Love this hostel. It's in a cool alley with cafes and art galleries. The private rooms are huge and provide heaters. The roof top terrace has a great view and there are little common areas everywhere. The staff were all awesome and helpful. But yeah, like the other reviews say... don't touch the showers unless you want to cop a boot

Really enjoyed my time here. The reviews on the showers are true unfortunately they're either roasting or freezing. But, the hostel was clean, my room was quiet and spacious. Breakfast is different each day and whilst it's not mind blowing it's certainly better than the usual bread and jam of SA!|The location is perfect and the decor is adorable, really bright and welcoming. The reading room with beanbags is Lovely as is the rooftop terrace. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

|We stayed in Ananay hostel for 3 nights during our backpacking trip in S.A. On arrival we were greeted with a warm smile and friendly advice from Miguel. On check in we were given the option to choose our room(as all the rooms are different) We decided to stay in room number 1 which had a lovely little open balcony to the front of the hostel. The room was fantastic, bright and airy. The hostel provides heaters making the room cosy in the evenings (helpful during winter). Despite being at the front of the hostel over looking the main walkway we found the room to be very quiet and slept very well. The shower can be temperamental but provides hot water all day! We found this to be a luxury in S.A. ||Pros|Friendly staff who are happy to help and offer advice. |Safe location (walking distance of many delicious cafes and restaurants)|Clean, comfortable rooms and beds|Hot Shower with good water pressure ||Negatives |Non ||We really enjoyed our stay at Ananay hostel. Thank you Miguel for all your advice 😀

Very good hostel! Nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast - don't listen to the negative comments on here - you can't expect much more from a hostel!! Table service, hot drinks and the food varied on both days we were there (cereal and toast/egg and toast). Hot water showers (although be careful touching the shower head as my boyfriend got an electric shock - you'll understand when you see the exposed wiring..). Excellent location - la Paz is huge and there doesn't seem to be a central backpacker centre. The hostel is on a nice road and walkable to everything we wanted to go to!

We stayed here for 2 nights either side of our trip to the Salt Flats. The location is great, walking distance to the bus terminal and all major attractions. |The room was spacious and clean and whilst basic it massively exceeded our expectations given our budget! |We had to cancel our first night at very short notice due to riots blocking the route from Copacabana, we expected the hostel to still charge us but they didn't even tho it was only 2 hours notice. This was a really good gesture.|There is internet widely available in the hotel and lots of tourist information. |Only downside was the breakfast was very basic, bread and cold scrambled eggs however this was the case in a lot of places we visited in South America.

This was a fantastic location, with a great staff and clean rooms, but I give it an average for two reasons. The breakfast is non-existent, though the dining room is lovely and again the attentive and friendly a roll with jam and butter isn't what we were expecting. The other reason is the showers, it's only a matter of time till someone gets more than a shock. If you're going to stay here bring PPE (personal protection equipment) or make sure your travel insurance covers :)

Considering the low price for a room, this is definitely worth your money. The hostel is located in the most beautiful street in La Paz, a small closed for cars road with loads of museums. It has a cute patio and multiple rooms to just hang out while waiting for your next overnight bus. Only complaint would be that it’s very noisy, you can hear everything that goes on in other rooms or in the hallways. But if you’re tired enough from traveling, it won’t make a difference and you’ll sleep like a baby. Showers were hot and enough blankets and free heater. Staff was very helpful. If you have to leave before breakfast starts (8AM) they will make sure you have a little desayuno to go.

Wonderful room that we had in this hostel. The shared spaces and the terrasse are beautiful and cozy. The receptionnist helped us a lot booking Tiwanaku and was there for assistance. Great location on a cute quiet street, near museums and bars. The only point to improve is the kitchen (only a microwave). Otherwise, hot shower :)
