We reserved based on the pictures and paid for two nights. The rooms are not as depicted, they are small and old and dark the building has a musky smell. To enter the building people have to go up a flight of stairs. It is a hostel not a hotel. The receptionist Marina was outstanding and really went above and beyond to help us. She offered us other rooms but they were all the same. The management refused to give us any refund and we lost payment for both nights.

I had a great stay at Hospedium Plaza Mayor. The rooms are nice and you cannot beat the location!!! The staff were incredibly friendly and assisted me to and from the nearby secure parking area.

Perfect location in the centre for exploring the city. Friendly welcome. Nothing spectacular but a comfortable room with everything we needed. Blackout blinds and soundproofing for a very good night's sleep despite it being fiesta time. Simple shower with complimentary shampoo and shower gel, hairdryer provided, TV, comfortable beds, air conditioning, fresh towels and beds made each morning. Bars, cafes and places for breakfast just downstairs, outside. Easy walking distance to everything. Lift and stairs.

Excelente hotel, nearby to all main attractions, sparkling, quiet, next to bakery, and everything you need.

I recently spent two nights at this hotel.||||It's well located, literally a one minute walk from the grand central square. And close to everything else you may want to see in the old city centre.||||I was greeted by the owner who was super friendly and welcoming. I spoke Spanish but he told me that he could speak English.||||I had a single room on the 4th floor, back side of the building. I would have maybe gone for a double front facing but it was the weekend and this was all that was available. The room was small but ok for me. There was a balcony facing a big interior area behind neighbouring buildings. I would have sat out there if it wasn't so cold at the time of my visit. The room was well heated. 4th floor wifi didn't work (I informed the owner of this) but I could pick up a weak signal from the floor below.||||There's no breakfast included but there are plenty of options nearby. Cafes, bakeries and restaurants. There are also a couple of sets of tables and chairs in reception where you can sit and could bring your take away food.||||To sum up, it's not particularly fancy but you're not visiting this impressive city in order to sit in your room. For me, the approach of the friendly owner/manager really made a difference to my stay.

I loved the room they gave me, it was on the top floor, super quiet, with air conditioning, private bathroom and a small terrace! It was ideal for me travelling solo. |The staff were really friendly and everything was very clean. The location of course, right at plaza mayor was a great plus and the price, maybe because of special prices due to covid circumstances, was excellent, 2 nights for a total of 61€. I was really happy with my choice.

This hostal went over my expectations. Nice welcoming at the reception, very cozy and clean. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom not too big but enough to take a nice shower. They offer a simple breakfast for 3 euros and also drinks are available from the reception. |This hostal is practically few steps from Plaza Mayor. More centric it can t be. |Highly recommended

This place is such a find - outside, it looks like a hostel, but inside it has lovely, good quality accommodation. The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated and had very comfortable beds with good quality linen. The location is perfect, just off the Plaza Mayor, and the place has character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I notice that other reviews talk of a "basic" hotel - this place is several notches above basic (or maybe I have just been to some really basic places on my travels). I can only think they relate to the lack of public areas - there is no lobby or dining room as such. Once we were in our room, it felt as if we were in a much more expensive hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.
