Worst stay of our trip. We booked for three nights but left after only one night. We had a private room at the front of the building. However, there are two bars on the opposite site of the street that had really loud music till 5 a.m. One of which was karaoke. Couldn't sleep at all. Moreover, our room wasn't clean and the sheets had stains. Staff wasn't helpfull at all. When we asked for clean sheets at the reception we were told there weren't any other sheets we could have. When we checked out we only got a remark on how expensive it is to leave two night early. Only upsides are the airconditioning and the location.

This place never lets me down. I’ve stayed here three times now. Comfy, relaxed, a very nice terrace where you can chill.

This is nice basic hostel. The staff and location are impeccable. The rooms and bathrooms are fine and perfectly okay for a few days especially considering the great price for staying there. The rooftop deck is a must do. Not impressed with the breakfast as there are so many other wonderful eating places in the Centro.

It was a very nice and comfy experience for traveling solo. The receptionist (Arturo) gave me a warm welcome and the whole staff was very nice. The room and bathrooms were clean. It was a little noisy bc of the bar’s area close by but I could sleep very well. Definitely I recommend it for its closeness to the center, only a few blocks away. The fare included a continental breakfast, which was quite good.

This was one of the best accommodations I stayed in Mexico. Great service, staff are lovely, they were helpful with providing tour info & bookings, arranging transportation, info about the general services i.e. local dry cleaning & eateries. The rooms and common areas are cleaned and tidied everyday. Breakfast cooked infront of you every morning and it’s free! |My fav was the outdoor areas - gorgeous rooftop garden and courtyard by the kitchen.

Super noisy, not clean, we were locked in and out multiple times, and expensive for bunk rooms with 6-8 people per room. Edit: I forgot to mention that after 10pm the door is locked (standard for the city) however, we were both locked in AND locked out without communication or keys to get out. One classmate slept in the bus station because the front desk was not there to open the door. We had a discussion with the front desk and they didn't think it was an issue. We were then locked in and out multiple times throughout the stay. This is not only unfair it's a major safety issue. Lastly, we found out that all the room keys were the same and anyone with a key has access to all rooms. I don't recommend staying here. Cleanliness - I'm not a squimish person and typically pretty adaptable but this was too much. Two cockroaches crawled over my feet when I was using the bathroom, they all smelled like feces and seemed like they were not cleaned. One of the moldiest showers I've been in. One room that we were moved to had no AC and no way to get fresh air so it was hot, humid, and extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast - pretty basic, was an egg, toast, and some fruit. No salt or pepper or salsa. They have water but it's ripe for sharing germs since people touch the spigot to their bottle to avoid spilling water. All the photos in the Google listing are definitely pretty old and do not represent what it looks like now. Noisy - The karaoke bar across the street is open for karaoke until 5 AM and you can hear every poor pitch and tone. it was very difficult to sleep. Atmosphere is terrible -They could add some warmth to the place by cleaning it and adding some paint, scrubbing the tile. Horrible hospitality - I stayed here while on a trip for grad school and ended up checking out day three. I tried three different rooms with classmates after we were moved around multiple times, half our group checked out. I would not recommend staying here for a while or if you want any privacy at all. There are other hostels in the area that keep better care of the place and are not so noisy. They do allow you to store food in the fridge if you need to. Expensive - prices are way too high for what you get. The terrace is locked often and we didn't get to use it for unknown reasons even though it's included in the process of the room.

I stayed in this hostel during the guelaguetza festival. The staying was ok, but the price I paid to share with 5 more guys was expensive. My room pretty clean. The breakfast a bit poor and they refused to refill half a cup a (bad) coffee. Staff not so kind, they always forgot to smile, not once in 4 days.....

Staff were lovely and super friendly. Breakfast is delicious (eggs are done nicely!) Great location!! The staff take a lot of pride and keep the place extremely clean, bed was made and towel was included which was very nice, almost as a hotel! Kitchen is well equipped and bathrooms are also very nice. Only reason I left in the end was that my dorm was a little bit hot and stuffy. Terrace has lovely views of the town and sunset!

Yelp
The place is at a great location, close to the Mercado and plenty of restaurants and bars. If you are looking for quit place don't stay here. They have 2 bars across the street that you will be able to hear all the way to your rooms. I wasnt bothered by it at all but some others thought its was too loud.. the people in charge are serious but respectful and make you feel safe and welcome. Bunk beds if you have to stay on top it's an adventure I fell once. Very cheap and you do get to know different kind of people there..

Yelp
Excellent hostel! I'm not a fan of big airport-type hostels, and this was cozy, intimate and super clean. Each room comes with its own IMMACULATE bathroom and each bed has its own outlet and light. Staff is wonderful and local (it's nice when a hostel hires from the local economy). Breakfast is delicious (eggs, fruit, toast). Cute patio and roof garden full of plants, and our dorm had its own cozy terrace! Maybe the only 2 things I'd improve is the spotty wifi (esp in the rooms) and windows that let mosquitoes in (no screens or filters when it's too hot to sleep w them closed), but this is easy to forgive when everything else is so cute and pleasant throughout the hostel, and you can tell that the owner really poured her soul into making this place so lovely, so the hostel definitely deserves 5 stars!
