Hostal Chimenea SPA.

Great location, rooms are older but clean and tidy. Place is a little on the dark side. No hot water most of the time since it is powered by solar. But just go to the hot spring. Staff is friendly. Beds are comfy and provide lots of blanket to keep you warm at night. Plenty of amenities. Spa, pool, top floor has a hangout spot.

Totally fine location, price and food, but the air, the air it's killing me. No fan whatsoever in our room intended for 6 people, which equals a very bad atmosphere.

Great location - a bit far from the bus station and fruterias/mercados, but in a more quiet area and super close to the thermal baths, with a great park and the cathedral only a couple blocks away. Pool is frigid. Showers don't stay hot. Rooftop terrace is lovely, can use the kitchen after noon, a bit echoey (not very quiet) up there. Super friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed nearly three weeks there.

Comfortable, safe, nearby various places and activities. Easily accessible. Friendly staff. Security. 1.2 liter bottles of water for $1. Rooms right next to pool. (Had to continually cross over wet tiles to get to room.) Centrally located for a variety of activities, including spas. Tour guides come to hotel. |The horse tour was less than stellar. The guides needed to call after they lost their way. The customer care was lackluster at best. Did not stop at the water fall, which was to be a highlight. |

Good place to stay. But it was not pet friendly and they didn't mention anything about it anywhere. At the time of check out they wanted to charge us because of having small pet! I didn't like breakfast, very simple and not tasty especially the jam! The bathroom had a very bad smell. The room had plants in but all were dried, so the look of it felt uncomfortable. Better to remove them from room.

I stayed here for only one night when coming back from Chimborazo with a friend of mine. I took a private room and she took a bed in one of the dorms. Both of us had an excellent experience. The rooms were clean, the staff was super friendly and the pool and rooftop terrace were perfect for relaxing after the mountain. They also offer a massage service which was greatly appreciated and they are located on the same street as all the tour operators. Everything was great ! Gracias por todo Daniela !

Unfortunately this hostal has clearly declined recently.||I had been here few times in the past.||It seems there's a new administration.||Pillows, mattresses and linen were not particularly clean. If you can fall asleep while smelling humidity odors, go for it! ||In Baños one can find hundreds of options, cheaper than this.||I think this hostal is surviving due to its previous soon-to-evaporate good reputation. ||Certainly to suppress from one's favorites´list while in Baños.

I enjoyed my stay! The room was big, the view was amazing, the staff was friendly, free yummy breakfast. Very walkable area. Very affordable, I have zero complaints.
