Hostal Maestre

Great location for the main tourist sites of Córdoba, and there's a bus stop at the start of the street for bus service from the train station. The staff were friendly, and the place seemed clean enough. The layout consists of rooms around a couple of courtyards, so not the greatest when it's raining as it was when I was there. It also means there can be quite a few stairs up and down depending on what room you get. I did get upgraded to a private room so it's hard for me to rate the hostel part, though I wasn't even notified of it so I can't even say if it was on purpose or accidentally. However, mirroring other reviews, the soundproofing seemed to be non-existent which isn't great especially with the rooms all facing into a courtyard. Other than that, it was comfortable enough. They have both a hotel and hostel, so be aware that the hostel reception is further up the street.

Great location. 24/7 reception and very nice and helpful. The AC runs well and silently. We had a double bed and one bed was a bit lower than the other.

Great location, 1 minute walking from the river. The receptionists were very polite and welcoming. The rooms were fully equipped and clean. I would only comment that there is no soundproof between the rooms.

The location is good if you want to go sightseeing around Cordoba, the mezquita is a 10 min walk away , and the centre around 10-15 min. The staff speaks lil english but they’ve very polite, also when you’re checking out they’re asking if you want a taxi which is very nice especially when you can’t find anything available on uber. It’s also safe !! which is important

This is a very good option for staying in Córdoba if you don't want to spend too much on accommodation. The location is perfect, there are a number places to visit just a around the corner and it's 10 mins walk to the mezquita. I stayed as solo traveller in one of the double rooms with own bathroom. The room was spacious and even had a balcony towards the street. The room has it's own Aircon and the WiFi works perfectly. The bed was comfortable and the the room appeared very clean. This is a hostel so there are a lot of budget travellers in and out all day but there was absolutely no issue with the noise at all. In fact I barely noticed that I am in a hostel. The staff is nice and helpful and there is almost all the time someone to help you with anything. A couple of suggestions that would make a huge difference: rooms should have a mini fridge (they are very inexpensive nowadays!), the shower curtain is too short and the water comes out the floor and bedside lamps should have some sort of shade for a moody light option. Other than that, hard to fault anything at all.

The service is good and the room is good, the location is totally strategical! I would also say this is the best hotel i have ever been (consider the price). It’s 2-star but very decent, a great deal you got with the price offered :) love it love it. Keep up the good work

Nice little hotel within walking distance to most things. The local bus stops right outside.|Hotel was comfortable, a bit cold in lobby, but rooms had adjustable controls. Twin room was two singles pushed together but can be separated. Good shower pressure and lighting in room. |Pleasant stay

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Staff are really friendly and helpful, Hotel is beautiful and set in a superb location. Amazing value for money. Thank you for a wonderful stay we will definitely return here on our next visit to Cordoba.
