This 'hospedería' of Extremadura sits directly in town, and was renovated in March of 2015. We stayed here for three nights for some rest and relaxation. It has a very interesting mix of old and new architecture, which we quite enjoyed. Most of the staff were a delight and went above and beyond for service. The property itself is clean and has all the modern finishes with some rustic charm in the old flooring and beamed ceilings. It's actually quite cool. While there is no private parking, there is ample, free street parking outside the hotel and it's not a problem. The pool area is nice as well, and has a killer view of the surrounding mountains. The only drawbacks here are the less than consistent Wi-Fi (slow, fast, in, out, etc.) which drove us a bit crazy. They should definitely look into that as one expects reliable and fast Wi-Fi nowadays, especially in a 4-star establishment. And, the restaurant, while nice, overplays its hand a bit as we had better (and cheaper) meals in town. There's a cafe as well, open all day, but the terrace was never open, despite the sunny days, which was a shame in the middle of summer. There is ample A/C in the rooms. We also had a fridge, but I have no idea if that's standard as we had the junior suite. Breakfast had an abundance of goods from eggs to pastries, breads, fruites, embutidos and more. And, unlimited coffee options as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we'd stay here again if we came back to the Valle del Jerte.
