Lovely place and very attentive owner. We spent four nights, rooms are great and the shared kitchen has everything you need. Carlos was always super helpful and friendly. Would 100% recommend!

The owner is so lovely! He made our stay. Very affordable appartment for 6, in which I stayed with friends. We had our own private bathroom and kitchen. It has a rooftop with a stunning view of the mountains and the price was really good too! Thanks again :)

I had an excellent experience, big and clean rooms, very little noise and no light so you can sleep in! The owner is super nice and helpful, highly recommend if you’re looking for something calm and quiet near the attractions. The rooftop is also very nice

We stayed in June 2018, when the hostal was undergoing some renovations. This did not bother us too much and it was nice to see that they're making improvements during the quieter low season in preparation for the high season. Carlos didn't speak much English but we managed with our little Spanish. He is very friendly and hospitable, keen to ensure you have a comfortable stay and share his knowledge of the area for the best places to visit. We had a private ensuite room with a shared kitchen. Lovely view of the mountains. The room was clean and comfortable, the showers hot, heating worked a treat in the cold weather. Drinking water available at all time. Kitchen a little small but functional. Not well equipped during our stay, perhaps it's because it was quiet season, we had enough for ourselves but it will need more if the hostal is full. There is a minimarket opposite, a bakery within 5 minute walk and the centre is 10mins away. A recommended place to stay.

The hostal is clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Our host was extremely accommodating. He made his own kitchen available to us when we requested a room with a kitchenette but none were available. The beds were large and comfortable. The bathroom was large and we had plenty of hot water. The public spaces provided lovely spots to eat our meals, to relax with a book, or to do a little yoga. Altogether this is a great place to stay!

Not a fancy hotel, but everything in the rooms worked correctly (electrical outlets, hot shower, TV, etc), which is fairly uncommon in this part of the world! Also, they charged the correct amount.

Like others we were accosted by the owner at the bus station (along with 5 others!) and shook him off till we could take our time and check everyone out. We looked at half a dozen places and this was by far the best place and silly cheap for what we got (250 for a huge double with attached bathroom). Owner is really nice and helpful as are his family. Quiet location but still an easy walk to the main square. Super clean.||||Only downside is that except for one room there is no kitchen but never fear because just around the corner is an amazing local eatery that destroys anything on the main square for less than half the price:||||It is located just around the corner on Av. Monseñor Diego Gutierrez Pedraza between Catamarca and Buenos Aires. Lunch menus for 35, four of us went for dinner, stuffed our faces with ribs and steak and beer and it was still less than 100 per perso.||||For breakfast we found a place near the main square that did good coffee and a croissant for 30.||||Highly recommended.

We have never been to Cafayate and only had the Lonely Planet and Internet information to work from. We had planned to stay somewhere else but when we arrived by bus to the main terminal, the host Carlos had offered to drive us to town and view the rooms at no charge. ||He was so attentive to our needs and made us feel ' muy tranquilo ' . He also assisted us in organizing hikes and tours with very responsible guides. ||Upon our departure, he organized a taxi ride onto Salta with no hesitation which made life a whole lot easier. ||Because we don't speak very much Spanish, it was very helpful that Carlos did a lot of the background work for our adventures. We sincerely recommend this place for your Cafayate accommodations. ||Muchas Gracious Carlos y familia!
