This is a 5* hotel just pretending to be 2*! Such a lovely little find in the heart Guadalupe. Comfy beds, comfy pillows, central heating for winter and separate AC for summer, small balcony with mountain view's, treats every day, gallons of hot water, small bath and over bath shower, guide book to the attractions, 30 seconds from the main plaza and cathedral. Guadalupe is worth a few days, especially if you like to walk in old towns and mountain scenery.

Very surprised by the quality of this place given what we paid! Lovely little place, very friendly staff, immaculately clean, free face masks and gel for guests. Tucked away just a minute from main square down a little side street in a beautiful old building. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had aircon and lovely en suite. Just wonderful, cannot recommend highly enough.

Perfect location near the main plaza beneath the monastery; attractive and well-appointed room with every amenity; tremendously helpful hostess who actually rode with me to find a parking place for our car. I can't imagine a more pleasant or convenient place to stay in Guadalupe.

We really enjoyed staying here though I will start by telling you that our double bed seemed pretty narrow to us. However the location is excellent - I suggest, if you are driving, that you stop and drop your luggage and a passenger in the main square. The hostel is approached from a corner opposite the Monasterio - through the Arco (arch) del Chorro Gordo and then left almost immediately by the Altamira. If you blindly follow your satnav like yt you may endure the same torture of very narrow streets in the medieval quarter and near misses to walls and the hostel. But the hostel itself, as repeated oftentimes here, is simple, adequate, good value and owned by a delightful family. They could not have been more friendly or accommodating. And I have brought back to the UK the sponge provided with the room toiletry set - toothbrushes, a razor etc, reminiscent of what is a 'normal' kit in a Japanese inn or hotel. Much appreciated y muchas gracias.

Excellent location and friendly host. Absolutely perfect but if I were to be very picky, the rooms are not sound proofed but this is to be expected for a traditional style building.

We travel with our spaniel so need a pet friendly hotel. Alba Taruta is one of the best little hotels we have stayed in - traditionally furnished, comfortable, welcoming including dog treats, lovely bathroom and toiletries and a tiny balcony to sit on and look at the mountains

We prefer a double bed, which wasn't available. But both beds were good. The bottle of wine lead us to the vineyard on our way south. I hope the hostess didn't have to pay too much for that advertisement. Also very good was the village tour suggestion in English. The only problem was the difficulty asking a more difficult question in Spanish, because comprehension of English is very limited.

Lovely small hotel right in the heart of the old town of Guadalupe. I've been traveling for 6 weeks through Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, and in terms of comfort, cleanliness, maintenance, design, and value this was my best stay.
