Easily my favourite hostel experience that I’ve had! So much love has gone into creating a gorgeous, authentic and comfortable environment for the guests. It is a social place and I quickly made friends with the few other guests (it’s the low season), whom I ended up spending most of my time exploring Guanajuato with. There’s an incredible dual level terrace with different spaces to rest/socialise. It’s well located with nearby food/coffee options and a straightforward 15-20 minute walk to town. One of the best parts is the delicious breakfast put on every morning by the owner, Irene - including a daily changing fruit place and fruit juice, coffee/tea and a different traditional Mexican breakfast dish each day (I definitely saved money not buying lunch on several days). I’m so grateful for my stay here and would stay again and recommend in a heartbeat.

Simply the best hostel I’ve stayed in, and I’ve stayed in many across the world! It’s very Mexican yet Guanajuatan in decor which is lovely in color and with the best views of any hostel out there! The host is the owner , Doña Irene who is like a mom, cooks the free breakfast true in Mexican style and are really filling and delicious! If you want the best stay anywhere hostel or hotel in Guanajuato this is it! Did i mention the views are unbelievable!

Truly one of the cosiest hostels I've ever stayed at. A lovely maze of rooms, dorms, common rooms and rooftop balconies to relax on. Great 2-course breakfast included that is served in a very social setting. Really helpful and nice hosts, a very familial atmosphere.

Stayed at this cute place 8 years ago on my solo trip to Guanajuato, made some new friends and had some amazing breakfasts in the casa. Look at these lovely platings!

This place is a real gem. It's a safe and short walk into town, and close to some of my favourite cafes, taquerias, and live music. After staying in so many other places where you never see the host, it was such a treat to stay here. I was welcomed to the casa warmly. Every morning a delicious homemade meal was made. True hospitality. I stayed in a private room and it was great. It's nice to have all of the communal spaces and kitchen access that a hostel provides. I'll definitely stay here again as a first choice.

If you are comfortable walking around 100 steps this is the best place to stay. Amazing hostel with great views. Super quiet and specially the owner and staff they treat you like a family. Their breakfast is the thing to die for. It’s a mini buffet.

Breakfast was amazing and generous Takes a while to get someone to open the front door of the hostel though Slept really well Showers don’t have shower curtains so the water might spill everywhere and get messy very fast

I had a great stay at this hostel!!! Location a bit out of the center (15-20min on foot), but incredible view from the roof terrace, lots of space in the room, very colorful. The owner Irene puts so much love and passion into her work and cares about her guests. She prepares a different delicious breakfast every day. I enjoyed having a nice chat with her at the breakfast table and learning interesting things about Guanajuato and Mexico. At the same time, I was able to practise my Spanish ;)

Yelp
Wonderful place! Wonderful people! The terraza has a beautiful view, and the free breakfast is excellent. Please note that you'll have to walk up stairs, but they get easier each day. I highly recommend this hostel.

Yelp
So thoughtful! We loved it!... inside there were some coffee mugs that said "remember each en every of the 175 steps to get to Casa de Dante." The staff was amazing, breakfast was great, the lady owner was super! Our bed was made everyday and free breakfast each morning from 830 to 1030. Be aware, this hostel does NOT hold luggage for you like others do. Great Hostel! -De sus amigos de Tijuana.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this place! First of all, it's going to be a bit of a hike so prepare! It's literally situated right in the middle from the top of the stairs to the bottom! So you'll have to do some stair climbing either way. It's not hard to find, just look for the pink building. There will be a sign as well. Check in was super easy. There are 4 floors to this hostel. The bottom floor has a few rooms and is also where the check in/out, kitchen and dining area is. The rest are rooms with an outdoor rooftop area on the 3rd and floor where everyone hangs out. The view.....OMG....simply amazing!!! We had a group of 7 and we all had private rooms, some with private bathrooms and showers. The room my beau and I had was a double bed with a huge private bathroom and separate shower with plenty of HOT water! It also had a small fridge, a couple of margarita and wine glasses as well ;) We had an amazing view from the small balcony of our room! Note that there is no AC or fan, so it does get a little hot in the rooms. The free breakfast every morning was delicious and the staff was AMAZING! They even gave us each a gift on our last day there! We've stayed at many hostels and this is the first time we received a gift from the hostel staff! And btw, it's not a normal thing they do, we just happen to mention something to them and the next day they showed up with it! So generous! We also met some really cool fellow travelers as well! The hostel is super clean and comfortable, food delicious, amazing views, and fantastic staff! Highly recommend it!
