In the center of Barcelona, you can walk to iconic spots. The building is a bit small with classic Barcelona architecture, but it will meet all your needs. It has a kitchen for common use. We stayed for 3 nights in February 2024 and when I go to Barcelona again, it is a place I can prefer.

If you're looking for luxury and first rate amenities, look somewhere else. But if you're a seeker of the little touches that warm your heart, this guest house may be just the thing. My wife and I stayed here for two nights and couldn't have been happier. This is a clean and charming place in a great location in the Eixample district, with many restaurants and attraction within a short walk. It's also not far from the delightful rabbit warren of streets that make up the Ciutat Vella. The guest house takes up an entire floor of an older building and is reachable by marble staircase or an efficient if slightly claustrophobic elevator. The room we were assigned overlooks the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, a busy street with lots of foot traffic. Everything about the place from the tiled walls in the bathroom and distinctive tiled floors to the DIY kitchen area where you can prepare snacks or a full meal using your shared fridge space, speaks to a time when travelers' needs were simpler. A wonderful price value -- safe and clean at just a little over hostel rates. I'd stay here again.

Stayed in Casa Consell for 4 days for Barcelona Half Marathon with a frined. the room we stayed was basic but we found spacious and does the job. Location is very accessible and is walking to most attractions. Has a metro closeby and Plaza Catalunya if taking aerobus to the airport. Use of the dining hall and mini kitchen was handy. Staff were polite and friendly. the only negative comment I can think is the stench when you enter the property. Though they provided a dehumidier or aan electronic air refreshner, the bad smell still lingered. Also, sound proofing can be imporved. BUt other wise, it was a good stay.

We booked the "family room" , although, there were only two of us. At the time we booked, the price for the family room had a hard-to-refuse price compared to double rooms in other hotels. The room was very clean (Kudos to the cleaning staff.) The double bed was comfortable and there were two other smaller beds. It was roomy for European standards. Our balcony, directly overlooking the motorcycles which were parked in front of a restaurant that sits directly below. We expected the noise factor from the outside seeing that we are in L'eixample area after all, near all the sites in Ciutat Vella ( Old City). We also have access to the kitchen and the fridge ( great for storing drinks). Regarding the staff , they were all friendly and attentive. The only con that I can say is the noise from flashing the toilet, using the tap and taking a shower can get annoying. It sounded like water pumps working real hard ( I am not a plumber) . But then again, we are in Spain , not Las Vegas. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to others especially if they have budget, location and comfort in mind.

The hotel is very cute. The front desk personnel was very welcoming and gave us valuable tips for visiting Barcelona. Just remember that the front desk is opened at selected time in a day so please notify them in advance of your arrival time. We had a great stay in Barcelona and staying at this hotel improved our trip further.

We chose this Hostal because of its decor. It has the Terra Cotta floors, mosaic tiles in the bathroom, old plaster walls, door and windows from 1890 when built in Eixample district. It was a small room for American standards but, I feel like by Spanish standards it was good. The bed was double and not as comfortable as we were used to. However we did not have trouble sleeping because we were so tired each night. The air conditioning was lacking, and it smelled for the first few minutes you turned it on. We had a room facing the strong heat of the day, so, it took longer to cool down. The bathroom was small too. The towels and linens were fresh every day that we requested. ||They had complimentary shampoo and shower gels. At times during the day we would open the windows and have a breeze and hear sounds of the city. There was a lot of traffic and one night a lot of sirens. There were three restaurants just outside the main entrance. The one across the street was our go to for breakfast and some dinners. Food service, good food, good prices. The staff at the Guest Inn were very nice and accommodating to our needs. They have a refrigerator that you can store food or drink in. And they let you store your luggage if you arrive early or have to check out before you are ready for transport. The location is very central to all sights. We walked to everything we saw even to the beach. Restaurants were plentiful, transportation close by. Would stay there again.

Attitude of the reception is really nice, helping to print things, introducing Barcelona with maps patiently, helping to reserve Taxi and so on. The room is big enough for single traveler since you won’t stay in the room for whole day. And the position is convenient enough. Only two suggestions. One is the air conditioner doesn’t work well and makes lots of noise, I’m not sure whether it is comfortable in winter. Another is that the wall is not so good at separating noise, therefore the neighbor really destroyed my night, it sounds like a party! So maybe the hostel can ask the guests to keep quiet in night when they check in.

For the price I paid it was good budget accommodation for Barcelona. Decent room with a balcony overlooking main road. Staff helpful. Good size bathroom. Near the metro. Just a few stops to major attractions. ||Finding it a bit confusing. Nothing at all at the door to indicate what button you need to press for the hostel. A lady entering the building told me. That is easy to fix if they want. Not many bars nearby open late night.
