Perfect place to stay in Lima! Staff were the among the best & kindest we’ve ever had anywhere we’ve stayed. They took care of us like family for our first time out of our home country. They had the room ready early which was so needed after 24hours of travel. When I might have needed to stay longer before departure, they happily accomodated our personal needs. Breakfast was homestyle with the most delicious bread & fresh Peruvian juice. They gave us as much clean water as we required, which eased our travel dehydration. They provide ozone water, so bacteria, viruses and contaminants are not a concern here. Hot drinks are provide at all hours, the compounds is extremely secure and comfortable, night is quite and I slept better here than anywhere else we stayed while in Peru. They even provide traditional wool blankets and top quality Peruvian cotton comforters. I honestly cannot believe the quality of service & comfort for the price. Extremely affordable!! Recommend eating at Restaurante Contraste around the corner. They are a high end, hole in the wall, fine dining spot with sustainably sourced local ingredients and an amazing 6 or 8 course tasting menu, family owned & operated. This location & hotel is seriously a gem!! You should not be disappointed.

This hotel did not live up to our expectations. Although the location was indeed premium, the rest was not. The rooms felt old and outdated, the sheets as well. The bathroom was as well, while the shower had a really weak water stream, it felt like showering under a faulty faucet. Also there was no common area where you could socialize. Breakfast was fine but nothing special; what they had was good quality but the size of the buffet was too small (no chocolate paste or meats or anything to put on the bread).

We absolutely loved our stay at Hostal El Patio — 1 night, became 3, became 4, and we’ve left knowing where we’ll stay next time we’re in Lima! The staff were so sweet and friendly, as well as very helpful. We also appreciated the high level of cleanliness, cosy bedding (duvets and throws), and tasty breakfast included in our stay. Having a fridge and kettle in the room was a great bonus too. Highly recommend — for plant and cat lovers in particular!

This hotel is fantastic. A beautiful,old-style layout with a beautiful patio and upstairs open lounge and gathering place. The owner, John was very good on communicating. We contacted him from the USA a few months prior to our visit and over time he helped us with answers to questions on transfer from the airport, restaurant recommendations and other questions. I definitely recommend this hostel!!

This place is just charming. It has a lovely garden. The rooms are basic but spotless. |The staff are all gracious and helpful, truly at your service.|Breakfast is very nice with fresh juice, eggs to order, various breads, jams and butter, cereal yogurt and a wide variety of fruits.

I thought we were supposed to be staying in a hotel but once arrived realised it was a hostel. Basic accommodation but clean. No provision for hot or cold drinks in room.

You get what you pay for; this hotel was alright. I was fortunate to be placed away from the main road. My friend was roomed right at the front of the building and had to deal with street noises and people noises all night long. She did not sleep well. The bed was pretty hard, and the pillows weren't great either. No AC. There was a standing fan, no ceiling fan. The staff were wonderful, but nothing else stands out. Perhaps a good option if you want cheap and can deal with discomfort. I personally need higher quality than this, but I'm not 20 years old anymore. I stayed here for a night because it is where my group was meeting up at, and am glad I only did one night here.

After a months sleeping in hostels of dubious cleanliness and safety it was amazing to come here. The staff are just so nice and the hotel is spotlessly clean with great breakfasts and loads of really cool common areas. They also have a really generous check in time (1pm) and checkout time (12pm). And they also let us use the common areas and store our bags when we had a 10pm bus which was really nice. I would really recommend this hotel.
