Good location close to bus stops and easy walk to the downtown plaza. Bathrooms and rooms are a bit basic but do the job. Definitely need some new mattress, some of them looked newer but the one that I was put on felt like foam dissolved the same year as the USSR. Obviously they know it is a issue as they had placed some thinner mattress under it but really not feeling the bed boards would make a huge difference to your sleep. Nice vibe, feels more like you are sharing a big house rather than a hostel which is nice.

The dorms are not nice (dark, humid), kitchen is well equipped, terrace could be super nice but it's not taken care of. Generally, the place could need renovation (baths, terrace, dorms). Small lockers available, friendly staff. BIG MINUS: front door is open all day, no door, no keys, anyone can walk in from the street!!! Luggage storage isn't locked either... even while the receptionist was gone for 2+ hours!!! That is very dangerous for things to get stolen, not very considerate. Also the dorms are lacking plugs to charge your devices. Location is good but not super central. Give this hostel some paint and love and it could be a great place for travelers!

The dorm rooms are terrible. Super old bunk beds that feel like they are gonna fall over, no railings on top bunk, dirty showers that they ask you to keep clean (even though there's nothing to clean with) and no plugs next to beds so you just spend your time sitting around parts of the hostel with plugs. I'd also requested a bottom bunk which was apparently confirmed by email but not in person. For $10 it's pricey, location is decent and near a nice park, staff are friendly enough but not super. Lots to be improved on the hostel and traveller scene.

This hostal is fun and cute. It’s at a great location to be able to walk to the centro histórico of the town and is across the street from a great park. We stayed in a private bedroom that was huge and we had our own balcony and a spacious bathroom. We especially enjoyed the breakfast offered in the morning and found the staff to be kind and helpful. It has a lot of nice shared living spaces and a nice kitchen available to guests

Overall It‘a good hostel. Staff very friendly and attentive, it‘s very clean and my room was big and good as well. Would come again 👍

Better than expected. Would rate it five stars if they either had decent mattresses or added air conditioning to the dorms. The common areas are really nice, comfortable and well-lit (though with very few plugs), and there's hot water in the shower (uncommon in El Salvador), which actually works better than most I've seen across Central America and Mexico. There's also a pretty good kitchen that's now clearly divided between staff and guest sections. The dorms really do have terrible mattresses - they sag in the middle and you can feel the metal bars of the bed frame through them. The dorms also tend to stay pretty hot at night even when the temperature outside cools down. The fans help about enough (and I get hot easily), but it's definitely worth leaving the doors and windows open at least until the first person goes to bed. I didn't have any problems with mosquitos. The place is run in a kind of casual way - there's not much fancy customer service, and procedures are inconsistent (ask if you want a towel or really need a key), but the staff also were nice people who offered to help out with things they didn't have to. There's an adorable cat that destroyed my partner's cheap earbuds, so just be careful with your stuff (it didn't touch any of mine).

A great hostel at the cheaper end. Simple but very clean. Staff was really helpful and shared with me how to get to the bus terminal. The shower is relatively primitive, but it does have hot water!

I am currently staying at this place, having arrived a couple of days ago. On my initial night, I had not made a reservation as I was uncertain of my arrival time. However, upon arriving a day earlier than anticipated, I checked online for availability and found that they indeed had space. Regrettably, upon arrival, I was informed that there was no availability, which was disappointing given my planned three-day stay already booked for the next day. I was asked to order a taxi to there other branch which was about a 10min taxi drive and had to pay for this myself. I then had to order another taxi the next day only to come back to the same hostel. Regarding the accommodation, while the four-bed dormitory offers relative tranquility, the overall ambiance is quite noisy, particularly due to the late hours of operation of the roof/side terrace. Moreover, with only two fans provided for the entire room, each bed lacks individual cooling amenities, which is especially discomforting given the current temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, when requesting a towel, I was informed that none were available, which is an oversight worth noting.
