A few minutes from the Cathedral and as a bare minimum room without an exterior window it had air con and a kettle but no proper reception. Clean, quiet, and good. value compared with other Cadiz hotels.|Location Excellent, Good budget stay.

Paco is the best, a very helpful and reachable host. For a 1 star hotel, nothing is missing. Room was clean, good smelling and comfortable. The window was facing the internal corridor, but it was anyway very quite.

We chose this place for our one night stay for our 4-person family because of the fairly good reviews in Tripadvisor, central location and good price. We were more than satisfied! The location is great, there are lots of really nice restaurants and bars close by. When visiting Cadiz, location is very important if you want to enjoy the atmospheric small alleys and nice little tapas restaurants. All the main sights are also a walking distance away. The hostel is very clean and well maintained, and one cannot enter without the receptionist unlocking the door so it's very safe, too. The rooms are naturally nothing spectacular: small rooms with a very small bathroom, but there is everything you need. The bathtub is minuscule but if shower is enough for you then it's ok. Most of the rooms only have an "indoor window" so be prepared to not having a view, though. The positive thing about this is that the rooms are quiet and there is no disturbing outdoor noise. For 50€/room I think this is a bargain!||There are lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. We had some tapas opposite the hotel: the place is full of locals and the food was good. We ate dinner just around the corner (turn right when going out and take the first street on the right. The tapas restaurant El Callejon is within a 3 minute walking distance and it's great!) There are also many places which serve breakfast nearby.||At first we were worried about the lack of parking place but as we read from previous reviews there is a big underground parking place (Las Canalejas) very close by, right by the port, a couple of minutes walking distance, and it cost 23€/day. Of course there are cheaper places, too, but they are farther away.||I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Cadiz (unless someone else paid my hotel ;))

Mediaeval street plans means what might sound like complaints are really not cos you have to understand you're talking about cramped conditions. My ground floor rooms only window looked into a foyer really. There were shutters I could close across and turn on the excellent air conditioning. So important in the height of summer. Room small but clean and had all I needed. Room and hostal was quiet. Check in and out very simple and girl on the desk welcoming. As an ageing hippy on a budget I have no reservations recommending this place for value, cleanliness and convenience. Cádiz really untouristy Spanish city I felt.

Very central for sightseeing. Small clean quiet hotel. Pleasant facilities including tea making provision (very appreciated) and air conditioning. |Lorena who welcomed us could not have been more helpful.

One level better than a cave. Beds are small, narrow and uncomfortable. We stayed there for 3 nights and every morning woke up with backache. The water in the shower comes out hot than it suddenly changes to cold and again hot. I burnt my shoulder. Toilet and shower are very small. We paid 330 euro for 3 nights. I think it is expensive! I gave 2 stars because its location is good, clean and quiet. As i said, you could spend your night aling the beach with that money.

The hotel is central in the old town. Many restaurants and cafes are nearby within walking distance. Lorna, one of the staff members who sat sometimes in the reception or was involved with room cleaning was helpful.||||However, the hotel is grossly over valued even after taking into consideration the location of the hotel and the fact that I stayed in the hotel during the carnival time. The single bed that I was provided with, was extremely uncomfortable. The WIFI connection did not reach the third floor where my room was. The TV had only Spanish channels. It took the hotel staff three days to change a faulty bulb in the bedside lamp, which was done by Lorna.

Excellent location, clean, quiet, safe, close to Cathedral, restaurants, etc. Less than 10 minute walk to train/bus station (someone tell Google the bus station moved 5+ years ago). Good size bathroom relative to other hostals I've stayed at. TV, good wifi connection. The staff at the front desk was excellent.
