reception through the cloister is possible and saves you the wait to access to the holy place. It is worth mentioning that Columbus made his first pilgrimage to the monastery of Guadalupe after the discovery of America.||The hotel offers 47 simple, spacious, clean rooms with a sober comfort. The equipment fits the decor of the monastery. The room and the bathroom are very clean. ||The breakfast was plentiful and good. The dinner, however, left open some desires. On the forecourt of the Church are many restaurants which are in quality and price comparable to the restaurant of the hotel. ||The charm to stay in a building that is declared a world heritage site, makes to forget small inconveniences such as no Internet access in the rooms. However, WIFI reception is good in the courtyard. The rates are much cheaper compared to those of a Parador. Measured at the historical place and the good price/performance ratio, this hotel only classified 2-star is an attraction. I'm not shy here to give the best note and to turn a blind eye on the small irregularities.

What a charming historical place. Forget only 2 stars this is a must stay, peaceful old monetary with plenty of character. Ok no wifi in rooms but that's no big deal. Staff all very helpful. Relax in the cloisters for a game of cards & drinks. Rooms spacious and authentically decorated. Visited with friends after staying in Caceres and all of us loved this place. Parking outside, follow the signs, easy to find. Take a stroll round the town, some interesting village houses to see and the Basilica very large and impressive in a small village. Would highly recommend.

No WiFi in rooms. No restaurant service until 9pm. Kept waiting for 15 minutes before we could even check in, pompous man on reception continued a long winded conversation and totally ignored us although he could see us waiting, just plain rude. Poor breakfast, mostly cold: if you want coffee good luck; just hope the lady with coffee jug will come out of the kitchen once every 20 mins! We managed to get one cup of coffee and no more! The place seems to be run for the convenience of certain staff not that of the guests. If you want luxury stay at the Parador next door, if you want cheaper there are plenty of better hotels in Guadalupe.
