Customer service was horrendous. In my 18 years of traveling, I have never had witnessed such unprofessionalism with hospitality employees. They did not honor my booking.com reservation, gave us room types we did not reserve. When attempting to show reservation and explain situation, employee and manager refused to review booking.com reservation. They created their policies from thin air. Everything that was in writing/email confirmation was against their policies, but did not show any written policies for what they verbalized. In conversation, during issue, manager repeatedly interrupted me as I tried to explain issue. I could barely get a sentence in; he would continuously talk over me. When I called him on his continued interruptions, he then began reacting in the oddest behavior, as if he was in some type of theatric rendition of play or something. The manager was extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and unbefitting. His approach was uncalled for, extremely emotional and made the rest of my stay feel super uncomfortable. Thankfully we only stayed 1 night. My daughter overheard him also make a racial statement about us. We were a party of 6, my small children witnessed this behavior. I had to spend ample time, calming them down and reassuring everything would be ok. The front desk would also make comment under her breath throughout conversation, also led with some odd prepubescent behavior. This was my only negative experience throughout my whole trip. The people from this country are so hospitable, our other accommodation during our vacation, exceeded all of our expectations, but this experience left such a sour memory for us. I suggest if you do stay in this location, book directly with them (i still would not recommend it) because they will not honor your booking.com reservation. Who knows even if you book with them, they can change their unwritten policies at a whim. Depends how they are feeling that day.
