The best relation Price quality. Very comfortable, clean, and spacious. I could work during the morning after preparing my breakfast. The guys at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The location is very central. I love it.

Not a good experience with flying donkey. We had a confirmed booking on hostelworld but when we arrived they told us that there was no room left. They did not feel sorry about this and did not help to find another place to stay.
We already paid an amout in Hostelworld so we asked that they cancel our reservation so we get the money back. After a full day, the reservation was still not canceled so we had to complain ourselves to Hostelworld.

Located in the center of Otavalo, this hostel was very convenient, but there was a lot of street noise at night. The facility was clean and had a nice kitchen, but it was a bit rundown with linoleum floors and sewer gas smells in the bathroom. The staff was friendly, but not as professional as the staff in other hostels I visited in Ecuador. I would stay here again, however.

The place was very nice! The kitchen is ok, the staff was very nice, they gave me a towel and a roll of toilet paper haha the quality and location is amazing comparing to the price! I met some really cool travelers, but it always depends on who you run into 😊

We stayed one night without knowing anything about this hostel in advance—we had an issue with booking at another place and they brought us here. We got lucky! The bed was comfortable, the showers were hot with good water pressure, and though we did not use it, the kitchen and terrace were super nice. The location is good. We were on the front of the building and there is some noise, but that is to be expected on a weekend in the city. Towels and shampoo provided are a nice touch!

Nice hostel located in a good place (on the edge of the Saturday Market, so it is not affected badly by blocks, etc.)
The WiFi is a bit problematic
The employees are not too helpful (don't speak English and don't have information or recommendations on the city.
Would still recommend staying there though, as the location and the convenient rooms are worth it.

The staff is fantastic. The owner is incredibly kind and caring. I got sick while I was there and he personally took me to a doctor, then took me to a lab for blood tests, then to a pharmacy to fill prescriptions. He even bought me food to take with the meds! After that, he put me back to bed. He knocked on the door every time I had to take my medicine, made sure I ate a half hour before medicine time. The man was amazingly kind and helpful||||The hostel is kept spotlessly clean and neat. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. You really could not ask for more in a hostel. There is a great common area and kitchen.||||If you are going to Otavalo. The Flying Donkey is the place to stay. It is also conveniently located, a few blocks from the bus station

There are a lot of hostels in Otavalo. The flying donkey for us is the best. It is kept superclean, run by a very helpfull and lovely family. The beds are comfy, the showers powerfull and hot. The kitchen is well equipped and kept very clean and organized. A big table in the kitchen to eat, socialize and play games.|| They serve coffee and fresh fruit every morning (complementary). ||The location is close to everything (big supermarket and fruit and vegetable market 2 blocks up, walking distance to the terminal and only a few blocks to the colourfull plaza de ponchos market.)||And all this for a good price (private room w own bathroom and towels for 20 dollars).
