I loved staying here. The rooms are small, but immaculately clean, great shower, and ecological amenities provided. There is free coffee, fruit, and cookies in the morning. Monica, the owner is super helpful, giving guests tips on where to go and what to see and accommodating special needs. It is very centrally located, so you can walk most anywhere. I will definitely stay there if I have a chance to visit again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location and prices are affordable. The rooms are with fresh and clean interior but really tiny, it’s impossible to open a big suitcase. Also noise proof is poor. In general, I’d recommend to stay here if you are coming to the city alone and for a few days only.

The receptionist was friendly and checked us in. This was the cheapest hotel we could find in Barcelona for the night so my expectations were low. The bed was fine and the bathroom clean. There was a small wardrobe if you wished to unpack and a tiny little balcony to people watch. Better than I expected.

The hotel was absolutely amazing stay. Such a friendly staff. The receptionist is very helpful. Coffee is free and it’s so tasty. Clean and very quiet place, close to the centre. I would be back here for sure. Recommend to anyone who is looking to rest. Cleanliness is spotless and shower is very hot and pressure is amazing!

Excellent hotel with coffee and breakfast on offer. An elevator holds multiple bags in one trip. Comfortable beds, extremely clean rooms and strong wifi. Staff were fabulous helpful and all very friendly. Appreciated everything! Highly recommend. This is Spain and generally sound travels through walls so bring earplugs to avoid disturbances. They are sold at any pharmacy for about 1€ or less. Spain is an old country so is a lot of the construction. I slept perfectly fine, i just know a lot of Americans are not accustomed to staying in Spain. Just a friendly tip for anywhere you will stay. I also use earplugs on the trains 🤣.

Hostal Central Barcelona has an amazing location and it's really easy to get around the city. Meghan at the reception was extremely friendly and helped us get a sense of how to get around. She also helped us book an early morning taxi to the airport. It also helps that there are supermarkets, cafes and restaurants all around. The only grouch if anything was that the room was extremely small.

I made and payed reservations 2 days prior the check in. Because my daughter’s passport was valid for less than 3 months (actually two days less), I had to cancel or change the reservation. The hostal refused to help in any way to change dates or, at least, refund some of the money. Talked to whoever got the phone at their office and, with no empathy at all, repeated that they couldn’t do anything and that I had lost my money. The issue with the passport was not their problem. Shame on this person. Shame on this hostal. I guess they are part of the lovely group of catalanes that assaults tourists lately.
