HOSTAL CHUMAY

We had a lovely stay at Hostal Chumay this past week. Our original accommodation in Conaripe fell through last minute, so we literally just walked in the door and asked for a room for the night. The owners there couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms were large and clean, and the food was great. Many thanks again for making our stay wonderful!

It's more a home which means you could have some sound issue with other rooms.|Very warm welcome and a lot of good advices. |The room were very clean. We Just had dinner here, without sleeping at the hostal. The food was great, freshly prepared and served by lovely Sarvia, a fantastic host. She also accommodated our request for a late dinner. The trout stood out, but the jabali' with vegetables was outstanding too.

Stayed for 1 night as part of a guided tour. The tour to villaricca was amazing. Organised by milton from the hostal. Excellent guide. ..fully recommended. The hostal needs a big refurbishment. Very old, not comfortable and would not recommended unless to backpackers.

Stayed elsewhere in Conaripe. But sort out somewhere nicer to eat so came to chumay for dinner. ||Best Lomo a la pobre I have eaten in ten months in chile. |Grilled chicken was yummy too. |Service was welcoming and fun. |Look forward to returning with family next yr. Will stay and dine here. |||

Good location in town next to lake and tourist information, good food and clean rooms, the staff really knowed the area and services around the town. They have tours too on the most visited season of the year.

Excelente lugar para comer la comida super Exquista. pedimos un ceviche de salmon Super exquisito pescado Fresco. Un lomos en su punto 3/4 Y menú del día muy conveniente por sus precios . Estaremos volviendo Pronto. La persona que nos recibió super amable . Juan nos dijo que era su nombre. 5 de 5 recomendado .

A mi juicio es un buen lugar para alojarse, las camas son muy cómodas, las sábanas y toallas de buena calidad, el baño y la ducha son muy bonitos, el desayuno es muy bueno, y en general el personal es muy amable. Lo que no me pareció tan bueno fue que el horario de desayuno empieza a las 9:30 hrs., algo tarde para mi gusto, considerando que uno puede querer iniciar temprano los paseos que ofrece el lugar. También que el horario del restaurant es poco o nada de claro: la primera noche llegamos pasadas las 20:00 horas, preguntamos por la cena, y nos dice la encargada que "está sola", y que "su jefe debe esta por llegar", por lo que optamos por cenar en otro lugar, y a la noche siguiente esperábamos cenar ahí, sin embargo el restaurant se veía cerrado hasta pasadas las 22 horas (era sábado en la noche). También a mi juicio el estacionamiento se sobrecarga, por lo que se debe hacer malabares para sacar el vehículo. A mi juicio son detalles que se podría mejorar. De todas maneras lo recomiendo.
