Our flight/ transfer was delayed slightly so when we arrived the Guadalupe restaurant where the reception was located inside was all locked up and in darkness. We walked around the area with our luggage to try and find the rooms but couldn't find them as we found out after there wasn't any signage above the accommodation. By chance as we walked back down a man was coming out of the restaurant, I told him we had a booking and he sighed and said we were lucky as he wasn't supposed to be here and all they had was our name but no arrival time. He made a call regarding our booking then took us back up the hill to our accommodation, it was up 3 flights and he went on ahead with no offer of assistance with luggage. ( I was travelling with my young daughter) We didn't see any other staff during our stay apart from a knock on door once asking if we needed any towels. It is in a great location but the apartment and our arrival/service let it down badly. I understand that it's 2 star but it was run down, and just a few changes could make a big difference. The bathroom door was a plastic concertina door that was to big for the door so didn't fit the runner and it wouldn't close and had no lock. The pillows needed replacing and our views were dirty, also the balcony is very small. This wouldn't be too bad but the balcony was used for storing cleaning equipment, so you sitting on the balcony with mop bucket etc beside you. See photos attached.
