Private room was nice and spacious. My bathroom, though nicely remodeled, was tiny enough to be a logistical challenge. Front desk are very kind and helpful. The biggest issue is noise: separating my room from the street was basic construction, so you’ll hear motorcycles and street vendors until the town goes to bed, and then again early morning, which is not ideal if you’re waking up at 6am to hike. This is fairly common in Salento, but you’ll likely find quieter lodging further from the plaza, or at least a place with rooms set back from the street.

Lovely, clean and quiet hostel. The man who works behind the front desk is super nice and helpful. They also clean the dorms each day - even making my bed (even though I'd left the place an absolute mess). Came back to my pyjamas folded neatly, a fresh bed and a new towel. Incredible service for the price. I booked another night direct from the hostel and got a discount too - always book direct if you can! The breakfast was good, not the best breakfast I've had in Colombia but after 11 months of travel I'm getting a shade sick of eggs and toast! It's included in the price of the bed so I cannot complain. The only downside is that the dorm is right on the street so it gets a bit of noise. It's also not the most social place - most backpackers seem to go to the coffee tree. I stayed there a night, this is better (and cheaper).

FANTASTIC; very well located; within walking distance to the plaza (Parque) but quiet at night. The room was beautiful (saw the dorms which are also the nicest I have ever seen), the beds very comfortable, the shower is the best we had the entire time in Colombia. they also have 2 nice patios to hang out. Gracias a Luis por su ayuda en cualquiera cosa que necesitábamos, por cocinar el desayuno, y su amabilidad

I can’t recommend this place enough. This hostel really felt like a home away from home during our time in Salento. My boyfriend was hiking Tolima for four days while I stayed in Salento due to a knee injury and I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The hostel itself is beautiful and quiet with a lovely garden. The location is excellent - very close to the main town square, yet tucked away from some of the most busy and noisy touristy streets. The rooms are spacious, the beds gave us a good nights sleep, everything is clean and the showers are warm! The breakfast was also really nice, just a short walk down the road to a place where you get fresh juice, eggs, fruit and coffee. What really made our stay so lovely was Paola who runs the place with an amazing energy and warmth. She made us feel so welcome and helped out with everything we needed, from tours and rubber boots for the hikes to tips for places to eat nearby. The rest of the staff were also brilliant, including Isabel who took me on an amazing coffee tour of her family’s coffee plantation! Would easily come back and stay even longer!

Loved the place, friendly people who could speak English quite well, kitchen is for all. The wall is beautifully painted. There's wifi that's fast. The door is always opened quickly when the bell is rung at any time of day. The food and beverages are good. I'd say the price is okay. There's one lights witch that buzzed everytime someone would touch it and therefor I would rate it only 4 stars. Above average for a back packer.

Nice place, friendly staff and good breakfast. Bit noisy with the road but as long as you bring earplugs it is fine.
