We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Leymebamba that was recommended by our previous hotel in Nuevo Tingo. The building is modern and well-maintained, with clean, comfortable, well-equipped rooms and a calm, relaxed atmosphere. What really made the experience stand out, was the amazing host. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and insightful. He really helped us out. This place is easily the best choice for anyone visiting Leymebamba — practical, comfortable, and run by someone who obviously cares about his guests. High praise, well-deserved. I really can’t recommend this hotel enough.

This is a new hotel that has been extremely well thought out for travelers. There is a kettle in each room, two comfy beds with new, clean bedding. The showers are hot and powerful. The rooms bright and pristinely clean. There is a small kitchen where he provides the necessaries for hot drinks. The owner is extremely kind and will go out of the way to give you what you need. He even allowed us to bring our 3 large adventure motorbikes inside his beautiful hotel. 5 stars and a great price.

Recent renovation has transformed this hostel into a modern, clean & beautifully- decorated place. Owners are lovely and beds and showers are excellent.

Great location, eco-friendly hostel with free drinking water (no plastic bottles). Kitchen use is possible. Bicycles are also available. Guests can enjoy the comfort of a brand new hotel and the friendliness and helpfulness of a hostel. The owners graciously helped us out of a pickle (there are no ATMs in Leymebamba!) and also kept our luggage while we were gone to the Laguna de los condores for two nights. Town is very cute, laid back, with nice cafes and crafts, and a great museum. the small hike to La Congona was also very pleasant.

The water pressure was great and really hot shower. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable. The hotel over all was a bit empty looking but overall a good experience since we weren't expecting to spend too much time in the hotel itself anyway. Great for a short stay and very nice staff

The hostal is still undergoing some refurbishing but I found its accommodations excellent. WiFi worked fine, the rooms were clean, showers had hot water. Once the construction is finished it should have a great upstairs deck with a kitchen to look out on the plaza de Armas. An earlier review had a complaint that the windows could be pushed open but they have fixed that problem with a latch on the inside. Overall a good accommodation in leimebamba.

This is one of the places I added to Google Maps just so I can give it a one star review. It's a paradise for thieves! Every single room has a window to the hall that can be opened from outside with a simple push. There is no way to lock the window from inside the room. This means that anybody can enter any room through the window and steal whatever they want. Why they even have doors or locks is beyond me. The water in the shower is either scalding hot or ice cold. You spend most of your time in the shower trying to adjust the temperature faster than the "system" is adjusting against you wasting a lot of water in the process and hopefully not burning your skin. The toilets are designed in a way that a simple dump will clog them up. The Wi-Fi is weak and very unreliable. In a town with no working data through the mobile phone network this is bad. The price for the hotel is cheap in absolute terms, but in relative terms to other hotels in Peru it's pretty expensive which is another big no no when there are so many flaws.
