HOSTAL GUADALUPE

We stayed for two nights in mid-August to celebrate our 40th birthdays. Overall, we had a lovely stay, but there are a few things worth knowing before you book.||The room was compact and the balcony even smaller – just enough space for one chair. The bathroom showed some wear and tear, with signs of a leak under the laminate flooring starting to cause a bit of damage.||On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well, which made for a good night’s sleep in the summer heat. The shower had great pressure, though it did tend to flood the floor if you weren’t careful!||Getting to the rooms can be a bit of an adventure — it’s a maze of steep, uneven stairs and dimly lit corridors, so something to be aware of if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage.||The location, however, is absolutely unbeatable — just seconds from the beach and surrounded by fantastic bars and restaurants. Benalmádena is about a 30-minute walk, and the old town is just up the steps from the hotel, making it easy to explore.

Wow checked in today and the room and bathroom are lovely. The balcony is a great size. It's so close to the beach and shops. The man who checked me in was very polite and gave a lot of information about the restaurant and also the WiFi.

The rooms need renovation, the floor panels in the bathroom are unpleasant to look at, and the water overflowing from the shower tray smells unpleasant.It's a cheap hotel, but it could use a little effort to improve its image. Very nice customer service, very good food

Just back from 4 nights at this little gem of a hotel!! My wife and I had room 106 on the first floor. Lovely clean room with a good size balcony which had a view out to the beach. We also had no noise from any of the other rooms which was a bonus!! the bed was very comfortable and our towels were changed daily. We didn't use the restaurant below for our visit this time but would dine there if we went back, which we probably will. ||The location is perfect just up off the beach close to bars and restaurants and is on the main thoroughfare up to the Town Centre||Our room wasn't quite ready for us when we got there but we were a bit early arriving. We were able to leave our bags and we headed out for a walk to find some lunch and about an hour later we got a WhatsApp message from the hotel telling us our room was ready. ||Please give this little gem of a hotel a try for your next short stay in Torremolinos, you won't be disappointed.

I was disappointed in Hostal Guadalupe. Extremely difficult to find, its location does not match with what Waze has as its location. Further, we arrived nearby and it was nearly impossible to find a suitable parking space. They stated the only parking available was on the street, with severe limitations in parking availability and parking restrictions during certain hours. Ok, this is not the Hostal´s fault, but this makes it much less attractive than other places in the same area. What we did not find nearly as nice as we thought were the room, the stairs to get to the room, the nearly absent views from our room (granted, the only good view is from a general area hotel terrace facing the ocean). Everything is very small, the pictures do not reflect how narrow, small, un-spacious the place seemed to us. The restaurant really is a restaurant that appears to be unrelated to the hotel, so an employee in the restaurant gave us confusing information about how to check in, when checking counter was right within the restaurant. The method to open the general door for access of registered guests after hours is also unwielded. I guess the owners, or employees there, were respectful and served us in terms of checking us in and out in due time and with due respect. But I honestly expected much more charm and ease to get there, check in, and to reach our room, than what happened in reality. And the flushing of the bathroom toilet was not functioning well, either. I hope the owners improve the facilities and clarify the information about its location and clarify that parking is essentially impossible. Honestly, I was dissapointed and would not go back to it. Stayed here previously before covid. It’s in a good location at the bottom of the path/ road that leads down from uptown Torremolinos. So it’s easy to reach from the railway station if you are coming by train from the airport. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We had the top level room with the terrace and sun loungers which is great if the sun shines. Good Wi-Fi and tv reception.

I ordered chicken carbonara. It was terrible. There was no sauce and no chicken. It resembled a congealed lump of pasta. When I complained the waitress stood and shook her head and walked away, not one word of apology or help. The toilets were also disgusting, and had no toilet paper. A really bad experience, avoid at all costs.

Good location, easy to find from train station just a short walk. reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Room was OK small but clean. Very noisy outside and the smell from the restaurant below was strong. Plenty bars restaurants around this. Seafront a short walk also.

The food was so Good!!!...and the staff is amazing. You need to order the Paella the day before or in the morning.
