Hostal Colina de Lluvia

Don’t book here. The pictures aren’t accurate, they will give you a smaller room that is completely different than shown on the website. It didn’t have a bathroom or a window as promised. There is no common area to work as promised either. The owner dismissed the problem, so we asked for our money back and left. Stay down the street at Hosteria de Mi Pueblo.

Great hostel. Super clean and fresh feeling. Facilities are good, free WiFi, kitchen, coffee in the morning. What more does one need. Staff were all friendly and more than willing to help. We also left our bags in the common area on the last day whilst we did some activities before leaving Filandia. Great value for money and great location (close to the Parque)

I really enjoy my stay here. The private room I stayed in is cozy, clean, and not street side, providing a good nights rest. Free coffee and tea is a plus. Please Note: If you are to use their mountain bikes, make sure they are serviced and in good order Additionally, DO NOT go with the suggested Barbas Bremen Tour with “Don Luis” Caminatas y Aventuras. Not the actual hike into Barbas Bremen, you spend most of your time walking through pastures, only about 30 minutes in the actual reserve.

Great family run hostel. Feels like home. Great common spaces, free coffee and tea all day, a kitchen, and the staff even took us out to show us the town. It’s obviously a budget place so don’t expect luxury, but my favorite kind of hostel. They also rent bikes for 10k COP / hour.

Colina de Lluvia has by far been one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Colombia. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their work. They spend a lot of time with guests too and feel like friends. The rooms are comfortable and bathrooms are clean. The hostel itself is beautiful and a back patio was recently opened with hammocks and tables - a perfect social area! The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had while traveling. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to spent time in Filandia. I planned on staying 1-2 nights and extended my stay to almost three weeks!

I had the best time at Hostel Colina de Lluvia in Filandia. From the beginning, I felt like part of a family there. I went hiking and biking with the people from the hostel, as well as other travelers passing through. I originally planned to stay a couple days which turned into a couple weeks! The hostel is beautiful and has a really relaxing atmosphere, it is filled with plants indoors and outdoors. There is a beautiful garden patio in the back where you can see the most amazing stars at night. It's a super creative and unique place, everything being made of wood and the walls decorated with murals. The breakfast is the best I've had in a hostel, with fresh fruit, eggs, bread, and coffee in the morning. The staff is really friendly and offers great travel advice. My stay in Fliandia wouldn't have been the same without it, I couldnt reccomend it highly enough!

Terrible hostel, the rooms are mouldy and they let a mariachi in at midnight for their friends birthday and woke us up?? I asked the staff member why it was happening and that I was annoyed and she laughed at me?! Edit: I left this review in anger after being woken up but have amended it to more accurately reflect my overall experience. It's not a bad hostel at all, and I'm pretty sure the mariachi thing was a one off.

Worst hostel ever. We booked the private room with bathroom. Pictures looked nice but the truth is completly different. The bathroom smells and has a lot of mold. Besides this, the room is directly next to the street. The noise was horrible, we could not sleep the whole night. We left after one night. In addition to that the service was bad. There was no support when we wanted to book a bus... We cannot recommend this hostel.
