The staff gave us a wonderful welcome and even spoke in our language. Such a friendly guy. No one has welcomed us this well before, and we will never forget it. I booked directly with them, as they had better rates on their website, no doubt. I also sent them a couple of emails for information before arrival, and they were quick to respond, which was a good start! All the receptionists I met on day and night shifts were helpful every step of the way. I travelled solo and was offered a clean, modern-design private room on the 4th floor with a tiny, sweet balcony overlooking the neighbourhood and the road among tall trees. I loved the city view and the peace. The wi-fi connection was fast and never paused when I watched a football game on mobile or used video call. Thanks to the safe and central location, the hotel (I did not say “hostel” deliberately) is walk-friendly for reaching some main attractions, and is conveniently located near bus stops. I love bus window sightseeing as part of my journeys, so I don’t have specific information about metro options. I took a taxi to and from Sants, which cost approximately 9 EUR and 12 EUR, respectively, and each route took 6-8 minutes during a time of day with no particular traffic problems. The hotel has no breakfast service. It's not a downside, for there are nice places to eat or have a drink around; just follow the reception’s recommendations. Chain supermarkets and vendors nearby provide alternatives for food, beverages, and other daily needs, as well. What's more, the lounge next to the lobby is a refreshing spot, offering complimentary tea alongside a vending machine with coffee and some snacks. The recycling bins are a nice touch for sustainability.

I stayed in a small, very basic room that suited my needs but was quite minimal in terms of amenities and comfort. The room was simple, with just the essentials—nothing fancy or luxurious. That said, the location was fantastic, just a short walk from the city center, making it perfect for exploring the area. However, there were a few downsides to consider. I could hear noises from outside quite clearly—people cleaning, chatting, and general activity around the hotel early in the morning, which disrupted my sleep a bit. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful, though nothing extraordinary. One thing I found a bit unusual was their policy of asking guests to leave their room keys at the reception every time they left the hotel. It felt a bit inconvenient, but it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly, well-located spot and don’t mind a basic room and some early morning noise, this hotel could work for you!

Super modern and clean. Small but perfect private room. Antonio was super helpful and full of smiles. The location was convenient to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. The only negative was the shower water getting on the floor. The glass wasn’t long enough to prevent the water from getting out. A door or curtain could’ve been useful. Even with that, I’d stay here again. And the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Hostal Centric went much better than expected. The hotel is small, but all amenities are available, plus it was clean and offered free water and tea throughout. The staff was impeccable - especially Leo, and also Antonio. They were both very interested in our travels and in our culture, and did their best to accommodate us as much as possible. The location is central, close by to most amenities, and in a good restaurant area.||I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Barcelona.

My second time at this hotel. Centrally located but it has its pros and cons. Its close to everything that you would like to see. Well connected with airport buses and buses to other cities. We took a bus to sitges it was only a 5 min walk to the stop. neighbourhood is going through renos and construction so its not the most easy to navigate at night. I relied completely on google so there were times when it took me through the gothic quarter alleys at night which was nerve wrecking 😂 Staff is super helpful. Huge shout out to Antonio he was great. He gave us tips and helped us figure out which beach to visit. enjoyed our banter with him and his Urdu speaking skills were 10/10. He helped us with the ac setup as well and was just amazing to deal with it. The other lady who helped us check out was also very patient she helped us with storing our luggage when we went to eat and helped us with figuring out the freenow app pickup location. She also asked if we wanted to use the bathroom which was very kind of her. One of the days they has free m&m on the front desk for free. They have a camera at the door so super secure you have to ring and someone will open the door so the desk is always manned which is a huge plus in my eyes. You have to give the keys in the drop box every time you leave which was fine. The room does not have a fridge i believe only superior rooms do. Our room was on the 2nd floor. The ac is in one corner of the room so it can take some time for the room to cool up once you start it up.the sink is small in size so there is some spilling and the water from the shower spills out as well cus its just a shower curtain and not a glass etc. The room seems accessible though as there was a chair attached to the bathroom wall which is great in my opinion. The room was cleaned/bed made and new towels the two days we had not put the do not disturb sign. Room comes equipped with tv with apps so you can watch netflix etc. the water from tap is okay for drinking but they had a filter at the lobby level and we used it frequently. Tons of food places nearby and stores so very central. My one suggestion would be to add a like those usb charger outlets even if not in the wall you can get attachments to just place by bedside it would honestly elevate the experience for most people.Pillows could be better as well they weren’t comfortable for sleeping. Not enough lightening or maybe its too yellow to do makeup so we had to draw the curtains to use sunlight instead.Also city tax was €37 and some change.

Great place to stay in BCN! The location is very good, close to aerobus stop, very friendly staff on reception. Big comfortable bed with soft pillows and big bathroom. There is no restaurant in the building, but around the area, there are plenty of cafes/restaurants to choose from.

The room and location are good, but shockingly our clothes were stolen from suitcase locked with padlock on the day we checked out. We left the suitcase at the reception and came back to pick up after an hour. After we arrived at the airport, we noticed the padlock on the suitcase was gone. After we arrived at our next destination, we discovered some of our clothes were stolen from the suitcase. Luckily we didn’t leave any valuable items inside. Clothes that were stolen were ladies white shorts and white dress. We deposited our suitcase at the reception on 9 Aug 11:15am to 12:45 noon. We were with our suitcase the whole time otherwise. Totally unbelievable.

Stayed 1 night here. Booked on booking.com for 77€ / 114,54 $CAD. Super location, nearby many subways stations and many restaurants / bars / cafés / bakeries. Room is a bit small but it does the job, same thing with the bathroom. Overall, can't complain too much. Our room had a mini terrace as well. Staff was kind. Free wifi. 4/5 visited in October 2016

Very inexpensive for the location. We paid about $80 US/night. Very clean and nice. 10 min walk from Placa de Caralunya. Bakeries and small grocery shops 2min in every direction. Safe neighborhood.
