if i could give it no stars i would…i really recommend not staying here it’s not safe!!! we left because we felt so unsafe and booked a hotel elsewhere…our room was 3 floors underground with no signal, no bathroom, holes and stains on bed sheets, one towel, a window which allowed people in the hallway to view in and only 1 plug for use…staff didn’t speak and we just left the keys on the desk without saying a word

Booked this hotel via LoveHolidays - we arrived and there was absolutely no trace of our booking despite contacting the hotel days ago via email to say we would be arriving late. The male receptionist on the day would walk away from us routinely or go out for smokes mid-conversation while we tried to communicate in what Spanish we had. Very bad experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a holiday in Madrid or the surroundings.

The old receptionist is very rude. Otherwise a good hostel.

Booked this hotel with a private bathroom?when I checked in I am in a basement room with no window, just this little opening near the ceiling. Also sharing the bathroom etc with everyone else on that floor. There was no help at reception to any questions. The only positive of thus 'hotel' is the location. Would not recommend staying here

Unhelpful, rude. Would definetly not recommended this to anyone. Keep in your mind no one does speak a single word in English. Not interested to find a way to communicate at all. Not responding to emails as well. I have mange to find someone speaking Spanish to update room from sharing bathroom to own one. No single afford to help. Real nightmare!! I brought this as a present and all I can do now is regret!!!

DON'T EVEN THINK OF USING THIS PLACE ! ,YOU WILL END UP REGRETTING YOUR DECISIONS, ÌT LOOKS LIKE A PRISON BARS ON THE WINDOWS ,IF YOUR ROOM IS UNDERGROUND NO WINDOWS, SHARED DIRTY BATHROOM .RECEPTION DON'T SPEAK ANY ENGLISH AND NOT ITERESTED IN ANYTHING. WORST PLACE EVER STOPPED IN GRIM .THIS PLACE IS A DOSSERS HOSTEL AND NOT A HOTEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good location near the train station. My room was on the small side, however as I was traveling alone this was not an issue. Breakfast is located a few blocks away from the main hotel but again no major issues. Overall a clean and tidy hotel at a budget price.

||Convenient, clean, for centre. Comfortable beds with three glasses in the bathroom of our triple room (not usual!) along with plenty of towels (although we rarely use more than one each). ||||Plastic sheeting under bedsheet but not noticeable overnight.||||Ok proprietor not very talkative at 01:30 or 07:00!||||Used the hostal to get to airport early. ||||Coffee machine not working unfortunately for morning.||||Difficult to park in evening locally. One way streets confusing for approach. ||||Quiet overnight.

Yelp
Cuatro Caños is small hotel (hostel?) located in the center of Alcalá de Henares, a small city close to Madrid. Why stay in Alcalá de Henares instead of Madrid? - convenient to visit places around Madrid (you don't need the downtown) - 20-25 minutes drive from the Barajas airport - 20-25 minutes drive from Madrid exhibition center - historic, hometown to Cervantes - less expensive than Madrid All of the above make sense only if you drive. If you plan to use public transport - better stay in Madrid. The rooms are tiny and clean. The room service is perfect - room cleaned, towels and linens changed daily. Location is great - you can find many restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. The Cervantes square is also close. Parking options: - San Lucas parking 8€/day, 5 minutes walk from the hotel: https://maps.app.goo.gl/pdxGQyNiq3enWbBc6 - free parking near Alcalá de Henares train station, 7 minutes walk from the hotel: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Rv2s2pVvunVAQRx58 The street and the hotel are is very quiet, no noise, perfect night rest! On the downside, there were problems with hot water. It runs for a minute and it's cold again. Really annoying. I will stay again if the rates are right!

Yelp
This is a nice little economy hotel located in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain, within a short walking distance of the Plaza Cervantes, the Cathedral of Maria la Mayor and lots of other historic sites. It's also a short drive from the Madrid airport, just a little farther away from downtown Madrid on the same side of town. The hotel doesn't offer many amenities, but it is clean, has decent WiFi, hot water, great location, AC/heater, hair dryer, ample closet and drawers for clothes. There are plenty of stores nearby and restaurants for what you may require. Rooms are small but not cramped. The TV on the wall is very small, but does have cable. The window have excellent blinds. Electric outlets are limited but sufficient, 220 only, so bring an adapter for your plugins. There is a machine in the lobby for hot drinks; cold drinks sold from behind the counter. A continental breakfast is provided at the Complutense Bar three blocks away. Ask for your ticket at the front desk and present it to the server at the restaurant. If that is not enough the restaurant offers sizable delicious breakfasts at reasonable prices. There are four floors plus the ground floor and a basement. My room was on the third floor. The elevator is tiny but works fine. My only complaint was that the lobby and halls smelled of cigarette smoke. My room, however, did not. Sheets and towels are hung in the back to dry, so no dryer fluffy towels. I was there for business and didn't have time to do much else but sleep. For that it was fine. I had two single beds, a little short for me, but it worked. Extra blankets were available, and which came in handy during the chilly nights, especially until I figured out how to turn on the heater! Turn in your key every time you exit and pick up again when you return. Considering everything it was nice and clean place to sleep at a good price. Hotel staff were mostly all friendly.
