Very dated rooms. Paint peeling off everywhere. I had a room facing the pool but could not see out of the windows due to the build up of dirt on the outside. I was only able to partially open one window, the other was jammed shut with years of neglect. Found lots of short curly hair all through the room, mostly in the bathroom, none of it was mine though... Reading other reviews it seems as though the recurring theme is the lack of ongoing maintenance. Breakfast is very basic, but nice to have. No microwave in the room. Bed was comfy, but the pillows very flat. Not the greatest and I wouldn't stay for more than a night.

I’m very happy with my stay here. My room is clean and everything works well. My dinner was pretty good. Receptionist and wait staff are lovely. This is not the Ritz - I don’t understand why there are so many negative comments here - you get way more than you pay for at this establishment. Thank you. PS Really appreciate the clean and comfy bed too.😊

Stayed at this place and honestly, I wasn’t prepared for how good it was. The rooms are massive – I briefly considered renting mine out on Airbnb while I was in it. The bed? So comfortable I’m convinced it was designed by NASA for stress-free re-entry. Slept like a baby who’d just done a marathon.||The pool is glorious – the kind of pool that makes you forget about all your life admin. I nearly applied for residency there with a lilo and a cocktail. Location is perfect too: close to everything, which is a polite way of saying you can roll out of bed and stumble into Carnarvon life without breaking a sweat.||But the highlight? The staff. Every single one of them friendly to a fault. Arthur, who cleaned our room, deserves his own TripAdvisor profile. The man worked with such dedication I was half-worried he’d polish me if I stood still too long. Honestly, if the Queen ever needed her crown dusted, Arthur’s the guy.||Breakfast was a full event – hot food, cold food, pastries, fruit. I treated it like an Olympic sport and left the table victorious (though slightly ashamed of how many hash browns I could balance on one plate).||In short: brilliant hotel, amazing staff, comfy beds, and a pool that makes you believe in holidays again. If you’re coming to Carnarvon and don’t stay here, Arthur will be personally disappointed in you – and trust me, you don’t want that.

One star less for an ill-maintained dysfunctional bathroom otherwise the hotel merits 5 stars. Comfortable room with an extra bed. Nice view on the greenery. Quiet location with the car nestled outside and not very motelly. The whole compound is cute despite no. 8 being next to the garbage collection with a cumbersome maneuver in the morning. The hotel is located away from the noisy in part techno riverfront and it merits a good seclusion star but...the bathroom

We stayed one night in a queen size room. Check in was quick and efficient. The room spacious and good size bathroom. Location is good, walking distance from some eateries. Breakfast was continental style and sufficient. It lacks atmosphere but it was perfect for the overnight stay.

Great location close to the fascine and not far from the main strip. Breakfast included is handy. Could have more options though. Overall good value for the price. Rooms are simple, not particularly spacious but fair. The carpet in our room was quite stained though and the bathrooms are very dated in style. The area behind the beds needs a good vacuum too. The restaurant is great. We enjoyed dinner there. Front desk staff pleasant and helpful. We have stayed here before and may do again. It's not the Ritz but it's not bad for Carnarvon.

We stayed here for 1 night in a normal twin room, it had blackout curtains and good wifi, good size room and full mirror, you can open windows for fresh air. It’s pretty basic, no frills and it works. The breakfast was very good, fresh fruit and hot stuff. But no barista coffee available.

Very disappointing all around, room was very well worn. Windows onto the pool absolutely filthy and mechanisms stuffed, toilet leaking onto the floor, paint peeling off ceiling in bathroom. 2 nights here, 2 to many and having been out all day, returning to an unserviced room! On checking at front desk told “it should have been”. 🤷 Maintenance and Management need a rocket! To be avoided!!
