A Wonderful Stay – Great Value and Warm Hospitality! We stayed at this lovely hotel and had such a positive experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive– always ready to help with a smile. The room was clean, beds and pillows comfortable, and well maintained. I really have to emphasize the peace and quiet. I never thought I will sleep so well in Ibiza. You couldn't hear a thing at night. One of the highlights was the breakfast – fresh, tasty, and with a nice variety to choose from. Highly recommended – We would definitely stay here again!

Disappointing stay due to theft and indifferent reaction We stayed at Hostal Mallorca in Sant Antoni between June 10 and 18. The location is excellent — central, close to the bus stop, the beach, and restaurants, and the rooms are clean and comfortable — in line with the usual reviews (average 8.8/10). Advantages: • Central location, easy access to all attractions. • Clean rooms, daily cleaning service, and features like air conditioning and a minibar. • Friendly reception at first… Significant issues: 1. The safe didn’t work — it was necessary to request a plug from the reception, which we were not informed about at check-in. We left €150 in a skirt inside the closet, and after around 36–48 hours, we found the money was missing. 2. The security guard, who until then would just greet us briefly, suddenly became too friendly — he high-fived my boyfriend and started calling us “my brother,” behavior that made us feel uncomfortable. 3. When we reported the money missing, we were told it was “our fault” because we hadn’t used the safe, and there was no investigation offered (CCTV, inventory, staff check). The attitude was one of complete indifference. This experience was even more disappointing because we genuinely trusted the hotel. We were planning to leave a generous tip at the end of the stay and, on the day we discovered the theft, we had even checked availability for a new holiday in September. However, after this incident, I started to constantly feel unsafe, I had nightmares about what happened, and on the last night, we decided not to stay any longer. We checked out at 11:00 PM simply because we no longer felt safe in that place. Hostal Mallorca offers strong points — location, cleanliness, and comfort — but these are completely overshadowed by the theft in the room and the lack of involvement and strange behavior from the staff. The lack of information about the safe, the cold reaction at reception, and the inappropriate attitude of the security guard created a feeling of insecurity and lack of professionalism. I do not recommend this hostel until: 1. Instructions about the safe and PIN are clearly communicated at check-in. 2. Staff are trained to handle complaints with empathy and seriousness. 3. Security procedures are implemented (CCTV, controlled access). Tips for future travelers: • Upon arrival, ask for details about the safe and the associated PIN. • Don’t leave valuables in the room unless you confirm the safe is functional. • If something goes wrong, report it to the reception immediately — don’t wait until check-out.

RESTAURANT ONLY REVIEW: Service is friendly, food is good & affordable! most brekky options are €7.5 or less including a drink which really helps with the Ibiza budget. We came here twice on our trip and it was good both times :) They offer brekky until 2pm too so great after a sleep in. Would recommend for a feed.

What we liked: Great central location, easy access to everything. Daily cleaning service, air conditioning, and a minibar in the room. The receptionist was very friendly at first, offering us coffee each morning and greeting us warmly. Major issues: The room safe was not functional unless you requested a plug/PIN from the front desk — something we were never told at check-in. We left €150 hidden in a skirt in the closet, and after around 36–48 hours, the money was gone. On the day we realized the money was missing, the night guard — who had previously just greeted us formally — suddenly became overly friendly. He high-fived me and started calling me “my brother,” which felt really off and uncomfortable under the circumstances. When we reported the missing money to the reception, the response was cold and dismissive. We were told it was “our fault” for not using the safe. No checks were made: no CCTV review, no questioning of staff, not even an official record of the complaint. What made this even more disappointing was that, until this incident, we genuinely trusted the place. We were even planning to leave a generous tip at the end of our stay, and on the very day we discovered the theft, we had checked the availability for a future trip in September. But after this happened, my partner felt constantly unsafe, had nightmares, and we ended up deciding to leave early. We checked out at 11 PM on our last night simply because we no longer felt safe staying there. I do not recommend this hostel unless: Guests are clearly informed at check-in about the safe and how to get the PIN. Staff are trained to handle complaints with empathy and professionalism. Proper security measures are implemented (CCTV, access control, and complaint documentation). Tips for future guests: Ask about the safe and how it works as soon as you arrive. Do not leave valuables in the room unless the safe is working properly. If anything goes wrong, report it to the front desk immediately — don’t wait until checkout.

Pros: Friendly staff with a great little cafe downstairs. The free beach umbrellas were a bonus. Great location, walking distance to anything you'd need in the city and only 8 mins walking from the bus station. Rooms are air conditioned with a mini fridge. Cons: Air conditioner is set on a timer and turns off about every 2 hours. You cannot change the settings (temp, fan, etc.) of the AC unit at all. We got both a balcony and non balcony room and the balcony rooms were tiny. Don't choose this one. It's noisy as the walls are thin.

A must for your stay in Sant Antoni! Its prime location made exploring Ibiza effortless, while the bar was a highlight and the breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff went above and beyond, offering a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout my stay. It is impeccably clean, and the rooms are incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend.
