Hostal Lazybones

Stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Leon. The hostel is like a calm oasis in the middle of the city, with the pool being a big plus. Shaded areas also provide cool places to relax and the pool table and table tennis table were nice additions! Rooms were spacious, no air con but fan worked fine. Only downside is there’s no kitchen so depends what you’re looking for. Free coffee in the mornings too! Would definitely recommend Lazybones hostel.

I had a very chill stay, mainly just enjoying the pool and the hammocks in the yard. The dorm was fine and not too busy, it is a bit unfortunate that there are only ceiling fans however. The beds and lockers are fairly large which is great. Their breakfast is good but if you want Gallo Pinto you can also easily find it somewhere cheaper.

My husband and I stayed at Lazybones for 5 nights while in Leon. We used Leon as our base for exploring nearby regions and hiking nearby volcanoes. Lazybones was extremely convenient for us for a few reasons. First and foremost, they have reception 24 hours so if you need to leave early in the morning for a tour, you are able to do so. Its location is very close to the center of Leon with many restaurants and street food vendors close by to choose from. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. We have nothing but good things to say about Lazybones. We highly recommend it if you find yourself in Leon.

Perfectly good hostel, centrally located in Nicaragua's top city, Leon. My room was sufficiently large and the fan worked very well, so the heat was no real issue. During my stay, the place was quiet but the spacious common area offered good opportunities to meet other travelers. This is no party hostel overrun with teens and early twens from Europe and in my mind, this is a plus. The ladies at the front desk were very kind. I can recommend Lazybones for your stay at Leon.

The rooms were super hot & allowing people to smoke all over with open windows was gross. Left after 1 night. No kitchen, bathrooms far from some of the rooms, no social atmosphere, staff not friendly at all.

Nice place to stay in Leon, is located very close to the central park, restaurants & bars around. Very clean & comfortable beds, not party hostel which was important for us to stayed in a calm hostel after our long trip, we highly recommended.

This is one of the most accessible hostel ( for wheelchair user) I've visited. Really amazing work!! This is a backpacking hostel with a younger vibe to it. As a professional Nomad, you sometimes just need some buzzing about to enjoy the luxury of your own room on travels. The location is good. Staff are helpful. The space, common/ general space are really good, and wifi seems to reach everywhere. Was easy to do work both in the common area and in the dorm. Rooms/ dorms are big comfy bed. Only thing missing would be curtains to give you some more privacy. Free coffee every morning and they do serve breakfast at the back( by the pool) for affordable price.

We booked a privat room and arrived early that day it was not a problem to get into that room early and we where glad to put all our stuff in the room. The place is really calm, the pool is so nice to escape of the heat for a while. They have cold drinks to buy, you can get free coffee or tee in the morning and they have really good pancakes. Breakfirst is not included but also not expensive. Really great, friendly and helpfull stuff. Not a party hostel. We had a nice stay and would come back.
