Stayed here in 2010 first time I visited Ecuador. Was my home base for months. Loved this place. Now 2025 and I live in Ecuador. Good memories when I walk by this place.

Had a great stay here, close to waterfalls and hot springs, and walkable to most places. Staff was friendly and good value even though it's not a top end resort

Overall this place is great for budget travel in my opinion. Some might find it expensive. Rooms were clean and nice. Ours had a balcony facing the waterfall. Really good breakfast on top floor with good views. Staff was really friendly. 👎🏾 Only place I've ever seen who charges a 1$ for WiFi password....we also had issues with hot water.

We had a nice large room with a balcony view of the waterfall. The staff is friendly. Our balcony was above the pool and you could hear the people splashing around but it didn't disturb us. The lounge area on the top floor is a nice place to hang out. Breakfast options were reasonably priced so I ate there both mornings. The Hostal is on the edge of central Baños which is quite compact. It's just around the block from the waterfall and baths and a couple of minutes walk to the central square.

Hard to rate this place. Excellent location. Rooms were clean and quiet. Laundry service was awesome. The staff were friendly and great. But it’s true about the cold water — in the three days I was there I only had hot water once. For $24 a night — hot showers please.

Pretty cute hostal at the center of Banos. Its location is great- walkable to many restaurants, shops and tours. I booked a single room with private bathroom for three nights. It even included a balcony with views of a waterfall.||A few things I did not love...|- Breakfast was not worth it - don't pay ahead online. I would try breakfast spots outside or if you have to order from their menu on the spot.|- Showers were very hard to get right. I spent each shower constantly changing the temperature because it was always TOO cold or TOO hot even with the slightest adjustment.|- No microwave and access to kitchen-; I was told I could use the kitchen after breakfast but everything was locked up and stove would not turn on. Could not heat my food.|- I got a complete facial here that was very mediocre. I left with the face mask not completely washed from my face...

Great location, rooms are older but clean and tidy. Place is a little on the dark side. No hot water most of the time since it is powered by solar. But just go to the hot spring. Staff is friendly. Beds are comfy and provide lots of blanket to keep you warm at night. Plenty of amenities. Spa, pool, top floor has a hangout spot.

I stayed here for only one night when coming back from Chimborazo with a friend of mine. I took a private room and she took a bed in one of the dorms. Both of us had an excellent experience. The rooms were clean, the staff was super friendly and the pool and rooftop terrace were perfect for relaxing after the mountain. They also offer a massage service which was greatly appreciated and they are located on the same street as all the tour operators. Everything was great ! Gracias por todo Daniela !
