Hostal La Palma

Our family ate lunch here today and spent well over eur 150. The glass of rose wine served was oxidized, and was sent back promptly. Yet it appeared on the bill and the waiter rudely refused to deduct it. All in all, poor attitude from staff have ruined the end of a holiday lunch. The food was nothing special and the tables are too close to each other for comfort.

Cleanliness - very good|Shower pressure - good except took a while for water to heat|Beds- reasonably comfortable|Air conditioning|Above a restaurant that is very popular so ask for a room at the back of the hotel. It is very central to the port and tourist attractions. The included breakfast was good. Overall I would go back (however I think the photo is a little deceptive).

Okay. . we didn't stay at the hostel but we have eaten at the restaurant a dozen times over the last few years. The staff are efficient, jovial and friendly. They were very happy to help with my average Spanish speaking too. The prices are just right and the location is great. Fornells is a great part of the island and there are plenty of places to walk after you have had some food. As a vegetarian the options were limited but the rest of my family enjoyed the seafood options.

Disgusting Hostal The room.. horrible. Small and sad. Poor level hostal (not a hotel) where to get inside your room, you have to pass though a towny bar.. terrible. The owners treated customers as 1st and 2nd class. E.g. during the poor cheap breakfast (horrible experience), they offered us hostal customers, the orange juice like 1€ (2 L).. and to the bar customers they offered freshly squeezed orange juice... shame on them. Sad to see. Ps. Breakfast is served on the bar down the hostal.. all mixed up.. terrible the treatment, the worse) Flies all over the breakfast food.. Worse breakfast ever. Also considering that the price of the room was FIVE times above what it should be. July in Menorca. This kind of room should cost 20 eur/night MAX, not >175€ Small room. No views. For 175€ the night. NEVER again.

We stopped here for dinner one evening recently, and had a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings. Apart from Fornells being a fantastic location for a visit, this restaurant in particular delivered on all fronts, as recommended by the local company we went snorkelling with. The food was really tasty, myself and my partner had the waiter's recommendation, which was the local mixed fish selection, and this was very tasty and excellent value. My son had a Pizza, which although less exciting, was good none the less. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere very conducive to a nice evening out, and value for money was first class, 54 Euro for the 3 of us (with drinks). Would highly recommend, and would return.

Right in the heart of Fornells lies this family run property with added bonus of a great restaurant offering fab food & drinks ||Our overnight stay in the property was in a ground floor room opposite the swimming pool in a room called “ Biniaguas” which was clean, spacious and was well equipped with a safe , TV and Air Conditioning along with fluffy towels ||The property owners were extremely friendly and informative plus the breakfast on our last morning was superb in the restaurant ||Overall I highly recommend this 2 Star Pension property for a stay in Fornells

We stayed a week here, B+B, from 2-9 October 2018, booked through Bookings.com. Our room was excellent, ground floor overlooking pool and garden. Towels changed daily, bed linen in mid-stay. The owner/manager Miguel was very helpful and friendly as were his staff - special mention to the two guys running the bar/ restaurant, who were superb. Breakfast buffet - cold meats, cheese, bread pastries etc., was very good - coffee was excellent. We also ate here two nights - very nice tapas - good value. Cannot understand why the place is only rated two star. Top place - highly recommended!

Great food, great service, great food! Just the weather let it down!||Drove to Fornells for some well earned lunch ! Eaten here before but always been a bit rushed. |However we had time on this visit & great tapas - patatas bravas, olive & tomato topped bruschetta, steamed mussels (fantastic!)& breaded cheeses, followed by some Menorcan cheesecake and some Ice cream ! All washed down by a bottle of Muga Rosada -perfect!
