Hostal Colonial

Now this place became a three star hotel boutique hotel and we have to admit: well done Sir. Compared to other places around he invested a bunch of money improving his place. The rooms are nice, well equipped and with cozy beds. Cleaning is done each day, quick and clean. The WiFi works perfectly. The breakfast is delicious, fresh made warm dishes included. There is nothing we can complain about except the air-condition which is too noisy. However, since it is one of these single-room installed one, you cannot expect them to be really quiet. We recommend a visit of this hotel.

This is a lovely friendly and very comfortable family run hotel with an amazing gelateria attached. The room I had was perfect, with great AC and a little terrace for taking in the evening sun. The hotel even provides the loan of beach umbrellas, essential when it was as hot as it was during my trip. Street parking is free, also very handy.

It's hard to describe how much I loved this hotel. Everything was perfect from the start to the end of my stay. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and they were happy to let me practice my very basic Spanish (I'm still learning) although they also spoke perfect English. The room (I had a single) was ideal, very comfortable and clean, with a lovely little balcony that got sun all morning. ||The gelateria downstairs is a delight. I made it a rule to have gelato from there every day, it's so incredible.||There's also a bakery round the corner, Panaderia Pons, where you can get incredible ensaimadas, fresh out of the oven.||The little cove around the corner, Cala Galiota, is a dream. If I ever return to Colónia (I hope I will), I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very nice Hotel/Hostal!!!, I think renovated not long ago, near Cala Gaviota and Lighthouse. We arrived late that evening and very kindly kept in touch with the Lady until late. Our room was simple, not too spacious, but at least with a small window in the bathroom and a small balcony. The access stairs were a little steep, the refrigerator in the room did not cool sufficiently; and in the reception/breakfast-area, the temperature was a little too low (in my opinion). The rooms with terraces, the apartments with real balconies, are very nice. However, the area is quiet although a little busy at certain hours given the presence of the ice-cream shop also owned by Colonial. The little balcony on the alley was fortunate, however, since no one ever walked by, as no one was ever at the windows or on the balconies positioned right in front of our French doors.

Stayed here for a week in one of the apartments. It was perfect for us with our granddaughter; 5 minutes walk from a sandy beach with shallow water, good breakfast (cold meats/fruit/yogurt/pastries, eggs cooked to order, very good coffee) and as everyone else has mentioned-amazing ice cream!|We originally booked half board but changed this after one night due to our granddaughter being a bit out of sorts in the evening, which wasn't very relaxing for us! However, I would recommend it-great value for money compared to other places with just as good food, and indeed better than a lot of others.|We had booked the two bedroomed apartment but were given the three-bedroomed one; I'm not sure why I didn't query it really-the 2 bedroomed one was top floor which we prefer so maybe when booking apartments you need to be quite specific about which one you want. |The staff were pleasant and helpful, especially the breakfast staff, and you can hire beach brollies and towels-if you are in the apartments there is no charge. The apartments are in a separate building but literally in the next building to the hotel.|All in all, a very nice family destination, we prefer to book smaller hotels when possible to support small businesses and we would book this again.

Always my number one Address in Colonia Sant Jordi. In the heart of the little town, supermarket just across the street, bakery around the corner, many Restaurant options in walking distance, only minutes walking to the Seafront or the harbor. Stayed there many times. Book directly via their homepage and you get a free welcome Ice Cream and that is worth, because they serve probably the most delicious home made ice cream of the island. They have different rooms, always renovating and improving over the winter season and it's always a surprise to see what's updating when you come back. This year, they added little balcony to the smaller rooms. It's always very clean and even if you have one of the tiny rooms, everything is there what makes your stay very comfortable. It's the little details! |And when you get hungry, their food is exactly as delicious as their ice cream... Nice Breakfast selection also available in the morning! Worth every Euro!

I am so happy I have found this place and book here. The hotel is super nice, nicely renovated with good quality materials - the common areas and rooms. My husband and I had room number 10 which is a wonderful double bed room with a wide wardrobe, TV, wide shower and an amazing terrace provided with a small table and long chairs that Ive loooved and enjoyed during the hottest hours, thanks to the sun curtains that create a thick shadow. The people working in the hotel are just wonderful and welcoming. The bar makes really good snacks (the sandwich with tomato and ham was delicious). The hotel has also an Ice cream shop, that has always queue because is literally the best gelato Ive ever had so its totally worth it. The hotel restaurant is also one of the best restaurants in town, do not hesitate trying it. Also they gave us -10% off the restaurant since we were hosted by the same hotel. Another nice attention was the “welcome icecream” which is something they give to people that reserve through their website. My husband and I are very happy of our stay in Hotel Colonial and we truly recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful place. Everything you need is there, very close to the beach. The apartment was new, fresh, super-equipped. Great, sunny terrace. I highly recommend :) Very delicious ice cream, great restaurant, breakfast. The town itself is also great, beautiful beaches and promenade.
