While we were driving around the island we called into Mar Y Sal for a quick coffee. There is plenty of parking which is great. The coffee was lovely and reasonably priced. The place itself is only small but has that hippy Ibiza feel. It is also right on the beach. Would recommend.

A truly great hotel! Beautiful rooms, a perfect location, and a delicious restaurant right next door are also included. It's just 50 meters to the sea, and parking is free. Fantastic! But unfortunately, the service in the restaurant is so poor. Not just inattentive, but truly lackluster and, at times, even downright unfriendly. It almost makes you feel bad when, after waiting 10-15 minutes and being moderately busy, you ask if you can order. With room prices around €200 i expect something different.

We spent one night before flying off.

Exterior:
Entering the outside area felt like a cheap backpackers vibe, maybe due to the fact that this area is also a walk through area for whoever goes to the beach and isnt hotel guests only. Even the hotel downstairs area is quite low key - dark, strange reception and a dead bar area indoors.

Rooms:
But then once you enter the first floor it’s super stylish, very nice art, extremely beautiful lighting and the room was nicely decorated. A really nice moment to enter this space which is completely different to everything below the first floor. We really like it ! The only real downside was this: The AC fan was too strong on lowest setting - we knew it would affect us negatively lying in the strong draft (lowest setting far) all night. So we opened the balcony door - Unfortunately they have really bright lights out there that stay on all night. It would have been great if it was possible to switch off the balcony lights but they stayed on for all balconies and weren’t switch off-able. All in all a super lovely room with a great modern shower. Theres a strong polarity between the downstairs and the upstairs which I didn’t mind too much but it DEFINITELY takes away from the whole picture as its not giving you a cohesive experience. The proximity to the ocean and guaranteed parking makes up for it though. Breakfast: I absolutely loved the breakfast and liked that it was a la carte instead of a buffet. The waitress was very very friendly and attentive in the morning. A very positive experience! Guest Service: Our welcoming host could have definitely been warmer / more welcoming. Not sure if we even smiled once, was very serious in attitude and it would have been a great fit for the beautiful room to actually have someone make you feel welcome. Same for the good bye chat. I dont think I was asked how everything was etc… it would be brilliant for this hotel to have really glowing people there tending to guests. Restaurant:
Breakfast was great and the waitress was very very friendly. A very positive experience!

I come here for my morning coffee before work! The staff are very friendly! The area is always very clean! I also visited with my family and we were all able to get some shelter from the heat and a nice meal in us! It’s a pretty cool little hidden treasure of the salines area. In the summer months it attracts a lot of tourists but during the rest of the year you can expect to meet some of the lovely locals that surround the area!

We had a really great stay at Mar Y Sal, having stayed in 3 other hotels in Ibiza and not enjoyed - this hostel made the trip to Ibiza worth it. Just a minutes walk from a beautiful beach, really (really) good food including an amazing included breakfast, fantastic service and general great vibe. If you can I’d recommend trying to get a room on the beach side, the road noise woke us up in the morning but other than that a perfect stay & superb value for money.

Absolutely horrible. horrible food, horrible service, horrible owners. owner was discriminatory, if you are a minority i would avoid at all costs. owner also called me and group of friends a racial slur and used profanity repeatedly. disgusting interaction that does not reflect the rest of the island. spend your money where people respect you.

Seems like a place geared towards 20 year olds ☺️ Stayed for a day was nice. The only issue is that you have to wait around for a while to find someone at the reception, and the garage door must be opened via the receptionist. There is no numpad available
