Hostal Ancora

We stayed in this hostal for 4 nights in a private room in August. Pros: price, location, and I also would like to thank the lady who works at the reception she is really nice and friendly. Cons: there were quite specific smell in the first floor, we even did not eat breakfasts that were included in the price. We got lucky and had recently renovated room ...but we had problem with the water in the shower ...Everytime you take a shower there is a huge paddle in the room ...

Just got back after a 3 night stay in room 205 in the Ancora and on the whole it was excellent. Ok it looks a bit tired and the rooms are a bit small but for value for money it was unbeatable!! I booked a single room for 3 nights with breakfast for €51 but i got a double with a very comfy bed and i'll have to go a long way to beat that i'm thinking! Location is fantastic just a few minutes walk to the beach and shops.. plenty of bars and restaurants close by and not too far to the bus station either.|The owner is friendly and helpful with good knowledgeable advice and the woman who did breakfast was amazingly cheerful (definately a morning person). The only problem i had was with other guests on my floor coming in noisily after 5am on the sunday morning but it certainly didn't ruin my stay by any stretch of the imagination. Would i stay again? The location was great, just 2 mins walk to the beach, the staff very friendly and there was a good selection for breakfast. Air conditioning and wifi were included in the price and we had beach umbrellas for free. Shopping street nearby. They hold baggages after check out so I could do my last minute stuff in Lloret. Price-service-ratio super. ||Only minus is there is no elevator and carrying my luggage to the third floor was quite a task.

This hostel was clean, tidy, with friendly staff, a nice little room (we had a double bed on the top floor, 4th floor) which was quiet, and we had the air conditioning which made our stay quite pleasant, for a cheap price. The hostel was located in a side street, away from the main touristic and noisy streets, yet so close to everything, so it was perfect.||The only minor point I would comment on is the breakfast. There was a very large variety of sweet pastries, which is good for people who like eating sweet things for breakfast, but for people who would prefer to have salty or non-sweet breakfasts, it lacked in that. It would have been perfect if bread was available in abundance like the rest of the items, but we only had 1 piece of bread ready on our plate on our designated table, and none of it was available in the breakfast buffet area, so we had to do with the sweets. Nevertheless, it was quite good for the price paid. You never get so much choice for such a low price. I would recommend this hostel to anyone searching for a simple place to sleep and enjoying the days out in Lloret.

First of all we want to tell you about staff. They are very kind and peaceful people. If we needed something they always tried their best to help us - with breakfast, with sun umbrella, with iron and fan, with plates and knife for our melon and so on. )))||Rooms have difference between 3 stars hotels only with TV and refrigerator - Ancora don't have them. If you don't need them - choose Ancora ))||Rooms have air conditioner and 1 or 2 place beds. Beds is up to you.||This hotel is too close to the seashore - about 3 min. And much closer to the main street.||We were happy to stay here.

If your driving to Lloret as I did. You will have no chance to park anywhere near. In fact Lloret is almost impossible to find parking (free) And you will pay a lot to overnight park at the parking houses. The Ancora is what you pay for. Cheap and basic. My room 303 had all I needed. Good size and separate bath/toilet. It was clean, bed comfortable and the AC worked very well. Wifi was also good in the room. Although it is a little noisy from other guests staying on same floor. The policy for cleaning your room I think is very good. They don't clean it unless you hang out the "clean room" tag. Which means you won't be disturbed until your ready. |I was there for a reunion and lots of drinking so "only slept there" and appreciated the Ly Inn!!|It's at the north end of town which makes the streets quieter after 11pm. And a good 10min walk to Llorets night life. All the staff were very helpful and kind. They have a bar which was nice to use for a drink before I went out. Breakfast is included. Toast, cereals, pastries, cheese and meat etc. no lift, but that's gives you a little exercise??|Very short walk to the beach. |

great value for money. . . we booked 1 room cost 20 euro but in the end we paid 30€ for 1 night, because the 20€ is only for 1person 1 bed. .. . basic hotel with private bathroom. good location. the staff is kind and so jolly.. she let us borrow some umbrella to use in the beach .. and keep our thins after check out.

We've just arrived from Lloret De Mar and stayed in Hostal Ancora for a whole week. The Hostal is all the you need for this type of holiday, a simple breakfast, clean rooms, everything close by and most important is the very helpful staff. Any type of problem or advise they helped and always serviced with a smile :)||||This is the cheapest we've found for our stay which had average/good reviews so don't pretend something special. Would stay again because everything is so close to the hostal and always found great help, they gave us a fan because in the room it is not provided and also just a note that rooms have no tv or fridge. The only problem is the other people that are staying in the hostal which make too much noise even in early hours of the day which was too much and also they are never told off by the staff or someone. We are a young couple and don't mind a bit of noise but we had 2 rooms next to us in our floor which was full of English and they were rude and loud and don't have respect to the other people staying at the hostal.||||Next time we would maybe find something better just because it was too noisy and no one did nothing, but if you don't care and want something very low budget this is fantastic for you. If you want a big bed, big bathroom, security that take care of the noise, tv or fridge in the room then look elsewhere and prepare to pay much more.
