Hostal Alemana

A little Gem a few meters away from the beach. The value for money is incredible as the rooms are spacious with a common lounge which adds an extra layer of comfort. It is quiet, clean and simple

Really good location. Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes done the promenade to the old town. Rooms were nice and clean. Balcony with a sea view. Would stay here again

For us the hotel was great; it was close to the beach, walking distance to the old town, shopping street. Since we were with our daughter the location was really important for us. Also the hotel was kid friendly. They change the hand towels everyday, which is amazing. There was drinking water in the next room, also coffee machine. In that room you can work on your laptop, drink coffee and enjoy the view. I cant skip Alex’s help, he was smiling all the time, supported us with all of our questions and kept our luggages on the last day. Also, the gentleman who welcomed us on Sunday was also helpful, apologies i forgot his name 🙈, i only saw him on the first day. In short, we took what we required on this nice trip. Thanks a million 🤍

The room is comfortabile and clean, but not enough for the price we paid. We complain about the fact that : 1)No one was waiting for as at the annoucend arrival time, but we had to ask by phone, where and how to enter the room. 2)On the day of departure, there is no possibiliti to stvore luggage until departure to the airport. 3)And the biggest complaint is that the towels we found in the bathroom are changed only once in 7 days, which l have never experienced before.

We really enjoyed our first visit to San Sebastian, and the location and staff, especially Alex, really enhanced our experience! We were there for a soccer tournament, and Alex was so friendly and helpful in assisting us with arranging transportation to different towns and giving us local tips for things to do in San Sebastian...and gave us an amazing restaurant recommendation for our daughter's birthday dinner! Not to mention the hotel is located about one block from La Concha beach and walking distance from pretty much everywhere you want to go in town. We would love to return and will definitely book again at Alemana!

Just two blocks from the city beach means you have to pay accordingly. The room was OK, not very big. No view and a bad smell from the patio if you open the window, so we had the a/c on all the time. Bathroom also average. Breakfast good value for money and with a nice street view. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Garage underneath the Tryp hotel can be used for € 20 p/day. All in all, we were happy with this choice but the price was a bit high.

Arrived late by train from Madrid and so didn`t get to see much that night however the hostel was easy to find and the staff were very welcoming. Our room was ample and very clean. Breakfast was in a bright room and just what was needed as the weather unfortunately was against us. However loved the town and the Hostel. Would recommend

This is about location almost only. The hotel is average with good beds but a poor breakfast. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful and the hygienic standard good. But costing as much for only 2 stars, well, you have to make up your mind on how important the location is. On the images it looks like all rooms have balconies but the hotel occupies only a small portion of the building. I would compare prices and if this establishment comes out well of that comparison, by all means take it. No risk regretting.
