Hostal Adriá Santa Ana

The rooms are quite dated and not thoroughly clean. The worst part is the very bad soundproofing. You can hear literally everything in the corridor and nearby rooms. Also there is no lift and stairs are at bad state so going up 3 floors is quite an effort. The location is very central and walking distance from most important sight seeing but the neighbourhood is very touristy especially at night full of clubs and bars and can feel dodgy. The staff was kind and helpful. Overall, I wouldn’t go again though.

we got a two-bed room with a bathroom that didn't have a lock on the door (which didn't bother us since we know when the other person is using it) and a view of the lively street. walls were a bit thinner than expected - we could hear other people's alarms, tvs, etc. at night the lively street was quite loud, which we weren't surprised about, and it didn't bother us because we filled our days with activities ourside the hotel and were super tired in the afternoons, but it can be bothersome for other people. tv channel and other activity options were great! the hotel has a great location - right in the heart of madrid, with everything in walking distance, lots of food places nearby too.

I spent 5 days here and it was fantastic! The staff are very polite and friendly and the room was cleaned daily! ||It’s an excellent location, only a couple minutes walk from everything so you don’t have to walk to far to get back.||The air con in the room was a life saver, everyday was 35-40 degrees when I was there so it was very convenient to pop back and cool down for a little while!||As for the bed it was very comfortable with the sheets being changed every 1-2 days so cannot complain. The shower was good, excellent water pressure which I was happy about and the Wi-Fi was very fast and reliable. ||Thank you for an excellent experience! I miss it already and can’t wait to come back 😁

Stayed here twice, the first time ten years ago. Location cannot be beaten, but if a light sleeper ask for a quiet room at the back. Rooms are cleaned daily. Check in at sister hotel a short walk away. On third floor, with uneven stairs, so not suitable for those with mobility problems. Asked reception for a kettle and they provided it the following day. Very good value for money considering you are in the very middle of a capital city. Fridge in room a nice extra.

We stayed in a family room for 4 at the hostel and it was excellent. The room was a good size, enough for my husband and I plus our two teenage boys. It was spotlessly clean, with loads of towels. Bedding was changed once during our 4 night stay. It was on the third floor and there is no lift, but it tells you this before booking so was fine for us. It is in an old building with more character than many new hotels.||||Reception is around the corner at the Hostel Adriano which was fine as we only needed it to check in and as we had evening flights we left our luggage there on our final day. ||||The location is fantastic! So many of the sights are within walking distance, in fact the only time we really used public transport was to go to the Bernabeu stadium. It was great that after a day of walking and sight seeing there was such a good selection of places to eat and drink right on the doorstep. We particularly enjoyed sitting on Plaza Santa Ana watching the world go by.||||Highly recommend.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room and bathroom are functional, with a comfy bed, a TV and the aircon. Internet is fast and reliable. The staff is friendly and very responsive in case of issues (e.g we missed some towels one day and after calling the reception, we received the towels almost immediatelly afterwards). What we enjoyed the most is definitely the central location and the quick access to everywhere by foot in Madrid. I found it a bit odd to check-in at another hostal, but it was not such a big deal since that one had a lift and was very close by. Please note the stairs can be tricky as they are old and unequal, but overall it went all fine.

Amazing location, in heart of the old town with lots of restaurants and super markets near by, everything in walking distance: museums, Christmas market in plaza mayor, all you would want and need. We find the hostel quite easily with google and had no issues checking in. We also could leave our luggage after check out for a few hours as reception is open until mid night. 3rd floor and no elevator but it was manageable. Room neat and clean, bathroom small but had everything you would need.||||Noisy, but not from outside, from neighboring room. Walls quite thin as I was startled first morning by an alarm which sounded just like mine so I was grabbing for my phone desperately to turn it off not to wake my partner, and I was very confused as I knew for sure I had turned it off before our vacation aand surprise it was the neighbors alarm going off at 7 am. No heating, which I understand is typical for Spain. We had an air conditioning but it did not manage to heat the room enough. Also it was only slightly warm in the room when it was turned on, when it was off it was cold again. We could not sleep with it on as it was noisy and also facing the bed so you could not breath with it on, laying in bed. If you're not comfortable with chili rooms I don't recommend it. It was extremely unpleasant for us, especially in the night time

We visited Madrid in November and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is on the fourth floor of an old building. There is no elevator and if you have an heavy suitcase, it will be hard for you to carry it. There is no reception in the building. The company has another hotel about 50-60 meters distance. First of all learn the place of it because you should make registration there and take the key and card of your hotel and room. The room and the bath were large enough and clean. They cleaned the room everyday. They were really comfortable. The location was perfect. The price was also good.
